I thought dissent was the highest form of patriotism. Remember that meme? Remember how the leftards would repeat that bullshit mantra while they held signs that said Bush = Hitler, Bush is a terrorist, or BushChimpHitler (can we say ObamaChimpHitler, or is that racist?) while
spewing every other foul invective they could regurgitate.
Is dissent still the highest form of patriotism, President Hussein? (Am I the only one who chuckles when President is used to refer to BHO?)
I remember when I went to Bush's inauguration back in 2005, the leftist fascists were out in full force with their verbal diarrhea and pornographic signage. There was none of that at the velvet Stalin's coronation this past Tuesday (and there is more than enough scandal to protest this fraud).
We (on the right) spent eight years watching the left undermine, sabotage, and thwart the Republican agenda. Every appointment, every confirmation was a circus - excellent men were smeared and scuttled (uh, can you say Bolton?). And they expect us to sign off on a Treasury secretary who didn't pay his taxes for years? His top defense pick has hit an "ethics bump".
Now President Hussein is directly attacking Rush Limbaugh. This means the Democrat
machine is geared up to destroy Rush's reputation and pull him off
the air.
PRESIDENT TAKES ON RUSH LIMBAUGH IN NEW MEDIA WAR NY Post via Drudge (hat tip Randall)
WASHINGTON -- President Obama warned Republicans on Capitol Hill today that they need to quit listening to radio king Rush Limbaugh if they want to get along with Democrats and the new administration.
"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get
things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House to
discuss his nearly $1 trillion
stimulus package.
One White House official confirmed the comment but said he was simply trying to make a larger point about bipartisan efforts.
"There are big things that unify Republicans and Democrats," the official said. "We shouldn't let partisan politics derail what are very important things that need to get done."
That wasn't Obama's only jab at Republicans today.
While discussing the stimulus package with top lawmakers in the White House's Roosevelt Room, President Obama shot down a critic with a simple message.
"I won," he said, according to aides who were
briefed on the meeting. "I will trump you on that."
Didn't matter when Bush and the Republicans won .....
There's more, read it all. But there is one thing I can tell you. The Republicans better find their balls or there is going to be a revolution in the damn party.
UPDATE: Rush responds to the thug (hat tip Kat)
Limbaugh Responds to Obama [Byron York]
According to an account in the New York Post, President Barack Obama yesterday told Republican leaders, "You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done." With George W. Bush now off the stage, it may be that Obama and some of his fellow Democrats view Limbaugh, and not John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, or any other elected official, as the true leader of the Republican opposition. This morning I asked Rush for his thoughts on all this, and here is his response:
There are two things going on here. One prong of the Great Unifier's plan is to isolate elected Republicans from their voters and supporters by making the argument about me and not about his plan. He is hoping that these Republicans will also publicly denounce me and thus marginalize me. And who knows? Are ideological and philosophical ties enough to keep the GOP loyal to their voters? Meanwhile, the effort to foist all blame for this mess on the private sector continues unabated when most of the blame for this current debacle can be laid at the feet of the Congress and a couple of former presidents. And there is a strategic reason for this.
Secondly, here is a combo quote from the meeting:
"If we don't get this done we (the Democrats) could lose seats and I could lose re-election. But we can't let people like Rush Limbaugh stall this. That's how things don't get done in this town."
To make the argument about me instead of his plan makes sense from his perspective. Obama's plan would buy votes for the Democrat Party, in the same way FDR's New Deal established majority power for 50 years of Democrat rule, and it would also simultaneously seriously damage any hope of future tax cuts. It would allow a majority of American voters to guarantee no taxes for themselves going forward. It would burden the private sector and put the public sector in permanent and firm control of the economy. Put simply, I believe his stimulus is aimed at re-establishing "eternal" power for the Democrat Party rather than stimulating the economy because anyone with a brain knows this is NOT how you stimulate the economy. If I can be made to serve as a distraction, then there is that much less time debating the merits of this TRILLION dollar debacle.
Obama was angry that Merrill Lynch used $1.2 million of TARP money to remodel an executive suite. Excuse me, but didn't Merrill have to hire a decorator and contractor? Didn't they have to buy the new furnishings? What's the difference in that and Merrill loaning that money to a decorator, contractor and goods supplier to remodel Warren Buffet's office? Either way, stimulus in the private sector occurs. Are we really at the point where the bad PR of Merrill getting a redecorated office in the process is reason to smear them? How much money will the Obamas spend redecorating the White House residence? Whose money will be spent? I have no problem with the Obamas redoing the place. It is tradition. 600 private jets flown by rich Democrats flew into the Inauguration. That's fine but the auto execs using theirs is a crime? In both instances, the people on those jets arrived in Washington wanting something from Washington, not just good will.
If I can be made to serve as a distraction, then there is that much less time debating the merits of the trillion dollar debacle.
One more thing, Byron. Your publication and website have documented Obama's ties to the teachings of Saul Alinksy while he was community organizing in Chicago. Here is Rule 13 of Alinksy's Rules for Radicals:"Pick the target, freeze it, personalize it, and polarize it."
UPDATE: Loved this over at Five Feet of Fury - nice work Kathy:

""You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh and get things done," he told top GOP leaders, whom he had invited to the White House . . ."
The media never confronted this guy or held him to any standard of honesty or good behavior. Apparently that has led him to believe he can do whatever he wants and get away with anything. When reality finally hits he'll be dazed and clueless.

