The NY Times killed a story during election season because they knew it would kill Obama's chances to win the election. Could the stakes have been higher? Those who sat on the story ought to be indicted.
It's criminal, because the American people count on media to vet our candidates. More proof that the mainstream committed the greatest act of perfidy in American history and installed a criminal and an enemy in the most powerful office in the world. Wow.
The media ignored the explosive stories Atlas broke on Obama's millions in foreign money, Gaza contributions, millions paid to SEIU and ACORN. Systemic corruption and an in the tank media propaganda machine.
Read it all.
The NY Times can't go out of business fast enough for free people.
Does Obama know anyone who is not a low life tied to wahhabi Saudis? I mean really. Once again, another ethical Obama choice. Should fit in nicely with Rahm.
The nominee, Ray Mabus, is a former governor of Mississippi and a former ambassador to Saudi Arabia, and he served in the Navy during the Vietnam War. Mr. Mabus, a Democrat, was a strong supporter of Mr. Obama in the campaign last year.
In 1998, as Mr. Mabus and his wife, Julie (now Julie Hines), sought to work out their marital problems, he surreptitiously recorded a meeting the couple had with the Rev. Jerry McBride, a mutual friend.
Mr. Mabus had told Mr. McBride in advance that he had been advised by a lawyer to tape the conversation, according to court records. Neither man mentioned the recording to Ms. Hines. During the session, she admitted having an affair and told her husband, “I will hate you till the day I die, and I will tell my children.”
An expert psychiatric witness for Mr. Mabus referred to Ms. Hines’s recorded comments as evidence that he should get legal custody of the couple’s two daughters. The judge in the case awarded legal custody to Mr. Mabus and split physical custody between him and Ms. Hines.
After the ruling, Ms. Hines, who expressed regret for her comments, sued Mr. McBride, his church and the Episcopal Diocese of Mississippi, alleging malpractice and fraud. She did not sue Mr. Mabus, who broke no laws by recording the meeting.
On Feb. 20, 2009, authorities arrested Ahmadullah Sais Niazi. Unindicted co-conspirator CAIR and the professional shills on their payroll are out to destroy those who prosecute America's enemies. Is this to scare off law enforcement? Anyone who fights jihad will be the target of jihad in America (media, litigation, cultural jihad are firmly entrenched and very powerful). Certainly could be a chill on things. Bush kept this in your face jihad to a minimum, but with President Hussein, the gloves are off.
According to an affidavit for a search warrant, Niazi, who was born in Kabul, Afghanistan, failed to reveal that his sister is married to Amin al-Haq, who has allegedly served as a bodyguard for al-Qaida leader Osama bin Laden.
Al-Haq was designated as a specially designated global terrorist by the U.S. Treasury Office of Foreign Asset Control following the Sept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks.
Jihadfree America did a little digging on the smearer and CAIR operative:
Here's what Mona wrote:
Jihadfree America continues:
In fact, Shadia is quite outspoken on various social networking sites, including MySpace and Facebook, where she openly shows her affiliation with CAIR and her anti-Israel beliefs. Objectivity does not seem important to her, based on the quote on her MySpace page, where she states "There are some situations one simply cannot be neutral about, because when you are neutral you are an accomplice. Objectivity doesn't mean treating all sides equally. It means giving each side a hearing," quoting CNN journalist Christiane Amanpour.
On her Facebook profile, she clearly states that CAIR is one of her "causes".
She includes among her friends Hussam Ayloush and his wife Arwa. Ayloush is executive director of the Greater Los Angeles-area chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations. It's clear from some of the postings on Shadia's wall that she and the Ayloushes are personal friends.
Shadia, who was born in Egypt, celebrated her third anniversary of US citizenship earlier this month. Yet she seems to have no hesitation criticizing the US government - claiming that "they suck".
I think Rahm should be fired, not American CEOs. I think dirty, filthy politicians should be fired. Does Hussein hang with anyone who is not dirty and corrupt?
Obama - more like Capone than Lincoln. The Chicago Mob is running the not -so- clean White House.
Rahm Emanuel's profitable stint at mortgage giant Short Freddie Mac stay made him at least $320,000 Chicago Tribune (hat tip Hal)
Before its portfolio of bad loans helped trigger the current housing crisis, mortgage giant Freddie Mac was the focus of a major accounting scandal that led to a management shake-up, huge fines and scalding condemnation of passive directors by a top federal regulator.
One of those allegedly asleep-at-the-switch board members was Chicago's Rahm Emanuel—now chief of staff to President Barack Obama—who made at least $320,000 for a 14-month stint at Freddie Mac that required little effort.
As gatekeeper to Obama, Emanuel now plays a critical role in addressing the nation's mortgage woes and fulfilling the administration's pledge to impose responsibility on the financial world.
