Man, I wish he had been president. A real American, a real man with a real set. Bush went so soft his moral center disintegrated. How could he leave the impending nuclear crisis in the hands of .... Obama?
WASHINGTON -- Former Vice President Dick Cheney hinted that, in the waning days of the Bush administration, he had pushed for a military strike to destroy Iran's nuclear-weapons program.
"I was probably a bigger advocate of military action than any of my colleagues," Dick Cheney said, regarding Iran and its nuclear ambitions.
In an interview on Fox News Sunday, Mr. Cheney described himself as being isolated among advisers to then-President George W. Bush, who ultimately decided against direct military action.
"I was probably a bigger advocate of military action than any of my colleagues," Mr. Cheney said in response to questions about whether the Bush administration should have launched a pre-emptive attack prior to handing over the White House to Barack Obama.
"I thought that negotiations could not possibly succeed unless the Iranians really believed we were prepared to use military force," Mr. Cheney said. "And to date, of course, they are still proceeding with their nuclear program and the matter has not yet been resolved."
Mr. Cheney's views were at odds with those of other top officials at the time. Adm. Mike Mullen, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, had said repeatedly during those final months that a strike against Iran would make the Middle East more unstable and would raise the risk on American forces in neighboring Iraq and Afghanistan.
More unstable. So this is stable?
"This is a very unstable part of the world, and I don't need it to be more unstable," Adm. Mullen said in July 2008.
The Cheney interview focused mostly on Attorney General Eric Holder's naming of a special prosecutor to assess whether, during the Bush administration, Central Intelligence Agency interrogators' harsh questioning of terror suspects illegally exceeded the guidance of Justice Department lawyers.
Mr. Cheney said the legal review set a "terrible precedent" that would shatter morale at the CIA and increase the likelihood of future terror attacks. He accused President Obama of using the threat of criminal charges to score political points with the left wing of the Democratic Party.
"It's clearly a political move; there's no other rationale for them to be doing this," the former vice president said of the Obama administration review.
Mr. Cheney was particularly critical of Mr. Obama's statement that he had not influenced the attorney general's decision, and charged the president with waffling on his earlier pledge not to unearth old allegations. "I think he's trying to duck the responsibility for what's going on here, and I think it's wrong," Mr. Cheney said of the president.

Just for the record, Rifqa had no laptop when she converted four years ago.
The deception to cover and advance Islam is staggering over at the dhimmi Sentinel. Decrying Christian extremists and diabolical laptops, everyone and everything is to blame, but Islam and the laws mandating the death penalty for apostasy are never called into question. This is Nazi propaganda.
And this is the case they are going to make to the courts. There is a reason such trash is being printed. The Huffington Post printed a giant lie about apostasy today in regards to Rifqa (look for Spencer's piece later on that).
Let me first digress and dispense with Al-Maryati’s crudely unsophisticated taqiya . Yes, despite Al-Maryati’s denial, apostasy is mentioned in the Koran—Koran 4:89 most prominently—and the punishment is death, as noted for example by two of the most important classical Koranic exegetes, Baydawi and Ibn Kathir, in their commentaries on this verse. Al-Maryati’s crude taqiya fully ignores the fact that punishment by death for apostasy from Islam is firmly rooted in all the most holy Muslim texts—both the Koran, and the hadith—as well as the sacred Islamic Law (the Shari’a). Koran 4:89 states, “They desire that you should disbelieve as they have disbelieved, so that you might be (all) alike; therefore take not from among them friends until they fly (their homes) in Allah’s way; but if they turn back, then seize them and kill them wherever you find them, and take not from among them a friend or a helper.” (Andrew Bostom)
When it comes to the welfare of a minor child, you err on the side of caution. But not according to the shills in the media. This has nothing to do with years of abuse and shariah law; the laptop made her do it. Anyone, anything, but never dare speak ill of Islam
Notice how they address Rifqa's testimony.
If that were true, why would she make up all that stuff? And if he is so doting, why would she run away at all? And if she is such a Christian, she wouldn't lie so. Lying is not part of Christianity. There is no taqiya in Christianity.
What about the business she runs? Why no mention of Custom Bridal Veil?
How would Easton know? Do we take some plant's word over Rifqa? Read the whole bloody mess so you can see what Rifqa and, frankly, the whole of the West is up against.
