The Muslim Brotherhood is acting to overthrow democratic governments world wide.

A sign that the Obama administration is willing to publicly challenge Egypt's commitment to parliamentary democracy: various Middle Eastern news sources report that the administration insisted that at least 10 members of the Muslim Brotherhood, the country's chief opposition party, be allowed to attend his speech in Cairo on Thursday. The brotherhood is a Salafist/ Islamist party with branches in many countries, and it does not have a reputation for liberalism and has supported violent campaigns against Israel (and Egypt's own government). It has deep roots in the region and traces its intellectual lineage to Sayyid Qutb, a top American-educated Islamic intellectual who was executed -- or martyred -- by the Egyptian government in 1966. The Brotherhood has direct links with Sunni groups like Hamas in the Palestinian territories. Its standing in Egypt has suffered as of late because of a crackdown by the Egyptian government and a growing frustration that it is too conservative (anti-women's rights, the whole gamut) for a modern Middle East. Still, it's the largest Sunni opposition party in the world, and it's clear that the Obama administration wants to engage the Sunnis -- even the less moderate Sunnis -- in his "Mutual Respect" tour. Hoping to tamp down criticism that by speaking in Egypt, Obama is giving legitimacy to Hosni Mubarak's quasi-dictatorship, the administration also invited leading human rights activists to the speech.

In 1924, in an attempt to remove the political, violent, barbaric aspects of Islam from Islam, the secular Turks abolished the caliphate. The Muslim Brotherhood was born to keep Islam pure and violent. This  Islamic "revival" entered into the movement phase in the middle east by establishing "Al-Ikhwan Al-Moslemoon" (Muslim Brotherhood) in Egypt, 1928.

Robert Spencer describes the MB as an international Islamic organization dedicated to the imposition of Sharia, by violent or peaceful means, throughout the world.

You missed date night the other night when he flew Michelle to New York on Air Force One for dinner and theater on our dime and THEN it's reported that the bigger scandal was not the waste of taxpayer money for the Pres to join the mile high club as a thank you, but that he didn't wear a neck tie to the theater. In many ways this President has been such an embarrassment to our nation. His pandering to Europe and the Muslim world. It may make him popular. But as I watched the video of him being snubbed in Saudi Arabia it is clear that he not respected! In the process of his pandering he has thrown our great ally Israel under the bus. I thought that Israel was the one nation in the middle East that shared our values?

It is clear that Obama is trying to destroy BiBI's colition which had been respectful enough to his administration that it ended a defencive war that it was wining right before Obama ignageration. He is trying to mico-manage Israel and tell tell were the build in their own country. Who elected Obama Prime Minister of Israel? Does Obama think that he simply the President of the United States (a great honor) or perhaps he has a desire to president of the world?

I am very nervous about his speech tomorrow. In 2012 we have a chance to get a new President. G-d willing the GOP will have their act together by then.

This latest Obama nightmare checks out with several news agencies when I googled it. One of them stressed that the US insisted on the meeting. So Obama is throwing his support to the forebears of the Muslim Brotherhood that said they intended to "colonize this miserable country" (US) and to the party that wants to overthrow what little democracy there is in Egypt. How about more sharia for the Copts who are already suffering enormously? Remember, they were there first, before the Arab bullies came in almost 1400 years ago. They are what's left of a minority, the Jews having been driven out a few decades ago by the same fundamentalist philosophy.

Al-Zawahiri, bin Laden's 2nd in command - is a long term member of the MB. That group is related to al-qaeda ut jihad (Base of Jihad) in the same way that the IRA ran an Official and Provisional wing (the Officials let the Provos do all the violence, while they put on a diplomatic face).

I have said this before here: after 9-11, immediate pressure was put on the government of Egypt to release the 19,000 MB members that were held in the country's jails. Official US support for inclusivism of terrorists in sham democratic elections, has nearly destroyed Secularism in the Middle East.

I'll be kind to The Big O for a moment and simply assume that he is naively trying to show that we will be 'nice' to Muslims. He doesn't seem to realize that (a) we are all infidels and being nice to them means little or nothing and (b) Obama himself is worse than an infidel, as he is an apostate.

More likely, though, Obama is simply being his old malevolent self and attempting to sow the seeds of our destruction.

Previous comments all excellent. We, Israel, are under bus and hope to emerge in manner of Kianu Reeves in 'Speed', the movie. That the US effectively invited al Qaeda to Obama's speech via the MB is not a surprise. Let's be fair to Obie and fair to Repub Presidents: the US helped create Al Qaeda with Saudi Arabia and Pakistan. Al Qaeda was a recruitment drive in Pakistan to create Taliban or pre-Taliban in an effort to drive the Russians from Afghanistan. OBL was a Saudi agent; al Qaeda continued to be exported Wahhabi activism. OBL and the Egyptian Wahhabi Zawahiri thus were tools of the Saudi gov't even if they came to hate it.

NOTE: the Saudis have never stopped the Wahhabism, or Salafism. They have never cut the ties. They have never stopped the religious instruction.

The Balkans is a better test case in some ways than Afghanistan of Saudi foreign policy, better evidence of what Wahhabist Arab imperialism is. In some ways too the US and England, Europe: the federal prison system as incubator. The Saudis indirectly control the Islamic instruction in the prisons. In the Balkans, the Saudis helped local Muslims seize power and establish Islamist regimes, or embryonic ones. Many Arab and other fighters appeared in Bosnia, Kosovo, Macedonia etc. to 'defend Islam' - in other words, Saudis, without any assistance from Iranian maniacs, devised a plan - unopposed by US, Britain and NATO - to turn as much of the Christian Balkams Muslim green. Debka file reported several times that two of Zawahiri's brothers were in Kosovo or Macedonia organizing local Muslims for insurrection.

The US and Britain have been using the Muslim Brotherhood/Al Qaeda for years, off and on. CNN lied about the extent of Serb atrocities in Kosovo, by far. The media ignored the systematic ethnic cleansing of Serbians from Kosovo, the Serb 'homeland', since it began. At time of WW1 Kosovo was about 90% Christian and is less than 10% now, I believe.

What is US policy? Is it just about oil and the oil companies need to support their pals from OPEC? 911 was celebrated in Saudi Arabia, Egypt, East Jerusalem, and mourned in West Jerusalem and in every kibbutz, town and city in Israel.

It does not reward one to be America's loyal friend, as the poster above implied. Olmert and Barak faithfully aborted and subverted the Gaza operation to please Obama and his handlers. Ethnic cleansing on a mass scale of Jews from the heart of the homeland is to be our reward, if we let it.

The USA is not, and has never been, Israel's 'friend.'