Emanuel's Freddie Mac involvement has been a prominent point on his political résumé, and his healthy payday from the firm has been no secret either. What is less known, however, is how little he apparently did for his money and how he benefited from the kind of cozy ties between Washington and Wall Street that have fueled the nation's current economic mess.
Though just 49, Emanuel is a veteran Democratic strategist and fundraiser who served three terms in the U.S. House after helping elect Mayor Richard Daley and former President Bill Clinton. The Freddie Mac money was a small piece of the $16 million he made in a three-year interlude as an investment banker a decade ago.
In business as in politics, Emanuel has cultivated an aggressive, take-charge reputation that made him rich and propelled his rise to the front of the national stage. But buried deep in corporate and government documents on the Freddie Mac scandal is a little-known and very different story involving Emanuel.
He was named to the Freddie Mac board in February 2000 by Clinton, whom Emanuel had served as White House political director and vocal defender during the Whitewater and Monica Lewinsky scandals.
The board met no more than six times a year. Unlike most fellow directors, Emanuel was not assigned to any of the board's working committees, according to company proxy statements. Immediately upon joining the board, Emanuel and other new directors qualified for $380,000 in stock and options plus a $20,000 annual fee, records indicate.
On Emanuel's watch, the board was told by executives of a plan to use accounting tricks to mislead shareholders about outsize profits the government-chartered firm was then reaping from risky investments. The goal was to push earnings onto the books in future years, ensuring that Freddie Mac would appear profitable on paper for years to come and helping maximize annual bonuses for company brass.
The accounting scandal wasn't the only one that brewed during Emanuel's tenure.
During his brief time on the board, the company hatched a plan to enhance its political muscle. That scheme, also reviewed by the board, led to a record $3.8 million fine from the Federal Election Commission for illegally using corporate resources to host fundraisers for politicians. Emanuel was the beneficiary of one of those parties after he left the board and ran in 2002 for a seat in Congress from the North Side of Chicago.
The board was throttled for its acquiescence to the accounting manipulation in a 2003 report by Armando Falcon Jr., head of a federal oversight agency for Freddie Mac. The scandal forced Freddie Mac to restate $5 billion in earnings and pay $585 million in fines and legal settlements. It also foreshadowed even harder times at the firm.
And then there's this:
One of Emanuel’s two biggest deals never would have happened without government pressure. When telecom giant SBC bought fellow telecom company Ameritech, SBC executives intended to hold onto Ameritech’s home-security company SecurityLink.
But Bill Clinton’s Federal Communications Commission insisted that federal law required SBC to sell the security company. Clinton’s old right-hand man, Emanuel, happened to be working on behalf of a venture capital firm called GTCR Golder Rauner that wanted to buy SecurityLink from SBC. The government pressure helped Emanuel get his clients a good deal, as the Tribune tells the story:
“Under a regulatory deadline to divest itself of SecurityLink, SBC financed all but $100 million of GTCR’s $479 million purchase of the firm. Less than six months later, GTCR resold the company for $1 billion, earning a quick $500 million on its investment.”
UPDATE: Tracy sent us this bit of thuggery:
When Lyman reads a Washington Post profile of him which tells how he sent a congressman a rotting fish in the post, he asks his assistant, Donna, if she was the source. In fact, it was Mr Emanuel – who reportedly once sent a pollster he had fallen out with the same gift – as a warning never to cross him again.
It is not the only episode in Mr Emanuel’s history which reads like a scene from a gangster movie.
At a dinner to celebrate Bill Clinton’s first presidential victory – Mr Emanuel was his chief fundraiser – he began to reel off the names of those who had 'crossed' him. He grabbed a steak knife and began plunging it into the table shouting “Dead! Dead! Dead!” after each name.
“When he was done the table looked like a lunar landscape,” a witness relates. “It was like something out of The Godfather. But that’s Rahm for you.”
Mr Emmanuel became infamous for his cutting manner during the Clinton years, even towards the world’s most powerful leaders.
In 1998, when Tony Blair visited the White House at the height of the Monica Lewinsky scandal, the Prime Minister and Mr Clinton scheduled a public appearance. As he was preparing to walk out, Mr Emanuel cautioned Mr Blair : “This is important. Don’t f*** it up.”
Imposing Islam on world leaders. Rich in symbolism, don't you think? (Over at Islam in action)
I have had the distinct displeasure to attend many leftist, Islamic America hating, Jew hating, Bushchimphitler hating protests and demonstrations over the past four years. I have watched, photographed, listened to the most disgusting vile diatribes against America, the troops, the Jews ....all in the name of free speech and freedom of assembly. So imagine my SHOCK at this latest Obama-oppression. Florida Gov’t Cancels Tea Party Fearing ‘Too Many Attendees’
April 15, 2009 Tea Party events across America... go here for tea parties nationwide - look for your town and GO GO GO.