Add to the list two more allies of the US Obama is throwing to the wolves. Another terrible betrayal .... It is not possible to suspend one's disbelief to actually think Russia will abandon the Iranian nuclear project - of which they are so very much a part.
Winston Churchill speaking after the Battle of Britain: “Never before in the history of mankind has one man visited so much insanity".
According to the Polish daily, Gazeta Wyborcza, sources in the United States have confirmed that the Obama administration has made the decision to abandon our anti-missile shield in Poland and the Czech Republic. Unfortunately this news is not surprising at all. In March of this year it was revealed that President Obama “secretly” offered Moscow a grand bargain whereby it would sacrifice missile defense sites in Poland and the Czech Republic in exchange for Moscow’s help discouraging Iran’s nuclear program. Then in his July summit with Moscow, Obama reinforced his message that missile defense remains a bargaining chip that can exchanged for his college dream of a nuclear free world.
This is a grave mistake for several reasons:
Abandoning our best missile defense option in Europe only encourages Iran to speed up their ballistic missile program so that they can get their threat in place before a European missile defense system is available. We are in a depserate race to beat the clock on Iran’s nuclear program. Why on earth are we stopping now to let the Iranians catch up?
Wilders is demanding that the left stand by their false premise, so this should be enormously interesting to witness. Geert Wilders is demanding condemnation of the 80 year old man who married a 10 year old bride in Saudi Arabia. Simple, no? Not so fast ............
Over at Jihadwatch ....
Right now Wilders is playing offense: "The PVV leader wants Verhagen to summon the Saudi Arabian ambassador to express his repugnance." But expect the cascade of protests and condemnations -- from both Muslims and dhimmis -- to begin soon. Still, however, this puts those who will condemn Wilders in a peculiar position. If they take issue with his characterization of Muhammad, they will either be excusing the Muslim prophet's marriage to a six-year-old and declining to condemn those Muslims who imitate their prophet by taking child brides, or, if they say that Muhammad didn't actually marry a child, they're in the position of denying evidence that is in the sources Muslims consider most reliable. Yet as this incident with the 80-year-old and his 10-year-old bride demonstrates ("my marriage is not against Shariah," said the codger), many Muslims take that evidence quite seriously.
"Wilders Compares Prophet Mohammed to Pig," from NIS News, August 28 (thanks to Ebonystone):
THE HAGUE, 28/08/09 - Party for Freedom (PVV) leader Geert Wilders has seized on a news report from Saudi Arabia for peppery written questions to the cabinet. In these, he compares the Islamic prophet Mohammed to a pig.
Wilders has requested clarification from Foreign Minister Maxime Verhagen on a marriage in Saudi Arabia between an 80 year old man and a 10 year old child. The child had run away from her elderly husband, but was brought back to him by her father, the English-language website Arab News reports based on a Saudi newspaper.
Wilders asks the minister if he shares the view that "this man is behaving like a pig, just like the barbarous Prophet Mohammed, who married the six year old girl Aisha." The PVV leader wants Verhagen to summon the Saudi Arabian ambassador to express his repugnance.
Tonight's feature is "Great Guy". James Cagney stars as the plucky Irish crusader, Johnny Cave, who fights against corruption at the Weights And Measures Department.
James Cagney walked out on Warner Brothers in the mid-1930s partly because he was fed up with being typecast as a tough guy. So it comes as a surprise that his starring role in Great Guy – the first of two movies he made with Grand National, a poverty row studio – seems such a typical role for him.
Typical at first glance, anyway. His character, Johnnie Cave (the hero of stories by James Edward Grant published in the Saturday Evening Post) is an ex-boxer, now fearlessly enforcing the law for New York’s Department of Weights and Measures. However, the very fact that he is working for such an unglamorous department suggests a certain distance between this character and the gangsters, G-Men and dashing pilots Cagney had played in his recent films.
The movie was directed by John G Blystone, a name I don’t think I’d previously come across. Made to a low budget, and with a cast largely made up of unknowns, apart from Cagney and leading lady Mae Clarke, it seems to have an atmosphere of the Great Depression about it. Everyone is reluctant to spend money or get into debt, while Johnnie and his girlfriend Janet, secretary to a dodgy businessman, are saving up to get married and furnish their first home – another unglamorous storyline which I haven’t come across in many films, though it must have been a reality for many young couples at the time.

