CAIR: OBAMA'S SILENCE LETS HIM ASSESS CONFLICT, REACTION - TOP

President-elect Barack Obama's silence during the early days of Israel's bombardment of the Gaza Strip speaks volumes about the complexity of the Middle East crisis that he will soon inherit and may preserve some of his options for when he is able to act on his own - outside the shadows of President Bush.

Obama cannot come out and stand with the Jews. Wow.

U.S. Jewish groups beckoned Monday for a sign of support for Israel from the incoming president while a prominent Muslim group sought a condemnation for a military response that it viewed as excessive. Yet Mr. Obama remained silent as he vacationed in Hawaii, leaving the U.S. response thus far as the Bush administration's unequivocal support for the Jewish state. . .

On the other side of the debate, Muslim groups in the U.S. criticized Mr. Obama for not condemning Israeli actions, saying the president-elect campaigned on promises to change Bush policy in the region.

"It's more of a concern to us that he hasn't come out to condemn the Israeli massacre in Gaza," said Ibrahim Hooper, spokesman for the Council on American-Islamic Relations. "We are hoping for a change in our one-sided policy in the region, and we are looking to President-elect Obama to maintain his commitment to change the Bush administration policy."

CAIR-LA: SOCAL MUSLIMS PROTEST ISRAEL'S EFFORTS AGAINST HAMAS - TOP

Islamic leaders in Los Angeles lashed out at Israel on Tuesday for what they called a "barbaric attack" on the Hamas-controlled Gaza Strip, and announced a $3 million fundraising effort to provide humanitarian aid to Palestinian victims.

About 100 people gathered outside the Federal Building in Westwood late in the day as persons opposed to the military action made their voices heard in afternoon traffic. Another protest was underway outside the Israeli Consulate on Wilshire Boulevard east of Beverly Hills, where Los Angeles police kept two groups of chanting protestors and supporters separate.

"The amount of suffering is totally unacceptable under any pretext," said Maher Hathout, senior adviser to the Muslim Public Affairs Council, at a morning news conference.

But a spokesman for the Israeli government in Los Angeles said the nation is only defending itself after Hamas unilaterally ended the cease fire, a shaky agreement that Palestinians said was supposed to end a crippling blockade.

"Israel's disproportionate response is cruel and unacceptable to any human being by any standards," Hathout said. "This is not the way to change government."

Muslim-American community leaders announced their support for a multimillion-dollar national fundraising campaign by Islamic Relief USA to provide humanitarian aid to Palestinian victims.

As part of the effort, Friday prayer meetings at more than 70 mosques throughout Southern California will be dedicated to victims of the attacks. There are an estimated 650,000 Muslims living in Southern California.

"This is an illegal bombardment by Israel. It is barbaric and it's even more barbaric that it's being done by the Bush Administration," said Hussam Ayloush of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

"There's no doubt that Israel's propaganda machine is working by blaming the victims," he said. "Gaza's people are prisoners in their own land. We depend on the help of the American people." (MORE)

CAIR-TX: RALLY IN DOWNTOWN DALLAS PROTESTS ISRAELI ATTACKS ON GAZA - TOP

Hundreds of protesters chanting "Free Palestine" gathered in downtown Dallas on Tuesday to demand an end to what they called terrorism against Gaza.

A spokesman for a local Jewish organization denounced the protesters' claims of terrorism and defended Israel's recent strikes as a defensive measure against Hamas, which the U.S. has designated a terrorist organization.

In a peaceful demonstration at Dealey Plaza, men, women and young children held signs with a variety of slogans including "Stop the Holocaust in Gaza" and "Israel is the Real Terrorist."

In response to rocket attacks on southern Israel, the government began air assaults Saturday on Hamas-ruled Gaza. Four Israelis have died, and more than 370 Palestinians have been killed.

In a speech to the crowd, Mustafaa Carroll, executive director of the Dallas-Fort Worth chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, called for an end to the "bombardment" of Gaza. He said residents have been denied food, water and other necessities.

"Palestine must be given some hope of freedom from Israeli occupation," he said.

The Rev. Charles Stovall, senior pastor of Munger Place United Methodist Church, also appealed for Israel to stop the strikes.