The Obama rules for radicals only apply to the haters, traitors and seditionists. Free men are f****
This is unfathomable. These are real Americans standing up on their own. The leftist Islamic rallies I attended were the Alinsky socialist global network (ANSWER with the same cast of disenfranchised commies and haters). All theater, all the time.
The tea parties are real.
CNN (Continental News Network) Boston, 1773: The city of Boston canceled a proposed protest over tea taxes today, citing the fear that too many people dressed as Indians would be gathered near the wharves. Organizers expressed sadness over the cancellation, but meekly returned to their homes fearful of upsetting the officers of the Crown. Taxmen breathed a sigh of relief as the tar and feathers were put away not to be used this day.
You don’t remember that pre-revolutionary history? I should say you shouldn’t, because it didn’t happen. But flash forward a few hundred years and you’ll find it is happening today in Cape Coral, Florida where city officials canceled a tax day tea party gathering because they “feel too many people could show-up.”
That’s right, folks, the God-given, long-held American right to assemble and protest the actions of our government has been canceled due to too much popularity of the protest.
And what does it come down to? Money. You see, the city officials want an insurance policy taken out so that organizers can cover any loss that might occur as a result of the rally. And those insurance policies cost hundreds of dollars.
The tea party organizers of Cape Coral, though, aren’t the only ones to find this restriction of their free speech and rights to assemble. Tea party organizers all across the country have begun to find out just how difficult, if not impossible, it is to be “allowed” to exercise their God-given right to speak their minds against government excess and criminality. City governments all across the country are charging fees for “permits,” forcing organizers to pay out huge sums for “insurance policies,” and binding tea party organizers in all sorts of government red tape.
In many instances, organizers are being told that they aren’t “allowed” to hold rallies on government property. Imagine that? We, the taxpayers of the city/state/federal government aren’t “allowed” to gather on property that our own taxes paid for.
And then there are the “permits” required to reserve the day, arrange the police protection, and clean up afterward. Often those “permits” can only be applied for at certain times a year, precluding any spontaneous assembly. Also, these “permits” can be denied with no reason stated quashing at birth any plan to exercise the right of assembly.
Here one might wonder how it is that we so often see those lefties appearing on our TV sets engaging in their many organized protests? Don’t the flotsam and jetsam of the far left seem to have large protests all the time? One might be drawn to imagine that the government is involved in some sort of grand conspiracy to allow those with anti-American sentiment, the moonbats of the left, to march with impunity. But, hold the tinfoil hats, won’t you? Because the wackjobs of anti-war ilk and the shrill, circus acts of the Code Pinkos are expected to cut through the same red tape the tea party organizers have been confronted with. The lefties are just better at it.
On April 1, 2009, all Ameicans are asked to send a TEABAG to Washinton , D.C.
You do not have to enclose a note or any other information unless you so desire;
however a suggested note is posted below. Please pass this on to
Here is a note (sent to me by Candyo) that each member should enclose with their teabag.
I am sorry to inform you that I will not be able to pay taxes owed April 15, but all is not lost.
I have paid these taxes: accounts receivable tax, building permit tax, CDL tax, cigarette tax, corporate income tax, dog license tax, federal income tax, unemployment tax, gasoline tax, hunting license tax, fishing license tax, water/fowl tax, stamp tax, inheritance tax, inventory tax, liquor tax, luxury tax, Medicare tax, city, school and county property tax, real estate tax, social security tax, road usage tax, toll road tax, state and city sales tax, recreational vehicle tax, state franchise tax, state unemployment tax, telephone federal excise tax, telephone federal state and local surcharge tax, telephone minimum usage surcharge tax, telephone state and local tax, utility tax, vehicle license registration tax, capital gains tax, lease severance tax, oil and gas assessment tax, property tax, city tax, county tax, sales tax, and many more that I can't recall but I have run out of space and money anyway.
When you do not receive my check April 15, just know that it is an honest mistake. Please treat me the same way you treated Congressmen Charles Rangle, Chris Dodd, Barney Frank and ex-Congressman Tom Dashelle and, of course, your boss Timothy Geithner. No penalties and no interest.

UPDATE: Andrea Shea King says it's back on: Cape Coral Tea party is back on again...
While the NORKS appear terrifed (/sarc tag off) of a strongly worded letter from Obambi and his toothless administration, it appears they will be going forward with their missile launch - will Japan take action? Lord knows, our allies cannot rely on American hegemony anymore, President Hussein is too busy apologizing to the Muslim world.
North Korea has said it will launch a communications satellite over northern Japan between April 4 and 8, and the report said the 15-strong Iranian delegation had been in the country since the beginning of this month.
It includes senior officials with Iranian rocket and satellite producer Shahid Hemmat Industrial Group, the daily said, quoting unnamed sources.
The Iranians brought a letter from their President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to North Korean leader Kim Jong-Il stressing the importance of cooperating on space technology, it added.
The United States and its Asian allies suspect North Korea is using the launch as a cover for a long-range missile test.