It sickens freedom lovers: the money and support Obama is throwing at jihadist regimes while cutting off nascent and established democracies. The US is shtooping Hamas more cash, yet again, while cutting off the oxygen to the Jewish people. No surprise from the Muhammadan president, but he is not an absolute ruler. Call and write your Congressmen. Hold them accountable. It is not difficult to understand why an anti-semitic Administration would seek to diminish Israel’s defensive capability.
If Congress does not reverse the ban on exports of the F-22 Raptor, it will become complicit in furthering the Obama Administration’s commitment to deny Israel the option of defending herself from the Iranian nuclear threat.
To date, the Administration has denied the Israel military’s requests to: Purchase in-flight refueling tankers; fly over Iraqi air-space; install its advanced electronics into the F-35; purchase Apache attack helicopters; and now, purchase F-22 stealth fighters.
For US strategic purposes, we have stationed an advanced early radar system in the Negev at a compound accessible only to US personnel. The system can monitor aircraft or missile activity up to 1,500 miles away. This capability could give Israel an extra 60-70 seconds to react should Iran fire a missile. However, the Administration has denied Israel any direct access to the data collected. Israel will only be fed intelligence second hand, on a need-to-know basis by its American operators. Complained one top official, “It’s like a pair of golden handcuffs on Israel.”
It is difficult to understand why the Administration seeks to diminish Israel’s defensive capability, particularly given the reports that the Air Force has sought to sell the ultra-advanced F-22 Raptor abroad to trusted US allies, “as a way of plussing up the numbers and production”. It initially intended to purchase 300-800 F-22’s, which was cut to 442, then 381, and most recently to just over 180. With F-22 production set to terminate around 2010, and increasing concern over the capability gap between other US fighters, and global competitors like the SU-30 family, MIG-35, et. al., some planners are becoming concerned. They believe that maintaining the F-22 production line through exports extends the USA’s decision options, in sync with former Air Force chief of staff, Gen. McPeak’s plea not to compromise “our future air combat capabilities.”
No discussion of our capabilities can ignore the contribution Israel made in developing US supremacy in the air. Retired Air Force intelligence chief, Gen. George F. Keegan, when discussing Israeli assistance in discovery of Soviet capabilities, new weapons, electronics and jamming devices, said, “I could not have procured the intelligence…with five CIAs.” He maintained during the Cold War that "the ability of the U.S. Air Force in particular, and the Army in general, to defend whatever position it has in NATO owes more to the Israeli intelligence input than it does to any single source of intelligence." Surely the fact that Mossad had convinced an Iraqi pilot to fly the Soviet’s premier fighter, the MIG-21 to an Israeli base, contributed to the General’s observation. At the time (1966) the US had no clue as to how it was built, what its weaknesses were, nor which weapons should be developed against it…that is, until the Israelis loaned her MIG-21 to the US Air Force.
It is also striking, given the millions of unemployed Americans, and the White House’s otherwise strong commitment to bailing out suffering industries, that the Administration is seeking to phase-out production of the F-22. Production would help Lockheed-Martin and its major suppliers retain 25,000 jobs in California, Georgia, Mississippi, and Texas, and 95,000 jobs overall in 44 states when subcontractors are included. Thus, should Congress reverse the ban on exports Israel wishes to purchase, it would provide a painless stimulus to the economy, and bolster our “future air combat capabilities” at the same time.
Though the Obama Administration has not courted the vast pro-Israel sentiment of Christians and Jews, Congress is obligated to act on the wishes of the overwhelming millions of Americans, Democrats and Republicans alike, who would not deny Israel the right to defend herself against the threat of extinction.

"Iran calls for regional meeting on Iraq security," from Reuters, August 29 (thanks to all who sent this in):
BAGHDAD, Aug 29 (Reuters) - The Iranian foreign minister on Saturday called for Iraq's neighbours to hold a meeting to discuss Iraqi security after Baghdad accused Syria of harbouring the planners of two massive bomb attacks.
Separately, Turkey's foreign minister is to visit Iraq and Syria on Monday to try to soothe relations between the two.
