Dark days, my friends, as the jihad president advances a frightening agenda.
President Hussein is realigning with despots and dictators. His new friend Syria is poised to transfer Iranian mobile anti-air missiles to Lebanese Hizballah (DEBKA)
Israel's government changeover catches its armed forces on a high war alert on two fronts – its southern border with the Gaza Strip and its northern borders with Lebanon and Syria, DEBKA-Net-Weekly reported Feb. 6. Iran is deeply involved in both. The northern borders may be the more flammable, our military sources report, after Israel warned Damascus, through US, Egyptian and Turkish channels, that its delivery of scores of mobile anti-air missile systems to Hizballah in Lebanon would cross a red line.
Their possession would make Hizballah the first terrorist group in the world to be armed with an independent air defense weapon system.
What makes this terrible news all the more ominous is that it seems to have been given the green light by President Hussein. This is Syria. This is the Iranian proxy country that among its "achievements" are assassinations of cabinet ministers and journalists. Lebanon could never get out from under the malevolent meddling of Syria. There was a moment - of possibility - under Bush/Rumsfeld/Bolton, when Syria was held to account and Lebanon danced the Cedar revolution, but the left and the Islamists snuffed that out.
Syria is on the State department's list of state sponsors of terror.
Diplomatic sources said Obama, in consultation with Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, has asked Frederic Hof to become the first U.S. ambassador to Damascus since 2005. The sources said Hof, a member of the National Advisory Committee of the Middle East Policy Council, agreed to take the post, Middle East Newsline reported.
"There will be an announcement very soon," a diplomat said.
This past Monday I reported here that the U.S. Department of Commerce agreed to sell plane parts to
Syria.
President Hussein has been planning this for some time. He sent his advance team out to Syria back in June 2006:
Obama Adviser Leads Delegation to Damascus Eli Lake, NY Sun, June 2006
Zbigniew Brzezinski will travel to Damascus for meetings as part of a trip Syria's official Cham News agency described as an "important sign that the end of official dialogue between Washington and Damascus has not prevented dialogue with important American intellectuals and politicians."
[..]
Mr. Brzezinski's visit to Syria, a country President Bush has accused of arming terrorists and ordering political assassinations in Lebanon, is in many ways in keeping with a theme of the Obama campaign. The Illinois senator in August said during a Democratic debate that he would be willing to meet with foreign adversaries, earning a rebuke from Senator Clinton, a Democrat of New York, who said such an approach would be "naïve."
Next up? President Hussein will sanction a nuclear weaponized Iran.

pamela:
this is the death of israel, the demise of europe, and the end of the american projection of power into the mediterranean sea.
whether to solidify the hold of the left & islam in the med, or intended in some warped fashion as a harbinger of peace, what it signals in fact and historical terms is the beginning of a period of carnage.

pamela, friends:
if israel is to avoid the fate of death, it must attack iran and syria and hezbollah in lebanon now. right now.
to not seize the initiative, is simply to resign to a historical attrition that will result in the destruction of israel and the death of many jews. need it be said, that israel will take a lot of arab muslims to the grave with her.
the only avenue of israeli survival is to eliminate iran and syria as the source of this nonsense, and to stand independent of the united states and her policies, which seem overtly contrived to achieve israeli subjugation and destruction.

p.s. i cannot believe that this post has not inspired any comment at all. these policies are devastating news, absolutely devastating. israel walks alone in the world. and no one has anything to say about it? amazing, simply amazing.
