Amina and Sarah Said: Confession from the Mom from Hell
I asked Gail Gartrell, "honor" killing murder victims Amina and Sarah Said's aunt, if she would take a moment and share her thoughts on Tissy Said's (Amina and Sarah's mother) recent confession. Despicable. The Muslims for whom she covered and abetted no longer have use for her, so she will now mine the murder of those tortured girls.
I, for one, believe Tissy should be in jail. Her crocodile tears, almost two years later, are transparent and pathetic. It is only now that she admits that it was an honor killing, but it was Gail Gartrell who was brave and true to those girls. Gail exposed the honor killing right after the murders, at their funeral. Gail spoke for those girls when no one would. Gail has received an unremitting, unrelenting string of death threats since Amina and Sarah's murder, merely for speaking the truth about the "honor" killing.
Does the murderous mom think that the magic words "honor kiling" are her get out of jail free card?
I have no sympathy for Tissy. This latest media ploy reeks of opportunism. She deserves jail and knows it. She brought the girls back after they had run away. They were dead less than 24 hours later. Tissy's myspace page after Amina and Sarah's death was "yaser's girl," with pictures of herself with Yaser.
This was her profile pic:
Tissy withdrew the affidavit she originally signed when the girls were seven and eight, testifying that Yaser had raped them.
Said physically and
emotionally abused his children.
In October 1998, when Amina and Sarah were 9 and 8 years old, they accused
their father of sexual abuse.
The allegations were reported to the Hill County sheriff's office, where the
girls told a detective their father had been touching them inappropriately.
Amina told authorities she had been penetrated at least once.
Their mother swore in an affidavit that the allegations were true. (here)
The two girls told authorities that they had lied about
the allegations because they didn't want to attend rural Covington schools and
wanted to go live with their grandmother. A district judge later dropped the
charges of aggravated sexual assault against Mr. Said.
Tissy is vile. She went to with the brother of Yaser Said after her daughters were murdered. And then went on the lam with another "devout Muslim". And so now they have discarded her. She is alone and she thinks she can exploit those poor beleaguered girls.
Not on my watch.
Here is Aunt Gail's take on Tissy's newly found guilt:
Emotionally Bankrupt
I have to admit, I was so excited when I saw a lead in to the news last
night! There Tissy sat speaking about the girls and admitting they were honor
murdered! My heart raced hoping she was finally going to tell the facts and
truths which led up to her daughters murders. I was so thankful she was finally
going to tell the truth and some justice would be had for Amina and Sarah.
Then, the news came on and my heart fell to the ground. The only full
truth I heard was the declaration of these murders being Honor murders! Oh, Bud
Gillett, the reporter, was very insightful and asked great questions in which we
all want answers to, but Tissy remained very guarded with her answers. You can
watch this interview at: cbs11tv.com.
In fact, Tissy denied the sexual abuse which is on record at Hill County,
in Texas! On this topic, I can speak with much knowledge as it was Amina who
spoke very candidly with me about this. Sarah too, chimed in and said what her
dad did hurt her! As a result, I choose to go with the words spoken by the
victims themselves! This denial infuriated me as she should be telling
everything she can to get Yasser caught! Instead, she defended him by what she
said. I have read this document written by Tissy's own hand and it spoke of
sodomy and penetration! How could a mother deny these horrors when her girls
are lying in the ground? Lives ended and destroyed because of ideologies which
require "cleansing."
Tissy, stated that she was unaware of honor killings when the girls were
murdered. That's another falsehood as I asked her if she realized that it was
Yaser's culture and or, religious beliefs which placed her girls in the morgue?
Her reply, "I know." It was this reply which first triggered my anger and gave
me insight into the reality of what the girls must have gone through. This reply
also told me that Tissy knew this was an honor killing, but she would not say
so! This conversation happened while the girls were still at the morgue! In as
much, why was it important for her to act as though she was clueless? Tissy,
claims that she now believes they were honor murdered since she read some
"pamphlets on honor killing." Wow! A pamphlet? Where do you get those?
When Mr. Gillett asked Tissy questions I noticed most answers were vague.
Especially, if those questions could somehow involve her as an accomplice! In as
much, I have to still believe that she will never tell the entire truth. She
protected Yasser again by basically calling Amina and Sarah liars! She was
definitely protecting her words and this tells me she has much to hide. Why
protect anyone or anything if you are truly trying to catch your childrens
murderer? You don't! But, Tissy has from the start and still seemingly protects
everyone except her daughters! My opinion, of course, but looking at all the
facts and such, her coming forward almost two years after the fact leaves me
asking why?
What is the true motive if Tissy is not going to tell the truths about
this? Why would she deny the sexual abuse and all the other abuses Yasser put
those girls through? I was sorely upset and hurt by the time I watched the
entire interview. It made me realize that I may never see true justice for Amina
and Sarah in my life; however, I put my trust in the fact that one day all who
have these girls blood on thier hands will answer to God.
I am now left with wondering why she chose to admit they were honor
killings and yet, chose not to tell all truths when given the chance? There are
more questions than ever placed within me since she gave this interview. The
only new information I gathered from the entire interview is the fact that when
cornered on valid questions, she never really answers them with truth. How sad
for Sarah and Amina.

"I would give the greatest sunset in the world for one sight of New York's skyline. Particularly when one can't see the details. Just the shapes. The shapes and the thought that made them. The sky over New York and the will of man made visible. What other religion do we need? And then people tell me about pilgrimages to some dank pesthole in a jungle where they go to do homage to a crumbling temple, to a leering stone monster with a pot belly, created by some leprous savage. Is it beauty and genius they want to see? Do they seek a sense of the sublime? Let them come to New York, stand on the shore of the Hudson, look and kneel. When I see the city from my window - no, I don't feel how small I am - but I feel that if a war came to threaten this, I would throw myself into space, over the city, and protect these buildings with my body." Ayn Rand