Since 2003, tensions -- prone to flare-ups since around the time Saddam came to power in 1979 -- have centred on charges from Iraq's U.S.-backed government that Syria, estranged from Washington, has allowed insurgents to stream into Iraq.
Iraqi politicians have also lashed out at Saudi Arabia for inciting Sunni Islamist insurgents, a charge the kingdom denies. And while Baghdad's relations with Tehran are cordial, the U.S. military complains that Iran arms and trains Shi'ite militia.
Meanwhile, Iraq's relations with Kuwait to the south are strained as Baghdad chafes at Kuwait's insistence it continue to pay billions of dollars in reparations for former Iraqi leader Saddam Hussein's 1990 invasion.
Relations with western neighbour Jordan have been on the mend, and ties with Turkey have taken a noticeable turn for the better in the past year.
"We hope to get the cooperation and approval of all neighbouring countries for this meeting," Iranian Foreign Minister Manouchehr Mottaki told reporters through a translator during a visit to Iraq.
There have been several regional meetings on the conflict in Iraq since the U.S.-led ouster of Saddam in 2003, but Iraq's ties with its neighbours are fragile.
Iraqi officials frequently blame neighbouring countries for the violence that continues to rock the country more than six years after the U.S.-led invasion.

A couple of days back I ran a post on the Bank CEO who said that 1,000 banks were going to fail in the next two years. Reader Carl showed the article about the coming bank failures to a friend of his who works in the housing industry, and this is what he wrote back.
"You have no idea. This is only the half of it. There are already tons of foreclosed homes still sitting on the books of these banks, not on the market. How do I know? I have friends at the LA County Assessor's office. To keep it short, it seems that, for the last year or so, there have been about 7 or 8 foreclosures (back to the bank) for every one property that the bank has sold. I don't know about you, but I am pretty sure these houses didn't just go to foreclosure heaven! The banks still own them!"
This was all caused by the bank legislation that the liberals passed under Clinton, forcing banks to take home loans from people who couldn't pay those loans, so that "everyone could have a house". Idiots.
Now it seems the FEDS don't want you to know.
* Fed urges judge not to enforce order pending appeal
* Banks say disclosure could cause loss of confidence
By Jonathan Stempel
NEW YORK, Aug 27 (Reuters) - The U.S. Federal Reserve asked a federal judge not to enforce her order that it reveal the names of the banks that have participated in its emergency lending programs and the sums they received, saying such disclosure would threaten the companies and the economy.
The central bank filed its request on Wednesday, two days after Chief Judge Loretta Preska of the U.S. District Court in Manhattan ruled in favor of Bloomberg News, which had sought information under the federal Freedom of Information Act.
Preska said the Fed failed to show that revealing the names would stigmatize the banks and result in "imminent competitive harm." The Fed asked the judge not to require disclosure while it readies an appeal.
"Immediate release of these documents will cause irreparable harm to these institutions and to the board's ability to effectively manage the current, and any future, financial crisis," the central bank argued.
It added that the public interest favors a delay, citing a potential for "significant harms that could befall not only private companies, but the economy as a whole" if the information were disclosed.
The Clearing House Association LLC, which represents banks, in a separate filing supported the Fed's call for a delay. It said speculation that banks' liquidity is drying up could cause runs on deposits, and trading partners to demand collateral.
"Survival can depend on the ephemeral nature of public confidence," Clearing House general counsel Norman Nelson wrote. "Experience in the banking industry has shown that when customers and market participants hear negative rumors about a bank, negative consequences inevitably flow."
In other words, con the people and lull them into a false sense of confidence while you pull the rug out from under them and rob them blind.
Check out the axis of evil ............. imagine what Saddam would be up to had we not removed that killing and torture machine.
Ron sent this via Reynolds:
They have big plans, my friends, but no worries. Dr. Feelgood Obama is disarming, and that's what's important.
It was a year ago today that Sarah Palin walked onto the national stage and raised us up. Those of us who were fed up with a limp GOP moving center left were thrilled with a principled conservative, a rugged individualist VP pick. It saved a McCain campaign on life support.
McCain had it right when introducing her. He said, "she's exactly what we need, she's exactly what this country needs". Bingo.