North Korea and Iran have both come under international pressure over their nuclear activities and are reported to maintain close ties on missile technology.
Perhaps a case will be made that Smith's depraved husband had no alternative to his wife's bovinity, but I say, not on the taxpayer's dole. She has got to go. She has been pimping the jihad, so this is not surprising.
UK reader added, "That deceitful couple get a combined £160,000 annual salary from the UK taxpayer
(she's getting £120,000 while she rapidly erodes our civil liberties and turns
the UK into a police state, he gets £40,000 to stay at home and watch porn as
But that's not enough for champagne socialists like her- they need the £116,000 in "expenses" from the UK taxpayer on top of it.
No wonder she needs so much police protection when walking the streets in England"
WORLD EXCLUSIVE: JACQUI SMITH PUT ADULT FILMS ON EXPENSES (hat tip Atlas readers)
JACQUI SMITH has claimed Commons expenses, paid by the taxpayer, for the cost of watching adult films at her family home.
FOX news has been running more and more coverage of Muslims in America, perhaps in response to Obama's push to islamicize America. And while this piece on Muslim women in America is a whitewash if you read between the lines, you see the oppression, suppression and slave like mentality.
I have often said in this clash of civilizations - it's a war over women.
DEARBORN, Mich. — The "call to prayer" is a sound heard five times a day in this city, but this is not the Middle East. It’s Dearborn, Michigan — which has the largest Arab-American population in the U.S.
Like other immigrant groups, many came here years ago in search of a better life. In the past few decades, the auto industry needed workers, so Michigan became a top destination.
Over time, thousands of the Muslim faithful from around the world settled here, opening shops and restaurants and turning Dearborn into a heavily Muslim-influenced community, replete with mosques in every section of town and traditional foods from places like Pakistan and Syria.
But while there are plenty of comforts from their home countries, Muslim women say they’re constantly caught balancing their lives between the freedoms they have in Western culture and the restrictions they face from religious and societal pressure. They worry about whether they’re following the habits of "a good Muslim woman."
Zeinab Fakhreddine, a Lebanese-American woman raised in Dearborn, walks down the street wearing a traditional two-piece suit and a Muslim headscarf, called a hijab. The scarf covers her hair and tightly frames her face. She says the hijab was designed as a way to honor women in Islam, by concealing their beauty.
In her community, she says, so many women are dressed this way, nobody looks twice at her. "It's kind of like a comfort zone in Dearborn, but when you leave here, it kind of becomes very different."
Outside Dearborn, it's a different story.
Yeah, outside it's America.
Despite the fact that Islamic groups are growing in major cities in the U.S., many Muslim women living here say assimilating into Western culture is still very difficult.
Many of the immigrant women come to the United States from Muslim countries where they have few rights. Women are not allowed to drive cars or keep their own passports in Saudi Arabia, for example. It is very difficult for a woman to go to school or even leave her home without a male relative escorting her in parts of Pakistan and Afghanistan.
In fact, life for Muslim women in the U.S. is so different that they say they're not sure whether to accept the sudden opportunities they have here, or reject them for fear that it doesn't fit within their religious followings.
"In our religion it's forbidden to listen to music and there’s some areas that we stay away from ... because we don’t listen to music," said Fakhreddine.
Also under Islam, it's acceptable for a man to have up to four wives at a time. While that's illegal in the United States, Islamic leaders say the religion designates the man as the head of the household.
"The big decisions are from the husband. Actually, we have to discuss everything with them," says Umia Mustafa, who moved here from Pakistan 10 years ago, after her parents arranged her marriage to a Pakistani man already living here.
She says in her religion, no matter where it’s practiced, there's no question who is in charge.
And sometimes clashes of cultures can have deadly consequences.
Last month, Buffalo resident Aasiya Hassan, 37, was found decapitated after she had been complaining to police about domestic violence. Her husband, Muzzammil Hassan, was charged with the crime.
While Muslim leaders caution against stereotypes and point out that domestic violence happens in all cultures, some women's rights leaders worry that Islam is being used to justify violence against women.
"The typical Muslim man, they always are very overprotective, they're very controlling over the women. They're not allowed to do this, they're not allowed to do that," says 23-year-old Fai Oman, who was born in Yemen.
She says she feels lucky to be living in the West because she has more freedom and security than she would have in her home country.
Taking on Western viewpoints and a less traditional look makes Oman stand out in the typical female Muslim community. She dresses in jeans and a low-cut sweater. Her dark hair is highlighted with blonde streaks, and her eyes are colored with bright blue shadow.
I worry for this girl.
Some Islamic leaders fear women like Oman will become more common and that Western culture will have too much influence over generations of Muslim women who grow up and live in America.
"It does worry me because it's improper behavior [that] does lead to ... harm to the female," said Yemen native Sakainah Faleh, a teacher who tutors young Muslim girls in the proper ways of Islam.
She's concerned about Muslim women straying too far from the religion, she says.