"This is not a Muslim issue. This is not a Jewish issue," he said. "This is an issue of humanitarian rights."

The crowd cheered at his words and chanted: "Occupation is a crime." (MORE)

The latest Israeli-Palestinian fighting in the Gaza Strip has prompted Texas members of the Council on American-Islamic Relations to hold a rally and news conference this afternoon at Dealey Plaza in Dallas.

The "Emergency Rally to Save Gaza" was planned from noon to 3 p.m. on the grassy knoll across from the former Texas School Book Depository building. A news conference was scheduled for 2 p.m.

In a news release, the Texas members of CAIR demand that the Bush administration "take immediate steps" to stop Israel from hitting targets in the Gaza Strip.

CAIR-MN: MUSLIMS URGE SEN. KLOBUCHAR TO CONDEMN ISRAELI ASSAULT - TOP

U.S. Sen. Amy Klobuchar, meeting with more than 40 critics of the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip, said Tuesday that she would push for humanitarian aid to the people of Gaza and favored a cease-fire, but she refused to condemn the Israeli offensive.

The meeting, which was polite but tense, culminated a day of demonstrations by protest groups that picketed the building on Washington Avenue South in Minneapolis where Klobuchar has her office. Earlier in the day, about 70 people held a rally in the building's lobby.

A small protest was held outside Sen. Norm Coleman's Twin Cities office, said Mary Beaudoin, director of Women Against Military Madness, who was there. And two or three protesters went to U.S. Rep. Betty McCollum's office and met with her district manager, McCollum spokeswoman Cleve Mesidor said. . .

During the afternoon rally, Humaira Afzal, communications director of the Minnesota chapter of the Council on American Islamic Relations, appealed to Minnesota's congressional delegation to mount pressure to end the conflict, saying the bombing of Gaza will fuel hatred of America and American interests "and will be used by extremists to recruit more individuals and justify their attacks."

CAIR-KY: LEXINGTON VIGIL PROTESTS ISRAELI AIRSTRIKES AGAINST GAZA - TOP

A group of nearly 100 protesters gathered in Triangle Park Tuesday night for a candlelight vigil in opposition to Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip.

The purpose of the event was "to show the support for the victims who are being killed," said Jamil Farooqui, president of the Islamic Society of Central Kentucky. "They are innocent."

More than 370 Palestinians have been killed and more than 1,400 injured in four days of Israeli airstrikes against Gaza.

A six-month cease-fire between Israel and Hamas, a militant group that seized control of Gaza in 2007, broke down earlier this month. Hamas says Israel has breached agreements by imposing a painful economic blockade on Gaza and staging military strikes.

But Israel says it has grown weary of the more than 10,000 rockets and mortar shells that have been fired into the country from Gaza since 2001.

Farooqui said the protesters hoped to urge the U.S. government to help bring an end to the fighting.

"Both parties need to come on one page," he said. "We need to go back to the cease-fire and start the peace process again."

The Islamic Society of Central Kentucky co-sponsored the event along with the Council on American-Islamic Relations and the University of Kentucky Muslim Student Association.

"It's not something that we can turn off and just forget," said Fatima Shalash, a member of the board of the Council on American-Islamic Relations and a lead organizer of the vigil. "They're fighting for their lives." (MORE)

CAIR-ST. LOUIS: AREA STUDENTS CONTINUE ISRAEL TRIP DESPITE WAR - TOP

In Ballwin Tuesday, Muslims gathered at the Daar-ul-Islam mosque where leaders denounced both Hamas and Israel for the violence, especially the civilian deaths.

"This is a great tragedy we are facing," said the mosque's imam, Mufti Minhajuddin Ahmed. "We cannot face our own consciences today, or God tomorrow, if we allow violence like this to occur without speaking up and doing all we can to bring an end to violence from both sides."

Ghazala Hayat, a professor of neurology at St. Louis University, said the members of the mosque were united in their criticism of both Israel and Hamas. "The violence against the innocent people of Israel and the violence being done against the innocent people of Gaza is doing damage for any possibility for lasting peace," she said. "The kinds of images we're seeing ... gives fuel to the extremists on both sides."

