July 4th 1984: President Ronald Reagan attends the NASCAR race in Daytona Beach, Florida, is honored with the task of saying 'the most famous words in all of sports, "Gentlemen, start your engines !" and then witnesses Richard Petty winning his 200th NASCAR sanctioned event. President Reagan also stays after the race and with the drivers, their families and crews, enjoys a BBQ dinner and then the big fireworks display.

July 4th 2009: President Barack Hussein Obama goes to Russia........ In order to apologize for the existence of President Ronald Reagan.

UPDATE: GD Critter was in Albuquerque - check out his coverage, He wrote me:

Sunday morning, the Albuquerque Journal cited Tea Party organizers as estimating the size of the gathering Saturday at about the same as the one in April -- about 7,000.  The Journal says no police estimate was available.  Since Mayor Marty Chavez has been openly hostile to the Tea Party process, that suggests the police estimate is certainly not significantly lower (and may be higher) than the organizers' estimate.