There is no artifice with the woman. You couldn't write a more perfect resume. Raising her kids, involved in the PTA, elected mayor of her hometown where she stopped wasteful spending and cut property taxes, elected to the oil and gas commission where she stood up to lobbyists, special interests, the old boy network .... the rest is history.
What a year it has been for her and us. Looking back in hindsight, could the differences between Palin and Barack be more stark? Obama is all artifice. Palin is all real, all that. Obama is all style. Palin is all substance. Obama is anti-American. Palin is all-American. Obama holds the US military in contempt. Palin reveres the military. The military loves Palin. The military is on to Obama. The corrupt activist media loves Obama. The corrupt activist media loathes and libels Palin.
Despite the attacks and lawsuits by freaks in Alaska working for Obama's hatchet men, Palin perseveres. Hampered by the ethics lawsuits and attrition, she moved on to take on the enemy within, here, on the front lines. When Palin made her "farewell" speech last month, I said that her speech was no farewell address at all, but a commencement address. "I will fight even harder for you, for what is right and for the truth," she promised. "And I have never felt I needed a title to do that!" Her speech embodied what a great American sounds like, and what a President ought to sound like. Palin made no apologies. She said nothing like Obama's inane drone of "America's best days are behind us." No tearing down of our nation. Obama ranks on us; Palin raises us up and speaks of national pride.
Palin wasted no time in taking on the big boys yet again, and winning. No slave to the leftist feudal media caste system, Palin circumvents the O-propagandists and disinformationalists. Sarah, alone, with her Facebook page as her unfiltered messenger, calls out the rotting, decaying vultures in DC on their death panels -- and they recoil to their nests and pull the death panels out of Obamacare legislation. Palin, alone, on her unedited Facebook page, declares no healthcare reform without tort reform, and she gets Howard Dean to confess they won't take on the lawyers. You can't make this stuff up.
She's a marvel and wonderful to watch. She is a lioness.
Palin is all content. Obama is all about playing the race card. The Obama mop up will be huge. The Republicans are going to need a "real" genuine article; that's our girl Sarah, plain and tall.
Many of us saw the divergent paths America would take with the 2008 election of a radical or the election of a patriot. America, in the well intentioned interest of putting the first black man in the White House, never looked beyond color to content of character.
America fell for the smooth talking boulevardier, like an impressionable school girl. But once you've had one of those, you run the other way.
I suspect America will be running far and fast from the destroying Democrats into the arms of the pure and the good. When the pendulum swings, its swings hard and fast.
Happy 1st anniversary, Sarah. Looking forward to the next four and especially the eight after that. I love huh!
UPDATE: Planning Palin
Two religious icons, Faith J. H. McDonnell, director of The Institute on Religion and Democracy’s Religious Liberty Program and Church Alliance for a New Sudan, and the author of Girl Soldier: A Story of Hope for Northern Uganda’s Children; and Ruth King, representing Americans for A Safe Israel, have taken up the cause, the fight for Rifqa's safety.
I had hoped that one Muslim would stand for Rifqa -- the moderate Zuhdi Jasser, perhaps? His silence is deafening. Perhaps he is too busy writing about the lessons of Ramadan for the Puff ho.
But here we have a Christian and a Jew representing their respective organizations standing and fighting for Rifqa's religious liberty and her unalienable right to be free.
We stand against Islamists, dhimmis and supremacists.
The indomitable Faith McDonnell :
Gabriel went on to explain that apostasy was punishable by death according to
all four schools of Sunni Islamic jurisprudence, as well as the Koran, the
Hadith – the words of Mohammed himself, and particularly the Shafi’i school of
Islamic jurisprudence which guides Islam in Sri Lanka. “She is in dire danger
not only from her family because she has soiled the honor of the family, but
from the Islamic community in Columbus, Ohio who feel it is their duty to kill
her according to their religion,”
[...]” Blogger Katelyn Beaty frowns that Rifqa’s story is being used by Christian bloggers and media “as proof of Islam’s violent roots and the cost of following Christ.” Following Christ is costly “no matter who’s doing the following,” comments Beaty, equating high school ridicule and social ostracism with say, beheading . She adds that the evidence of Islam’s violent roots “is disputable” in the case of Rifqa.