Khaled Hamid, a member of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, criticized what he said was Israel's over-reaction.

CAIR-PA: PHILA. MARCHERS PROTEST ISRAELI ATTACKS - TOP

Chanting "Long Live Palestine" and bearing signs calling for an end to the bombing, hundreds of pro-Palestinian demonstrators marched on City Hall yesterday to protest recent Israeli attacks on Gaza.

The predominantly Arab-American crowd carried Palestinian and American flags, and many wore traditional kaffiyehs around their necks or on their heads.

After gathering at the Israeli consulate at 19th Street and John F. Kennedy Boulevard at 4 p.m, they marched down the boulevard, snarling rush-hour traffic as they circled City Hall and echoed the chants of a man with a bullhorn.

On the plaza on the north side of City Hall, several speakers denounced the Israeli air strikes, which have killed more than 370 Palestinians since they began Saturday.

"I'm here to give moral support and to promote awareness in the city of this humanitarian crisis," said Marwa El-Turky, 25, of Queen Village, who works for the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

Yesterday's demonstration followed a smaller demonstration Monday. The call went out largely through e-mail and text messages, organizers said, and many of the demonstrators appeared to be in their 20s and 30s.

Among the groups represented, besides the Asian Federation, were the Palestinian American National Conference, the American-Arab Anti-Discrimination Committee, and the Muslim American Society, organizers said.

Many demonstrators were of Palestinian, Jordanian, Egyptian, Libyan and Syrian descent. But the crowd also included Christians and sympathetic Jews, including Matt Ginsberg, 26, a Spanish medical interpreter from Chicago who was visiting friends in Germantown. He was carrying a sign that said "Zionism = Imperialism = Endless War = Genocide."

CAIR-CA: HUNDREDS IN DOWNTOWN SAN DIEGO PROTEST ISRAELI ASSAULT - TOP

SAN DIEGO Hundreds of people gathered in downtown San Diego today to call for an end to Israel's repeated airstrikes on Gaza and mounting casualties in the region.

By 5 p.m., more than 300 people had assembled at Broadway and Front Street, shouting chants, waving Palestinian flags and holding handwritten signs. One banner read: "Stop the Massacre in Gaza."

The rally, one of many around the country yesterday, was arranged by several local religious, human-rights and other activist groups, organizers said. The purpose of the event, they said, was to "protest Israel's aggression against the people of Gaza" and to educate the public about the conflict.

The Israeli military began bombing Hamas-ruled Gaza on Saturday. The government has said the goal is to stop rocket attacks on southern Israel.

Edgar Hopida, a spokesman for the San Diego Chapter of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, said the attacks are "a human problem, not a Palestinian problem." (MORE)

As Israel kept up its string of attacks on Gaza for a fourth day that has killed hundreds and injured hundreds more through air attacks, US President George W. Bush leaned on Palestinian leaders to urge Hamas to stop firing rockets into Israel.

Israel has said it will not cease its assault until Hamas stops firing missiles into its territory.

White House spokesman Gordon Johndroe said yesterday in Crawford, Texas that Bush telephoned Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas and Prime Minister Salam Fayyad to discuss a "sustainable cease-fire" in the Gaza Strip.

"They agreed that for any cease-fire to be effective, it must be respected, particularly by Hamas," he told reporters.

The Muslims have turned Gaza into a terror state - the Jews wouldn't be caught dead in Gaza now. The Muslims have to learn to wipe themselves and do something other than kill and destroy.

CAIR: MUSLIM COALITION REQUESTS MORE INCLUSION IN NEW ADMINISTRATION - TOP

WASHINGTON (CNN) The American Muslim Taskforce for Civil Rights and Elections called on President-elect Barack Obama for greater Muslim outreach during his administration as well as assisting in ending the deteriorating situation in Gaza and the Middle East.

"We demand that our government, the U.S. government, take immediate steps to end the immoral and illegal Israeli bombardment of Gaza and its population," said Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations.

The AMT also said the United States must look at any violations of international and domestic law that occurred as a result of the ongoing Israeli military operations in Gaza.

In a news conference Monday, the coalition of prominent national Muslim groups underlined its policy recommendations for the new administration.

