Ain't democracy grand? Americans take to the streets to protest National Socialism.
Obama's home state draws tens of thousands of people. While Obama was giving another pathetic campaign speech - ya know how he does - he tips his head and smiles that broad fake smile from ear to ear. Today he spoke to the cheers of union members of the AFL-CIO, selling his national socialized heathcare plan. Funny, those union members will be exempt from the plan ..............
This was Michigan:
As for the Tea party in Illinois, three cheers for you. Tea Party Express was there! New Lenox!

It turns out that Chicago's local media provided very favorable coverage of the event. See, NBC Chicago, "Tea Party Rally Draws Huge Crowd," and especially, WLS-TV Chicago, "Protest Bus Stops in New Lenox":
Conservative roadshow The Tea Party Express rolled into suburban New Lenox this Labor Day, drawing an expectation-breaking crowd of thousands who decried President Barack Obama, his health care initiative and stimulus spending.
And in St. Louis!
St. Louis- The Franklin County Patriots rocked Union City Park in Union, Missouri, today, as over 3,000 patriots and 3 dissenters flooded with field with Red, White, and Blue.
And in Northern Michigan
Robert was there and wrote:
Joe the Plumber returned to Northern Michigan yesterday along with Congressman Fulton Sheen, Congressman Pete Hoekstra, Randy the Trucker (he has spoken for Gov. Huckabee) and about 900 very interested individuals regarding their love for and direction of this country. It began with a prayer, the singing of the National Anthem and then each of the above mentioned spoke about the FairTax, the government, socialism, etc. I was intrigued with the ease with which Joe the Plumber spoke. He very calmly stated that he is a Christian and an American, elaborated quite elagantly on each of those topics and with simplicity mixed with common sense, spoke about what is wrong with our current government. We were all very impressed. The overpowering view was that he, without a teleprompter, spoke so well, spoke with such integrity, honesty and humility, and highlighted what was important to him which, I believe, is a mirror image of what our founding fathers believed in. You did not have to try and pick through his words to determine if he was being honest or not. It was plain as day.
Here's today's tea party in Frisco Texas. Hat tip Katherine and thanks to Denise for these pics. (I'll be speaking there November 7th - make sure you get your ticket.) TEXAS TEA!
And this report from New Joisey! (hat tip Tom Dolan)
A small pathetic group of counter protesters march around the periphery of the green with ancient election posters.
Our buddy Tom was there to capture the scenes on video and photos!
Morristown Green was the site of Lafayette telling George Washington and Alexander Hamilton that France was going to assist the colonies in their rebellion against England.
