I must call attention to this pearl in the Orlando Sentinel piece that ran today. Renee the rube basically takes dictation from the Bary spin machine and never thinks to question this gem:
Did I read that right? The man claims that the airline lost a 400,000 bag of jewels? WTF? They would have shut down the airline, pulled every employee in for questioning. It would have been splashed across the papers and the networks. I went looking for such a giant story. Nothing.
The kid whose guitar was messed with by the airlines has what? 5,322,806 million hits on you tube for a stinkin guitar. Almost a half million in jewels and nobody knows about it?
How many stories have we been subjected to about a lost cat -- or the dog that wandered away?
UPDATE: Sonny D writes me:
"Pamela, I'm in the jewelry industry. Every gem company rep I know is insured and bonded - and NEVER, under any circumstances flies on business without his merchandise safely in his possession. This is Epic BS!"