"We are approaching our incoming administration on four key issues: inclusion and access, policy development, personnel appointment and partnership for peace," said Agha Saeed, chairman of the American Muslim Task Force on Civil Rights and Elections.

Citing a survey commissioned by the task force, the organization said this year's election saw the biggest turnout of American Muslims ever reported that 89 percent of those who voted cast a ballot for Obama.

Speaking at the press conference, Senator Larry Shaw (D-N.C.) called the Muslim community an untapped resource that the Obama administration should not forget about. (MORE)

As Israel launched a fresh wave of airstrikes into the Palestinian territory of Gaza Monday, pressure mounted on President-elect Barack Obama to announce his policy on the conflict.

American Islamic leaders issued a call for the president-elect to take a stronger stance in the conflict, asking him to reverse the "blank-check" policy they say the Bush Administration has given Israel. However, Jewish Democratic leaders say they don't expect a Obama to make radical changes in U.S. policy towards Israel.

Meanwhile, Obama, who will take office on January 20th, has delayed taking a stance on the issue as long as President George Bush remains in the White House.

Nihad Awad, executive director of the Council on American-Islamic Relations, told RTTNews in an interview that he hopes the Obama administration will end the "blank check" of understanding the Bush Administration has issued to Israel.

"George Bush decided to give Israel the go-ahead to destroy Palestinians and Gaza," Awad said, speaking after a press conference in Washington. "That is also destroying the ability of America to engage in the peace process that would be based on equality and even-handedness."

He added, "It will make it difficult for Barack Obama to appeal to the Muslim world."

Awad said that he hoped Obama would "have the courage" to bring his mantra of change to discussions of U.S. policy in the Middle East and embark on a new path that treats all parties to the peace as equals and to use U.S. leverage with Israel to push a more moderate approach.

"The problem is in the policies," he said. "If we change the policies then envoys and special envoys - these people are willing to engage both sides and bring to the table both sides with their arguments and see what on earth they should be doing."

He added, "Today, America has sided with Israel blindly at the expense of American interests. It is time to protect America's interests and American values by being true to our friends and say, 'We are not going to get a blank check.'" (MORE)

Beginning Jan. 9, those detained for suspected immigration violations will have to submit DNA samples for an FBI-maintained database, as do violent criminals. The new Department of Justice rule is another step toward marginalizing noncitizens in the name of security.

Under the rule, federal employees are required to take cheek swabs or blood samples from individuals being held in federal detention centers for overstaying a visa or losing the job that had allowed them legal access to the United States, or for having illegally crossed the border.

Lowering the legal threshold to collect personal data from those detained on suspicion of, rather than conviction of, immigration violations is a dangerous precedent that denies noncitizens one of our most treasured American rights - the right to privacy. . .

Take the case of Julia Shearson, an American citizen who was handcuffed and detained while returning from a weekend vacation at the Canadian border in January 2006 when her name triggered an "armed and dangerous" alert on the Border Patrol console. She sued to find out why. After tens of thousands of dollars in legal fees, she still doesn't know how or why her name was in the database, but believes it has to do with her job as the executive director of the Cleveland-area Council on American-Islamic Relations. Malmø, Sweden. The police now publicly admit what many Scandinavians have known for a long time: They no longer control the situation in the nations's third largest city. It is effectively ruled by violent gangs of Muslim immigrants. Some of the Muslims have lived in the area of Rosengård, Malmø, for twenty years, and still don't know how to read or write Swedish. Ambulance personnel are attacked by stones or weapons, and refuse to help anybody in the area without police escort. The immigrants also spit at them when they come to help. Recently, an Albanian youth was stabbed by an Arab, and was left bleeding to death on the ground while the ambulance waited for the police to arrive. The police themselves hesitate to enter parts of their own city unless they have several patrols, and need to have guards to watch their cars, otherwise they will be vandalized. "Something drastic has to be done, or much more blood will be spilled" says one of the locals.

The number of people emigrating from the city of Malmø is reaching record levels. Swedes, who a couple of decades ago decided to open the doors to Muslim "refugees" and asylum seekers, are now turned into refugees in their own country and forced to flee their homes. The people abandoning the city mention crime and fear of the safety of their children as the main reason for leaving.