What is she "concerned" about? It's their only hope.
This will be forever lost on those with no souls. I am blessed to not be among those walking dead.
When the cry from the other side is "Allah is greatest!" and "Death to the Jews!" it is hard to understand the objection to using faith while fighting for our lives in the face of terror.
When recently graduated high school teens are sent to defend their land, when "kids" who a few weeks earlier were playing soccer are sent to stare death in the face, why should anyone be blamed if these children need spiritual guidance?
I recall the deep rent in my soul - it accompanied me for a long time - after I discovered and "took care of" seven high-ranking terrorists deep in enemy territory, men responsible for the deaths of at least 100 Israeli civilians. No psychologist could help me, no parent could provide enough comfort. It didn't help me to hear that these were evil men; it didn't help to know that if I hadn't killed them, they'd have killed me.
I found my salvation in my faith, which taught me that killing - even terrorists - scratches the soul. That in itself showed that I was all right.
Those men who died by my hand killed children, women, husbands, fathers, elderly people, with no remorse. They lost part of their souls long ago - when they pressed the trigger for the first time and didn't feel a thing.
I learned this from my Torah.
I ONCE 'LOST IT,' though. I lost my self-control, and even my commanding officer was so struck by my actions that he was paralyzed for a few minutes. It happened during one of our searches for terrorists.
We knocked on a door to announce that we were going in to search the house for terrorists. A woman answered the door. Then, instead of retreating back into the house as required in Arab culture when a stranger is present, she stood her ground and yelled at us.
At this point, her husband, outraged at her "impure" behavior in front of their children, threw her to the floor, kicked her in the stomach, then started working on her face.
By the second blow to her head, with blood starting to flow, I lost it. I'm sorry, I don't know what international laws, Geneva conventions or UN decrees I pissed on at that moment, but I'd do the same again, and again. Anytime.
Instinctively I jumped forward, caught the man and threw him off his wife. I knew he would beat her, maybe even kill her, once we had left; so I took him outside and made him say he was sorry to his wife in front of the curious neighbors who were looking on. I then told him that I'd be back - if not next week, then the week after, to look in on her, and if anything had happened to her, I'd kill him.
A few weeks later I was back, and the woman thanked me.
That too, I learned from my religious upbringing.
(Some readers may respond that I missed the point: For was I not part of an "occupation army" terrorizing the Palestinian residents?
Dear readers: As long as bombs are exploding in shopping malls and rockets are falling on nursery schools, the IDF will respond.)
The man never did an honest day's work in his life, and is, most likely, unable to keep the books in any business office, run a retail shop or local Wal-mart. Does anyone see the horror in all this?
Would he fire the corrupt, criminal head of ACORN or any union? Methinks he'd rather take the gas pipe. Dodd and Frank should be brought up on charges. Union bribery, extortion should be slashed.
NOTE TO OBAMBI: FIRE AHMADINEJAD NOT AMERICAN CEOS!
I don't care how poor Wagoner's performance has been. This is not capitalism. This is not America. Survival of the fittest. That's how it works in business. Or at least it used to. Consider Wagoner's resume and then consider Obama's (basically his claim to fame is he read Alinky's Rules for Radicals many times). Based on Obama's sketchy resume, he couldn't even get a job at GM .................
The Obama administration asked Rick Wagoner, the chairman and CEO of General Motors, to step down and he agreed, a White House official said.
On Monday, President Obama is to unveil his plans for the auto industry, including a response to a request for additional funds by GM and Chrysler. The plan is based on recommendations from the Presidential Task Force on the Auto Industry, headed by the Treasury Department.
UPDATE: Commenter on another blog (hat tip Judith)
The US is starting down the road to a fascist state. Literally. ****
Labor unions may have begun as organizations designed to help exploited workers gain a level playing field against rapacious employers, but they always degenerate into de facto arms of the government. Every totalitarian movement of the last century began with the assistance of labor unions.
Unions are collectivist organizations who rely upon obedience from their membership for power - they have little to bring to the table if they can’t expect 80% or better compliance from the membership to the union leaders’ directives. It never takes long for union leadership to find itself in harmony with the agents of big government - they’re kindred souls and they can do business. Ironically, the relationship between the ruling government party and the unions is a reasonable business exchange: the unions have vast amounts of money and voting power to sell, and the ruling party buys it by increasing the advantage of the unions over employers through legislation.
American unions have long enjoyed a symbiotic relationship with the Democrat Party, enriching each other at the expense of businesses and taxpayers. It’s no surprise that organized crime is never lurking far from such a corrupt relationship. What’s more ominous is the past history of marriages between Big Labor and Big Government, which have always given birth to violent totalitarian movements. Adolf Hitler got his start in politics by infiltrating a labor movement, the German Workers’ Party, as a secret policeman, but he found their philosophy so appealing that he joined them in earnest. Marxism, of course, is designed to begin as an organized workers’ movement.
