I have been deliberately silent on updating you on the Aqsa Parvez headstone for a reason. Meadowvale cemetery advised me that the family (yes, the family that murdered her) had to "sign off" on the headstone.
As I expected I heard that there have been typical delays - the family wouldn't provide an email to send the artwork ("it wasn't working") so the cemetery had to snail mail it. And so we waited for the "family" to receive it. Now the cemetery has advised us -
"The family want changes and is planning on coming in to see me. They did not book an appointment yet but I hope to see them soon"
What changes? I do not know. Robert Spencer and I will continue to pursue this vigorously but I may need a plan B. We have raised the funds, thanks to you, righteous readers. G-d bless you infidels.
I do not have a good feeling about this - nothing I say or don't say in this post now is going to change what is coming down the pike. It is obvious what is happening.
Canada lawyers, can I sue if I have to? Shouldn't the murdering family be disqualified from standing in the way of giving this long suffering honor killing victim a proper burial? Can I sue to install the headstone, over perhaps, the objection of a family that all engaged in her murder? Aqsa couldn't catch a break in lfe, must she continue to struggle against the misogyny of Islam in death too?
Any Canadian legal help would be enormously appreciated.