ALL of the 600 windows at one of the schools in Malmø have been broken during the summer holiday. Window smashing alone costs the city millions every year. City buses have been forced to avoid the immigrant ghetto, as they are met with youths throwing rocks or bottles at them if they enter. Sweden's politicians view arranged marriages as a positive tradition: a cultural pattern that immigrants should be allowed to preserve even in Sweden. The Swedish government feels that interfering in arranged marriages is an encroachment upon private life. In addition, immigrant couples can apply for family reunification in Sweden even if they've never seen each other before - as long as the marriage is entered in a culture with a tradition of parents arranging marriages on behalf of their children. (IsraelNN.com) Iran’s director-general of domestic media at the Ministry of Culture and Islamic Guidance announced Wednesday that the Karjozaran newspaper was shut down for portraying the State of Israel positively.

Director-general Mohammad Parvizi said the paper was banned under Articles 6 and 12 of Iran’s Press Law and that the case has been sent to the court.

He added, "The paper was banned for publication of an article justifying anti-human crimes of the Zionist regime and referring to Palestinian resistance as terrorism and claiming that Palestinian combatants take position in kindergartens and hospitals and so cause the deaths of children and civilians."

On Tuesday the newspaper had published a statement by a reformist student organization criticizing Hamas for causing civilian deaths by hiding in nurseries and hospitals.

On Monday, Iran’s News Agency, IRNA, reported that the Association of Journalists of Iran “expressed outrage at Israeli war crimes in Gaza, saying that Israeli leaders have perpetrated crimes against humanity for the fourth day running.”

Jewish groups in Iran led by Jewish parliamentarian Siamak Mara-Sedq gathered Tuesday at the United Nations office in Tehran to protest "Israeli war crimes and the slaughter of the innocent people in the Gaza Strip," according to IRNA. There are some 25,000 Jews left in Iran.

"We are here to express our support and sympathy with the Palestinian nation," said the chairman of the Iranian Dhimmi Jewish community, Rahmatollah Rafi, who criticized "certain Arab governments for their inaction and silence towards Israeli inhuman acts and war crimes in Gaza and the entire Palestinian territories."

The demonstrators carried signs, written in Farsi and Hebrew, bearing anti-Israel slogans.

DEARBORN – Several thousand demonstrators marched, chanted and waved flags, signs and banners along Warren Avenue in Dearborn on Tuesday, protesting Israeli airstrikes in Gaza that have killed more than 370 people since Saturday, including at least 64 civilians, according to U.N. figures.

Protestors stretched from Chase Road to Schaefer Road on the north side of Warren, chanting "One, two, three, four, stop the killing, stop the war," "Free, free Palestine," and "Bush and Olmert, you can’t hide, you are guilty of genocide!"

While the crowd included primarily Arab Americans from Dearborn and Hamtramck, Jewish peace groups from Ann Arbor and diverse activists’ groups from Detroit and other cities also participated.

Those are not Jewish groups. They are leftard groups allowing the Jew to be exploited. Where those same "jewish groups" protesting the thousands of missiles into Gaza? Ot the sexual mutilation and murder of the Rabbi and his pregnant wife?

This march is Muslims and dhimmis. Period. It's all about Islamic jew hatred.

The Bloomfield Hills-based Jewish Community Relations Council has expressed support for the Israeli strikes on Gaza, calling the campaign "a measure of self-defense," in response to rocket attacks into Southern Israel

"That’s exactly what we need. This isn’t just an Arab issue. It’s a human rights issue," said Suhaib Al-Hanooti, a student activist who helped organize the gathering.

How about a Jewish right to live issue? Or is that not human rights related?

Jihad sympathizers expressed suprise that the media turned out.  "Hopefully it will have an effect –and it helps people get their frustrations out."

Of course there is media.  One angry muslim can bring out all the news nets. But if you are a Jew or a scholar like Robert Spencer, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Walid Phares, Ibn Warraq, Andrew Bostom - NO MEDIA FOR YOU! Media is so afraid of Islamic violence they censor themselves.