Of course it skirts the penumbra of Godwin’s Law to make these comparisons, but the point is not that America is teetering on the edge of literal Nazism or Communism. The point is that America is now, officially, a fascist state, with the government exercising direct control and ownership of major private industries, and openly making plans to take control of more. It is the peculiar madness of fascism that it requires the illusion of private ownership to remain in place - the companies controlled by the state are “run” by “private businessmen” who are utterly subservient to the state. This is a very advantageous situation for powerful labor unions, who exert so much influence in the government that union leadership essentially controls both employers and workers.
Whoever Obama installs as head of GM will serve at the pleasure of Barack Obama, who is in turn obviously eager to do the bidding of labor unions, as they are a major source of funding and votes for his party. The management of GM will, in turn, be forced to continue using an absurd business model that pays ridiculous benefit costs to union labor. Like everything else about statism, it’s a closed, insular, zero-sum system. It cannot end well, and when the needs of state-run industries require more from the taxpayers than they are willing to give - as it did in all of the totalitarian regimes of the early 20th century - the labor movement is likely to be called upon to “persuade” the taxpayers to submit.
Any Atlas readers up to translating into English?
Apparently, the coalition majority leader said in all arrogance that the economical package was not open to any changes/amendments by the opposition. So Wilders said the whole debate was a scam and a farce and theater and that if Wilders wanted to be a Parliamentarian in North Korea he would have accepted. This is not how a democracy is supposed to be. So Wilders walked out with his whole group (which BTW has not happened in 50 years). The public was outraged because of the heavy handed cabinet/coalition measures. So Wilders' party gained strength again.
UPDATE: Atlas reader Theo Van Hilst translates the video. Thanks Theo! Poor Mr. Wilders - what a cast of assclowns - one apprpriately named Mr. Slob - how puuuurfect.
Mrs Halsema (Groenlinks/Green Left) party: Mrs. Speaker of the House, would I be allowed to ask a question of the order to the PVV fraction but also to the other coalition parties, because I see the PVV making its destiny fully depending on the CDA (Christian Democratic Party), who is indeed totally not interested in the opinions of other parties, and indeed has a long history in that kind of behavior. The question is, if this indeed goes for the PVDA fraction ( Party of Labour) and the Christan Union fraction, that they are also fully not open to consider any proposal from the oppostion parties, on this day?
Speaker of the House: Mrs. Halsema......uhh Mrs Hamer, well, it is kinda confusing with all these names starting with an H. I pass over to you.
Mrs. Hamer PVDA: I am in this debate as followed- We together (The government parties CDA, PVDA and CU) have come to an agreement. We are here today to do two things: We are here to defend our agreement. We are here to listen to the opposition, and we will always listen to good proposals and have our opinion on it and we will see if we can do something with it. Before this debate started I was interviewed by Mr. Mingele (a political journalist) and have told him so and also I had a little debate with Mr. Rutte, VVD Chairman ( Party for Freedom and Democracy) about what extras we would be able to do for the young unemployed and therefor I understood Mr. Van Geel indeed different, as he said that he is here mainly to defend the headlines, but not proposals. We are talking here today in the agreement especially if the motion Halsema/Hamer stands (then a few words that are totally without any sense). We however put in our agreement a comment that good proposals will be included in the agreement.
Speaker of the House: Thank you, now Mr.Slob......
Mr. Slob ( CU): Mrs. Speaker, I think also and have said before already that it is important to listen to each other. We indeed together made changes in the coalition agreement. That was a responsibility of the coalition parties and it would have been strange when the opposition would have been part of that, because they are not the owners of the agreement. There are even a few parties that have not underwritten the agreement, even dismissed it. I do think however when there are good proposals that can be approved and carried by the coalition parties, then the room for adjustment should be there, but it has to fit in the agreement as we as a coalition agreed upon, but that speaks for itself as that is how things are to be done. Thank you.
Speaker of the House: Mrs. Halsema.
Femke Halsema (Green Left): I would quick like to ask the PVV one more question, because I think it is extremely dramatic when a Democratic party says that they don't want to be a part anylonger of a political/government debate and I ask Geert Wilders, Mr. Wilders, is he indeed depending his destiny on the behavior of the CDA or will he, after the promises of the PVDA, to be open for input of alternatives of the majorities, or will he indeed look for that with the other parties together?
Speaker of the House: Mr. Wilders.......
Geert Wilders: Mrs. Speaker, we will no longer join this fake and hypocritical debate. When the chairman, the chairman of the biggest coalition party, and that is Mr. Van Geel, says that there is no room for any improvement what so ever, and I predict to you Mrs. Halsema, that at the end of this they no single, really no single motion from you or from whoever, after the sayings of Mr. Van Geel, will be accepted in this congress. You are not taking us serious. The bottom line, the bottom line Mr. Van Geel, I am speaking (as Van geel tries to interupt Geert Wilders), I find that now finally some one has to stand up and speak free and straight out: We don't take this, this is unacceptable, that you, as fraction chairman of the CDA puts the Congress off side. I would say....have much fun, we are getting out of Dodge today.......
