Iran is firing missiles as we speak, while Obama "outstretches" his hand (in surrender). Immediate action must be taken. Obama's plan to give Iran until the end of the year is too long.
Iran is exploiting American weakness. The US position is encouraging Iran to be more aggressive. Bottom line? The US strategy has been an abject failure.
The missiles Iran fired earlier today can avoid the detection of radar and can reach Israel, southeastern Europe and U.S. bases in the Middle East.
Iran's state media says the country has successfully test launched a mid-range surface-to-surface missile that can reach Israel, southeastern Europe and U.S. bases in the Middle East.
Iranian government TV showed what it said was the test-firing of the Sejil-2, which it says has a range of 2,000 kilometers.
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmedinejad also commented on the test-firing of the two-stage missile during a campaign speech in the northern town of Semnan.
The crowd of several thousand Ahmedinejad supporters cheered as the president described the launch.
He says that Iran's Defense Minister informed him of the launch, and he claims that the missile is able to go beyond the atmosphere before coming back to hit its target.

The solid-fuel surface-to-surface missile is a new version of the Sejil that Iran said it had successfully tested in November.
The United States condemned the earlier test as a violation of U.N. Security Council resolutions.
Iranian Defense Minister Mohammad Mustafa Najjar indicated to Iranian TV back in November that the Sejil-2 missile had a range of around 2000 kilometers, which puts in striking distance of Israel.
UPDATE: FOX video (very good interview). hat tip Kim

Panetta, the wimpy-appearing CIA head, says there will be 'big trouble' if Israel eliminates the Iranian WMD program. Basically, the Jewish hopes and dreams of thousands of years, and the protection of the only possible safe haven for Jews in the world (including the US) is to be sacrificed to the hemming and hawing of pseudo-liberal Clintonistas who are being jerked this way and that by Russia (Georgia), China, North Korea and Iran.
I think that Israel's survival requirements trump the miserable political needs of what is, basically, an illegal regime in Washington, D.C.

Sanctions, sanctions, sanctions!!! Sanctions don't do a darned thing against tyrannical regimes!!! We've seen how effective sanctions were against Saddam Hussein, against the Taliban, against Idi Amin, against the apartheid government in South Africa, against Serbia under Slobodan Milosevic.... sanctions are like chokin' the chicken... you feel somewhat better, but then you have a mess to clean up. In the end, sanctions accomplish nothing except making innocent people suffer!!!
slice, Panetta isn't just wimpy looking, he IS a wimp!!!!

Pam,
I wouldn't worry to much about this. Israel will make Tehran a glass highway if they so much as fire a peashooter at them. Bibi's in the house now and he is the right man at the right time. Despite all of Obama's strong arming he is much smarter and has more savvy about the region.
I am also a believer in the God of Israel. He says that when His people are back in the land that He will come to defend them so that His name will no longer be profaned among the nations. Ezekiel's prophecies are coming to pass. Don't be too surprised if all that Iranian nuclear firepower is turned on themselves.
Read what the prophet Ezekiel said so long ago. It's quite amazing...

I hear you, Tom Carney. I agree, but didn't say it quite like that. You never know, Leon might pull my passport or something.