Once again, this is already suggested in the opening statement before the preamble which includes the following quote by Hasan al-Banna, founder of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood: “Israel will exist, and will continue to exist, until Islam abolishes it, as it abolished that which was before it.” Hamas, it should be noted, claims to be a wing of the International Muslim Brotherhood. >Article 2 of the Hamas Charter, for example, states: “The Islamic Resistance Movement is one of the wings of Muslim Brotherhood in Palestine. The Muslim Brotherhood Movement is a universal organisation which constitutes the largest Islamic movement in modern times.”

 

But the body of the >Hamas Covenant includes unequivocal statements of Hamas’ irredentist commitment to the annihilation of Israel via jihad. Jihad martyrdom is lauded in article 8 “the Hamas slogan,” (in fact borrowed from the 1928 Charter of the Egyptian Muslim Brotherhood), which states, “Allah is its target, the Prophet is its model, the Koran its Constitution; Jihad is its path, and death for the sake of Allah is the loftiest of its wishes.” Article 13 makes plain that Hamas’ jihadism is completely incompatible with any meaningful Middle East peace settlement:

 

Initiatives, and so-called peaceful solutions and international conferences, are in contradiction to the principles of the Islamic Resistance Movement. Abusing any part of Palestine is abuse against part of religion. Nationalism of the Islamic Resistance Movement is part of its religion. Its members have been fed on that…There is no solution to the Palestinian question except by Jihad. All initiatives, proposals, and International Conferences are a waste of time and vain endeavors.

And article 15 (subtitled, “Jihad for the Liberation of Palestine is a Personal Duty”) elucidates classical jihadist theory, as well as its practical modern application to the destruction of Israel by jihad:

 

The day the enemies conquer some part of the Muslim land, jihad becomes a personal duty of every Muslim. In the face of the Jewish occupation of Palestine, it is necessary to raise the banner of jihad. This requires the propagation of Islamic consciousness among the masses, locally [in Palestine], in the Arab world and in the Islamic world. It is necessary to instill the spirit of jihad in the nation, engage the enemies and join the ranks of the jihad fighters. The indoctrination campaign must involve ulama, educators, teachers and information and media experts, as well as all intellectuals, especially the young people and the sheikhs of Islamic movements…

 

It is necessary to establish in the minds of all the Muslim generations that the Palestinian issue is a religious issue, and that it must be dealt with as such, for [Palestine] contains Islamic holy places, [namely] the Al-Aqsa mosque, which is inseparably connected, for as long as heaven and earth shall endure, to the holy mosque of Mecca through the Prophet’s nocturnal journey [from the mosque of Mecca to the Al-Aqsa mosque] and through his ascension to heaven thence. “Being stationed on the frontier for the sake of Allah for one day is better than this [entire] world and everything in it; and the place taken up in paradise by the [horseman's] whip of any one of you [jihad fighters] is better than this [entire] world and everything in it. Every evening [operation] and morning [operation] performed by Muslims for the sake of Allah is better than this [entire] world and everything in it.” (Recorded in the Hadith collections of Bukhari, Muslim, Tirmidhi and Ibn Maja). “By the name of Him who holds Muhammad’s soul in His hand, I wish to launch an attack for the sake of Allah and be killed and attack again and be killed and attack again and be killed.” (Recorded in the Hadith collections of Bukhari and Muslim)

Unfortunately, Hamas’ views on the jihad against Israel, and Islamic Jew hatred, are entirely concordant with those of the most authoritative religious educational institution within Sunni Islam—Al Azhar University, in Cairo, Egypt. Consider a fatwa written January 5, 1956 by then Grand Mufti of Egypt, Sheikh Hasan Ma’moun, and signed by the leading members of the Fatwa Committee of Al Azhar, and the major representatives of all four Sunni Islamic schools of jurisprudence. [English translation from State Department Telegram 1763/ Embassy (Cairo) Telegram 1256 D441214] This ruling elaborated the following key initial point: that all of historical Palestine having been conquered by jihad, was a permanent possession of the global Muslim umma (community), “fay territory” (booty/spoils), to be governed by Islamic Law. The January, 1956 Al Azhar fatwa’s language and arguments are indistinguishable from those employed by Hamas (in its Covenant), revealing the same conjoined motivations of jihad, and conspiratorial Islamic Jew hatred:

Muslims cannot conclude peace with those Jews who have usurped the territory of Palestine and attacked its people and their property in any manner which allows the Jews to continue as a state in that sacred Muslim territory.