Then several people talking over eachother , asking the Speaker of the House, to be able to have their turn to react.
Mrs Halsema (Green Left): I would like to see then that Mr. Wilders indeed will do what he says, and it would be decent of you Mr. Wilders when you would listen to me. I also listened to you.
(In the meanwhile Geert Wilders is walking out of Congress with his fraction).
Imagine, we have to go down with this yutz.
Syrian Reactions to Initial Contacts with Obama Administration: The U.S. has Capitulated to Syria and Iran; The Resistance, Not Obama, has Changed the World
It's to vomit from:
"Syria and Washington agree on three things: on terrorism, on peace, and on weapons of mass destruction. They disagree on three things: on terrorism, on peace, and on weapons of mass destruction...
"[As for] terrorism, Syria's position is that the most significant terrorism in the region is [perpetrated by] the state of Israel, whose barbarism and brutality are beyond anything that human history has ever known. Then there is the terrorism of the groups that engage in takfir [i.e., accuse others of heresy, such as Al-Qaeda]… The foundation of [Syria's] position is a total rejection of the deliberate confusion between resistance and terrorism. The U.S., on the other hand, regards the Palestinian and Lebanese resistance as the source of terrorism, and sees anyone who supports them as responsible for terrorism. This is a fundamental difference in the positions of the two countries. However, there is agreement regarding the designation of the takfir groups – especially Al-Qaeda and its offshoots – as terrorist [organizations]…
"[Regarding the issue of] peace, Syria's position is clear. [It is in favor of a] comprehensive peace based on the [U.N. resolutions]… The U.S. must play an active and meaningful role [in this process], since Israel will not accept peace willingly, [but will agree to it] only if coerced. Washington, on the other hand, thinks that the peace agreement must be bilateral, and that its only role should be that of an impartial mediator… Washington believes that pressure must be exerted on the Arabs, but that exerting pressure on Israel is almost unthinkable…
"[Last, as for] WMDs, Syria is cognizant of Israel's dangerous nuclear arsenal, while the U.S. sees [only] Iran's so-called nuclear program. This is the greatest point of disagreement between the two sides…
"There are three practical scenarios for cooperation [between Syria and the U.S.]:
"1. Placing the bilateral relations and cooperation above the regional issues. There is no doubt that a positive atmosphere in the bilateral relations [between the U.S. and Syria] would lead to greater understanding on the regional issues. The problem is that, so far, Washington [has insisted] on linking the bilateral relations with the regional issues.(23)
"2. Agreeing that Syria should mediate between Iran and the West…
"3. A change in the U.S. position vis-à-vis the Arab-Israeli conflict (a remote possibility)."(24)

Atlas reader Terry Doyle wrote me an email that draws historical parallels between pre-war Nazi Germany and pre-War Obamaerica. I asked him to expand upon it for Atlas .... considering the recent news of Obama's pledge, I think it timely.
Wise commentators say that current events seem like Orwell’s “1984.” But, to me, an amateur student of military history, the pattern feels more like Germany must have felt in the early 1930’s. Alan Bullock writes of how the Great Depression provided the big “opportunity” (to use Rahm Emanuel’s phrase) for Hitler: “millions… saw the apparently solid framework of their existence cracking and crumbling. In such circumstances men are no longer amenable to the arguments of reason… men entertain fantastic fears, extravagant hatreds, and extravagant hopes… the extravagant demagoguery of Hitler began to attract a mass following as it had never done…” Sound familiar?
Not all demagogues are created equal. One man’s scoundrel is another’s savior. And a great number of contenders, from Joan of Arc to Washington to Castro have been labeled their people’s saviors. So what’s a demagogue? In ancient times the Demagogue championed the common man’s causes. But now, the best definition is probably he who lies, makes meaningless promises, and inflames prejudices to gain political power.
that rare conditions, brilliantly manipulated and ineptly opposed, were
necessary for Hitler, a terrible demagogue, to amass dictatorial power in
Germany. Further, I believe that striking parallels in unfortunate current
conditions facilitated the election of Obama and his subsequent continuing
increase in the State’s power at the relative expense of the people’s personal
Strong words of warning are in order here. Liberals are unwilling to even contemplate this comparison (I tried the experiment), and are prone to emotional exaggerations with out-of-context accusations at this point. So, for the record: OBAMA IS NOT HITLER! No rational person would claim they are the same. The two have (had) far different goals, outlooks, ambitions, values, morals and politics.
So, why does now seem like Germany 75 years ago, and why do we care?
This is the wildest. Remember the video I ran of that great patriot telling folks to protect the constitution and take back America? Obama calls this disturbing, perhaps because he is disturbed.