"You can't just listen to Rush Limbaugh..." or you'll do what, Mr. President?
Obama's not so subtle subliminal messages over the past few days have been basically to let us know our days of free speech are over. The hell you say! Rush can chew him up and spit him out. Those of us who know Rush are not going to believe anything O-bortion has to say on the subject and the Kool-Aid drinking O-zombies won't believe anything else.

"I won."
Uhhhhh...That's the prob w/abandoning your party's long-time leftism in order to get elected...Once you get in, you really have no argument that your election was any kind of mandate.
That being said, the GOP has devolved to such a gang of gutless wonders, they may well be cowed into agreeing on O's socialist BS.
The course is clear for the GOP: unified opposition to all socialistic PC BS at home, and all defeatist surrenderism abroad. These policies MUST be defined as DEMOCRAT POLICIES.
If the GOP collaborates in these horrendous policies, they will ensure many years of Dem dominance. If they detach, then 1 of 2 things will happen:
1) The Dems will get nervous that they are alone on the Titanic, and will start to oppose Obamunism, themselves--this will put a real BRAKE on it.
2) The Dems will craft pure Dem/Obamunist policies, they will result in disaster, Repubs will clean up in 2010 and 2012.
The choice is clear.
But...WHO WILL BE OUR GINGRICH?!
John Boehner is a visionless loser.

Pamela Geller hits another home run. You state the truth about Obama and his Obamunists. Keep up the great work!
Posted by: Free ThinkerNY | Friday, January 23, 2009 at 11:31 PM
Pamela,
Republicans had better listen to Rush, Hannity, Geller, et al, if they expect to be re-elected. We don't want anything to get done, that's the point, President Fraud! As for the "I won" comment, this just shows the petulant little egoist that is B. Hussein Obama and proves he was indeed the Manchild Candidate, as is parodied on Rush's show...
Best,
Mike

I happen to hate Rush Limbough, I think he is a stupid ultra-right-wing pundit and there is only one person I hate more than Rush and that is some ultra-left-wing who has the unmitigated gall, the barefaced audacity, the chutzpah to tell me whom I should or not listen to.

Rush Limbaugh is anything but stupid and insults only dishonor those who utter them.
That said, the Gray Communist Cheat's election is indeed the triumph of Nazism, and nothing could be more appropriate than comparing him to Hitler.
The Nazism that counts now: anti-white Nazism.
To vote for someone for the color of his skin is political racism, i. e. Nazism.
The DemonRats have always been the Nazis; they just shifted from anti-Black Nazism to anti-white Nazism 45 years ago. That is the real meaning of "Affirmative Action". The "Velvet Stalin" is the Affirmative Action "President".

I won," he said, according to aides who were briefed on the meeting. "I will trump you on that."
Notice the completely selfish ego, the self-absorbed, non-inclusive nature of that statement. Not "We" won, not "The American people" won, not "Those who believe in such-and-such, high-and-mighty value" won but "I" won. The Reagan era was about proud Americans. The Clinton era was about liberals and fiscally conservative Democrats. The Obama era is about one thing...Obama.
The chin in the air, the multiple biographies despite no achievements, the affront he takes when reporters or plumbers have the nerve to ask questions. "I won." I trump."
Two days into his reign and Obama is already acting like a selfish, meglomaniac brat. Bush, Clinton, Bush Sr., Reagan, Carter, Ford, not even Nixon displayed, in the span of entire terms, the childish brattiness this entitlement-minded manchild has demonstrated two days into office.
Any Obama supporters who don't realize by now that they voted an utter sociopath into office are blind idiots.

I'm not buying into the kool-black-man-aid. I'm disgusted and ashamed of my fellow Americans buying into the bull-crap that BHO (emphasis on the BO stank). I'm scard. REALLY freaking scared.
I can't believe how many Jews helped give this idiot f*** a leg-up? WHAT ON EARTH WERE THEY Freaking thinking?
I'm so wigged out.
-And, anyone calling chicken legged man-boobed, sticky outtie eared, monkey face (it's the hair thing) 'handsome' has got to be out of their mind as much as the people who call, "Michelle, jutting jaw, jutting teefs, bulging eyed, angry eye-browed, basketball player man statured" first LADY, "elegant or beautiful" a freaking joke.
Sorry but Michelle is so painfully ugly...it's like the primordial joke.
Obama, not much better. I can't believe the tards calling his ugly visage 'handsome'. He looks like a fucking MONKEY. That's not racist, that's the obvious, check your visuals truth!
OH C'mon!
And before ANYONE cries, "RACISSSSSSSST."
Rush Limbaugh looks like a suckling pig.
Barbara bush was beautiful and classy and RESERVED.
Michelle looks like a total bitch. Her evil, angry, darting eyes give her away.
I don't give a freck about color.
Evil is EVIL.
UGLY IS UGLY.
Get used to it.
Because this has got to be one of the ugliest first families EVER.