Just as the secular media did, Beaty throws suspicion on Pastors Blake and Beverly Lorenz of Global Revolution Church. Inadverently, she uses several of the same key talking points that the Council on American Islamic Relations (C.A.I.R.) has put forth in their efforts to discredit Rifqa. She quotes the Bary family attorney who claimed that Bary was not afraid until she met Pastor Lorenz. Beaty adds signficantly that Lorenz “holds Bary tightly throughout the video.” Beaty also notes that the famous scholar of Islam Sgt. Jerry Cupp of the Columbus missing person’s bureau “disputes Bary’s claims, telling The Columbus Dispatch that Mohamed Bary has known about his daughter's conversion for months and appears to be caring.” Guess what, Sgt. Cupp and Ms. Beaty. Appearing to be caring is called taqiya. And Beaty does not mention, that other sources say that the police talked to friends and teachers of Rifqa who informed them that Rifqa was in fear for her life and had been the victim of abuse already. Beaty does cite author and founder of Jihad Watch, Robert Spencer, who calls Rifqa’s situation a “slow-motion honor killing,” but then exclaims that The Christian Post “audaciously lists Bary’s story in its ‘persecution’ news file.” I wonder where she would suggest they list it.
Beaty concludes that believers can rejoice that “this teenager has come to Christ in a cultural context in which it would be difficult to betray her parents' teaching.” Describing conversion to Christ as betrayal of the teachings of Islam is a rather odd way for a fellow Christian to phrase the situation, but not unheard of. A speaker on religious persecution at the General Assembly of the National Council of Churches some years ago spoke similarly when she stated disapprovingly that the only Christians who “experience difficulties” in Iran were those who “have chosen to leave the communities of faith into which they were born.”
Finally, says Beaty, “none of this requires that Christians be quick to use Bary's claims to prove that Muslims — in this case, her parents and mosque leaders — are intent on killing Bary because their beliefs make them inherently violent.” She instructs incongruously that “we should also remember the Christians worldwide who actually risk death by Muslims for following Christ: like those in Pakistan and Nigeria.” But the words of Mohammed, "If anyone changes his religion, kill him" (Hadith – Sahih Al-Bukhari 9.84.57) mean the same thing in Ohio that they do in Asia, and Africa.
Perhaps Beaty and others like her should consider that many of those who have been “quick” to believe Rifqa Bary are not interested in proving a point about Muslims, but in protecting a vulnerable girl, convinced that when it comes to honor killing and apostasy it is better to err on the side of caution than to add another name and face to the list of the dead. The best assessment of most of the American Christian church’s comprehension of life under Islamic law came from Rifqa herself. Trying to explain the danger she faces from her Muslim parents, the Islamic community in the Columbus, Ohio area, and the entire Ummah, she exclaimed despairingly, “I’m fighting for my life, you guys don’t understand. You don’t understand.”
Read the rest of The Revelation of Rifqa here.
The magnificent Ruth King:
Why do we not apply this policy to the treatment of Arab and Moslem children who are routinely used as shields and props on battle fields; routinely brainwashed to hate; offered as martyrs for suicide missions; killed in the name of a barbaric code of “honor” by relatives including siblings and parents?
Rifqa Bary is a seventeen year old girl who faces danger, abuse and possibly death if she is forced to return to her parents. Her crime under American standards of law? None. Her disrespect for American law? None. Anti-social behavior as dictated by the mores of our society? None.
Why then does Rifqa Bary fear her parents so that on Thursday September 3rd, a Florida Circuit Judge will decide whether to send her home to her family or be given a haven and freedom?
What do her parents and her mosque and Islam see as her crime and violation of law and social behavior and honor? Her conversion to Christianity four years ago. While her conversion remained secret her parents thrived economically in Columbus, Ohio where they worshipped in a local mosque where sermons offered the strictest interpretation of the Koran.
When the mosque, which has been under suspicion for abetting terrrism deliberately “outed” Rifqa's conversion to her family she was subjected to bruises and death threats and fled from her home. In Florida, an Evangelical church gave her shelter and guidance in filing for restraint.
Initially, the muted media interest in her story deliberately ignored the Islamic faith driven death punishment for apostasy. They chose instead, to smear and defame the church as a “cult” and accused them of brainwashing Rifqa.
Americans for A Safe Israel joins a distinguished list of individuals and organizations and journalists who have come forward in support of the right of Rifqa Bary to seek shelter and protection to practice her faith and enjoy all basic freedoms guaranteed by our constitution.
