NYS Legislators Fire Nearly 200 Workers Over Race Brain Terminal, Evan Maloney (hat tip Clyde)

Fredric U. Dicker—regarded as the pre-eminent political reporter in New York’s state capital—recently published a column decrying the complete breakdown of the state legislature, which has been unable to conduct business for the past month.

Buried way down in Dicker’s piece, starting at the 19th paragraph, we learn:

During the first five months of this year, with the Senate under the control of its first African-American majority leader, [State Senator Malcolm] Smith, top Democrats bemoaned the lack of minority Senate staffers.

But instead of trying to recruit new hires, they fired nearly 200 almost exclusively white workers and replaced them with a large number of minority employees, many of whom were seen by their fellow workers to be unskilled at their new jobs.

The move produced severe racial tensions, made worse by the fact that, as a high-level Democratic staffer confided, “We’ve been told to only hire minorities.'’

So nearly 200 people lose their jobs in New York State because of their race? And not at the hands of some evil corporation, but our own elected officials?

It’s quite telling that, in our political age, mass firings can still happen because of one’s race. It’s even more telling that—the only time I’ve seen this story get any coverage at all—it was in the 19th paragraph of an otherwise unrelated column.

Having taught English for more than 30 years, I am aware that the passive tense is used when one doesn't want to directly say whatever it is that's to be said, as in "We've been told to only hire minorities", instead of "Mr. So-and-So said to only hire minorities". One should find out who this mysterious source is and if he has the authority to demand such a thing, and why don't people just say NO, we aren't going to do that. Don't be sheep.
In the state of Oklahoma, the powers that be decided to have a Ten Commandments Monument placed near the entrance of the state capitol. The Feds in DC, along with the ACLU, said it would be a mistake, but they did it anyway. The Okies recently passed a law to incarcerate all illegal immigrants and ship them back to where they came from unless they wanted to get a green card and become American citizens --- they all sattered. This was against the advice of the Feds and the ACLU, who said it would be a mistake, but they did it anyway. They also just passed a law to include DNA samples from any and all illegals to the Oklahoma database for criminal investigative purposes. Pelosi said it was unconstitutional. They did it anyway. Several weeks ago, they passed a law declaring Oklahoma as a Sovereign State, not under the Federal Government directives. That makes Oklahoma and Texas the only states to do so. But more states are likely to follow: Louisiana, Alabama, Georgia, both Carolinas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Arkansas, West Virginia just to name a few. And should Mississippi act, so will Florida. It appears the south is about to rise up once again. [Hopefully these and other states will get some guts and stand up for their rights]. The Federal Gov't has made bold steps to take away our guns. Oklahoma, a week ago, passed a law confirming people in that state have the right to bear arms and transport them in their vehicles. I'm sure that was a setback for the Kennedys and Ms. Pelosi. But guess what? They did it anyway.
By the way, Obama does not like any of this. Guess what? They did it anyway.

On another note, the Democratic Party has long been infiltrated by the Left starting in the 1940s at the end of the Great Depression. The Soviets spent millions getting "their" people into the media, into education and into government. See Lunev's book, "Through the Eyes of the Enemy," and Ronald Radosh's excellent book, "Commies." It explains how the Fifth Column has slowly subjugated the Democratic Party to its wishes.

Another great invention of the Communists: Liberation Theology, which was soundly condemned by then-Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger in the late 1990s. Liberation Theology was an invention of the Soviets during the Krushchev days, and was successful beyond the Soviets' wildest dreams.