Funny you should mention the Dissent quote, Pam. We created a bumper sticker based upon that line with Obama in mind, and put the link for purchasing it on our blog.
www(dot)stblogustine(dot)com. See the left column midway down.
If you ask me, Obama paid a million $'s each to 50 of the most influential media whores in the business and bought their loyalty. With that he still had $450 million left to buy election judges, register dead people, and pay for a few ads in the process. Now we will pay a painful price for his coasting into office. Gross ignorance and irresponsibility used to be in the minority among voters. Now it rules elections. And they swallowed Obama's lies as if they had never been fooled before.

I find it interesting that two of the first appointees to Obama's administration are LOBBYISTS, who they are requesting a "waiver" to hire, since Obama can't seem to find personnel outside the (previously scorned) lobbyist fraternity to fill those posts. One is the #2 man at the Dept. of Defense.
As someone wrote a few days ago, don't forget: "All Obama's promises come with an expiration date."

Rush observes that BHO enjoys the title of President, but without the obligation of having to perform as President. Recall, it’s above my pay grade.
BHO continues to merit this characterization based on his first executive order … what do we have here, Greg? And his late night press room visit … uh, this is just a friendly visit, no questions, no questions, I’m not prepared.
The leftards couldn’t ruffle Bush because there was no merit in their comments and accusations.
By contrast, I think Rush has nailed BHO, and the truth hurts the ego of this sensitive little manchild!

Rush Limbaugh is very smart. At times he may be too clever for his own good, but this is a characteristic of intellectually nimble people. Also, I question the values by which a society produces $38 million salaries for talk show hosts, but the answer to this is not socialism. It is really about personal choices, and overall cultural trends. Which is one reason why I think Israel is a better place to live than America, because having money and winning and all that is still not everything....
To the point - Obama is dangerous. So are the American people. They elected him, after all. Suddenly Israelis look less dumb for putting up with Olmert for three years. Once Bibi is in, with his flaws, Israel will look better yet.
The reality is that a combination of Bush's mixed Presidency, his poor communications skills, the media's hatred of him, changes in demographics and the curious candidacy of John McCain brought this about. The American people showed they are dumb enough to accept 'change' as a stand-in for 'elect because I'm brown and novel'...Obama's appeals to race were overt. The code was so thin a new codebreaker on Day 1 at the job could have deciphered it. He turned Bill Clinton into a 'racist' because Clinton said that Obambi was a Cinderella story, which was true. They - Obama and his advisers, including Axelrod - were waiting for this; planning for it. And knowing the 'values' of black American voters and how quickly they would desert Hillary once the signal went up...the point being the media acted as an accomplice in this overtly and offensively racial appeal.
Yes, you should all be armed and know how to use your weapons, and know the laws as well.

First, his rudeness and contempt for the American Military (he didn't even bother to attend their ball) and now this.
Obama needs to learn that wanting to be President with all the attendant presige and homage is one thing.
Actually doing the job is something else.
I viewed the election with mounting horror and disgust. I've never seen anything like it.
I think I need to send the whitehouse a carefully worded but sharp email.
Obama sees himself as President of the world? Then his behaviour and policies get to be critiqued by the world. Well, that includes me!
If he thinks he can tell me what to do then he is mistaken.

"I WON"
How IMMATURE can he be?
Is he equating his election to the office of the Presidency of the USA to the winning of a game of hoops?....
If he is, it better dawn on him that his playing of this game of the Presidency isn't over and it can end in him being sidelined due to IMPEACHMENT.

Waterboy has apparently mistaken the United States of America for one of those third world hellholes that call themselves "countries"(must be what happens when corrupt US politicans push amnesty legislation for illegal aliens such as himself).
Things have gotten so horrendous in America these days with Waterboy at the helm, I actually find I can't sleep at night.
This pseudo African-American guy is EVIL. (And so is his Klingon of a wife)!
Let's get rid of him!
Too bad impeachments can't be grown on trees. Waterboy would have been gone by now.

Crusty, that was a spot-on analysis, as the Brits say...
In eight years in office, I don't believe Ronald Reagan EVER said began any statement of accomplishment or objective with "I." It was ALWAYS "WE're trying to do..." or "WE have succeeded in..."
So juvenile...Obama is clever. Clever is not wise. Obama is not wise.