Mich opined, "It will be interesting to see if Basso accepts Doyle's invitation, or whether Obama's intimidation will force Basso into keeping his mouth shut and taking down the videos.
"Obama and his cronies have shown that intimidation of American citizens is a core value. Remember Saul Alinsky's Rule 9: 'The threat is usually more terrifying than the thing itself.' Imagination and ego can dream up many more consequences than any activist."
According to a spokesman for Doyle's show, at the time when Basso was supposed to be calling in for the show, he was unavailable. Basso reached the show several hours later, explaining he had been flooded by media calls and literally was unable to call out.
The result, the spokesman said, was that Basso promised to provide Doyle with the first exclusive interview after he meets with Obama, provided the invitation still stands after the meeting was leaked to the press.
The spokesman said information about the meeting has not been made public, and show producers are waiting to see what develops. A WND message left for Basso was not immediately returned.
The Doyle show reaches about 3 million listeners each week, according to Talkers Magazine, and is the fastest growing show in Talk Radio Network Enterprises' history with more than 240 stations
Bill sent me the article and added:
Obama is calling Mr. Basso to the White House, not to praise and honor him as a true American patriot, but rather to discuss with him the disturbing nature of his videos. How telling is that of Obama as to just what and who he is??.....There is NOTHING DISTURBING about his videos unless you are a socialist/communist who wants a new world order and all people to be slaves to the masters of world domination...Its not disturbing unless you want to trash the U.S. Constitution, take away all of the American peoples rights and obliterate the Bill of Rights.......Its not disturbing if you believe in truth, justice and the American way
Would you ever believe in a million years we would have a man sitting in the Oval Office (fraudulently) that would literally and verbally attack a patriot who puts out a video telling Americans we need to stand up to this corrupt government and "take our country back"?
UPDATE: Obama worried about the 2nd American Revolution - listen to a 10min. audio from the Jerry Doyle show that explains matters further.
That didn’t deter either of them…. they immediately told everyone what was going on, putting a hitch in the giggy of Obama’s plans. Jerry Doyle believes that the warnings were made to give the Obama administration time to turn Dr. Basso into a rerun of Joe The Plumber.
Glen Beck is also covering this story as far as we know. WND did a short article on it. But the Doyle audio explains much more than either of the two. We refined it last night since podcasts of the show are pay-only.
Keep an eye on this story and spread it to your friends. There’s no good reason why Obama is inviting this man to the White House. Basso is calling for a march on Washington soon and he may just be the man to accomplish it!
Who the hell is this guy?
Do you see how frightening this is and the future implications of an Obama army? Obama wants you to pledge loyalty to him and he is sending his Zombies to your front door. Excerpts from the Obama's Organizing for America training video starting March 21, 09
It manifests itself differently in every country in every different conceivable way -- the objective, though, remains the same. Destroy the West from within. In Denmark, the bikers are engaged in a low grade civil war against the Muslims. In Australia, the bikers are the jihad.
THEY call themselves MBM - the Muslim Brotherhood Movement - a gang of 600 men who boast they are the toughest and best young street fighters of Middle Eastern descent in Sydney.
MBM claims to be the biggest of four new gangs to emerge on Sydney streets in the past year. Its numbers rival those of the state's largest bikie gang, the Rebels.
The sudden appearance of MBM, with its growing membership recruited predominantly from the city's south-western suburbs, has alarmed senior police already battling to combat open warfare among outlaw motorbike gangs.
Even hardened private security guards have expressed concern to police about the indiscriminate "punch and run" tactics of MBM members who, in the past two weeks, have arrived in large numbers at city nightclub venues and who walk the streets in intimidating mobs. But the objectives of MBM - its emblem features two crossed pistols and a hand grenade - and its leadership remain unclear to officers of both the Organised Crime and Gang Squad and Middle Eastern Organised Crime Squad.
Police say that a fortnight ago MBM members embarked upon a campaign of random assaults on men who crossed the path of a mob of about 100 toughs stalking Darlinghurst and Kings Cross during the Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras.
A week ago about 30 MBM members intimidated private security guards at government car auctions at Smithfield.
The emergence of MBM also coincides with the rise of two other urban Sydney gangs - the Parra Boyz or Asesinoz MC and Brothers For Life or BFL.
Police say BFL - with a logo featuring crossed machine-guns - is not dissimilar to MBM in its extremist views, but membership numbers are unknown. Police describe Asesinoz, comprising teenagers of Middle Eastern decent, as "tough kids" who use the video-sharing website YouTube to promote Islamic extremism and anti-Australian actions such as flag burning.
The group, which recently changed its name from the Parra Boyz, has more than 40 members, some of whom are known to police for committing acts of violence and vandalism.
Its creation follows that of the Notorious bikie gang, comprising members of Middle Eastern and Pacific Islander extraction, more than a year ago after a split in the membership of the Nomads motorcycle club.