Jimmy Cliff, The Harder they Fall (1972) .....yah baby
You know, they never seem to hear even your cry
And the oppressors are trying to track me down
They're trying to drive me underground
And they think that they have got the battle won
I say, forgive them Lord, they know not what they've done
So as sure as the sun will shine
I'm gonna get my share now what is mine
And then the harder they come
The harder they fall
One and all
The harder they come
The harder they fall
One and all
And I keep on fighting for the things I want
Though I know that when you're dead you can't
But I'd rather be a free man in my grave
Than living as a puppet or a slave
Satya wrote me, "After destroying more than 10,000 Hindu Temples with the premise that they are built illegally (build during British time when British allowed the laborers to build temples on the plantation sites -- only Hindu Temples are targeted while Mosques are left alone), Malay Muslims parade with a cow head after prayers threatening with bloodshed over building of a Hindu Temple in a Muslim area.
Make sure to 'Display Images' to see the picture of the parade with a cow head (after the prayers).
Why 'cow head'? Cow is considered sacred for Hindus. What are they praying, one would wonder?"
Muslim Protesters threaten bloodshed over Hindu temple Malaysia Reporter
SHAH ALAM, Aug 28 — A group of Malay-Muslim protesters claiming to be residents of Section 23 have threatened bloodshed unless the state government stopped the construction of a Hindu Temple.
Amid chants of "Allahuakbar," the group also left the severed head of a cow at the entrance of the State Secretariat here as a warning to Selangor Mentri Besar Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim.
The "residents" said that the construction of a Hindu temple in a 90 per cent Malay- Muslim neighbourhood was insensitive because activities there would disrupt their lives.
They claimed that the "noise" from the temple would disturb their own praying, and that they would not be able to function properly as Muslims.
But their daily call to prayer is ......... soothing?
The group of 50 over protestors marched shortly after Friday prayers from the Shah Alam State mosque to the State Secretariat.
“I challenge YB Khalid, YB Rodziah and Xavier Jeyakumar to go on with the temple construction. I guarantee bloodshed and racial tension will happen if this goes on, and the state will be held responsible,” shouted Ibrahim Haji Sabri amid strong chants of “Allahu Akbar!”
Ibrahim identified himself as the Deputy Chairman of the Resident’s Committee against the building of the temple in S23 here, which is perceived by some as being a Muslim majority area.
He told the press that the state should move the temple to Section 22 as ‘originally planned’, and also labelled Khalid a “traitor to the Malay race and Islam”.
It is understood that the protest is an immediate reaction towards the Selangor MB’s visit to the Hindu temple site yesterday, an act seen by the "residents" as disrespectful to the Muslims of the community.
This may appear, at first blush, to be amusing, but it is deadly serious. I watched the left, during the Bush administration, say and spew the vilest things - speech protected under the first amendment. You never heard the right, the GOP, the Bush administration say boo. This is hope? This is change? This is fascism.
Vid hat tip Martin. This took place at Democrat Jim Moran's town hall meeting. No pictures on signs. Got that? You will be charged with trespassing.

UPDATE: More demo-skulduggery. The Dems have got to outlawed - ya know, racketeering charges.
First we have the rent-a-thugs, the 911 announcement of mandatory service for Obama's youth shock troops, the national day of service, and now control of the internet.
I can just see the national emergency to shut down new media - you know, for the common good.
Probably the most controversial language begins in Section 201, which permits the president to "direct the national response to the cyber threat" if necessary for "the national defense and security." The White House is supposed to engage in "periodic mapping" of private networks deemed to be critical, and those companies "shall share" requested information with the federal government. ("Cyber" is defined as anything having to do with the Internet, telecommunications, computers, or computer networks.)
"The language has changed but it doesn't contain any real additional limits," EFF's Tien says. "It simply switches the more direct and obvious language they had originally to the more ambiguous (version)...The designation of what is a critical infrastructure system or network as far as I can tell has no specific process. There's no provision for any administrative process or review. That's where the problems seem to start. And then you have the amorphous powers that go along with it."
Translation: If your company is deemed "critical," a new set of regulations kick in involving who you can hire, what information you must disclose, and when the government would exercise control over your computers or network...