 

[as] Jews have taken a part of Palestine and there established their non-Islamic government and have also evacuated from that part most of its Muslim inhabitants… Jihad… to restore the country to its people.. is the duty of all Muslims, not just those who can undertake it. And since all Islamic countries constitute the abode of every Muslim, the Jihad is imperative for both the Muslims inhabiting the territory attacked, and Muslims everywhere else because even though some sections have not been attacked directly, the attack nevertheless took place on a part of the Muslim territory which is a legitimate residence for any Muslim.

 

>Everyone knows that from the early days of Islam to the present day the Jews have been plotting against Islam and Muslims and the Islamic homeland. They do not propose to be content with the attack they made on Palestine and Al Aqsa Mosque, but they plan for the possession of all Islamic territories from the Nile to the Euphrates.

Iranian TV Program Teaches Toddlers About Martyrdom MEMRI

They didn't understand what war is. They didn't understand what murder, massacre, and crime are. They didn't understand what evil is. But before they had time to grow up, they got a taste of the enemy's evil.     [...]     "We all loathe those enemies. We all loathe them. We are furious at them. We identify with the Palestinian children.     [...]     "Suppose we put ourselves in the position of the Palestinian children – why not? Let's pray, because you are pure at heart. You are innocent children. No matter where you live in the world, you children are very pure. You are as white as snow, and as clear as running water.     [...]     "Dear God, these are difficult times. These days are full of pain and suffering. These are unbearable times for the children of Palestine and Gaza. Dear God, give them more patience and endurance."     Children in unison: "Amen."     TV host: "Dear God, we ask you to resolve their problems."     Children in unison: "Amen."     TV host: "Increase their perseverance, their patience, and their abilities."     Children in unison: "Amen."

Given this, are these same American Muslims praying for the Death to America as well. Death to Israel is synonymous with Death to America , invariably it is Death to the West.
Muslim immigration must be stopped.

Muslims in American mosques praying for destruction of Israel Jihadwatch

I am getting reports from sources inside American mosques that the dua qunoot -- a prayer for the destruction of Allah's enemies -- is being added to the regular prayers in American mosques. The prayer, which concludes, "Undoubtedly, your torment is going to overtake infidels," is being added to every raka'ah, or unit of Islamic prayer (salah). There are, of course, five prescribed prayers per day, and those are comprised of a total of 17 raka'ahs. So 17 times a day, pious Muslims in the United States are praying these days for the destruction of the enemies of Allah -- by which Israel is clearly meant.

The YouTube video features a famous imam, Mishary Rashid Al-Afasy, praying the qunoot prayer earlier this year for Gaza. This video is being sent around Muslim lists.

I wish to thank him, I suspect he is not Jewish but is a righteous man unafraid to speak against evil and fight for what's right. As an American, I beg Israel to continue the current military action against Hamas until Hamas surrenders and/or gives meaningful evidence that aggression against Israel will stop.  I believe that this conflict has repercussions far beyond Israel and Gaza.  Israel is a bulwark of civilization and is on the front line of the Islamist threat by dint of  religion, culture, history and geography.

ANYTHING SHORT OF A COMPLETE VICTORY WILL BE A DEFEAT.

Since August 2005, when Israel unilaterally disengaged from the Gaza Strip, thousands of rockets and mortars have been fired into Israeli civilian populations. In response to this, early Saturday morning, December 27, 2008, Israel launched as a self defensive measure, a series of airstrikes against Hamas targets in the Gaza Strip.

 

Meanwhile, as rockets continue to fall on Israeli towns and infrastructure, Israel still sends truck loads of humanitarian aid into Gaza on a daily basis.

 

Below, please find a statement by Foreign Minister Tzipi Livni explaining the current situation:

 

“We need to protect our citizens from attack through a military response against the terror infrastructure in Gaza. This is the translation of our basic right to self defense.

 

“We have tried everything to reach calm without using force. We agreed to a truce through Egypt that was violated by Hamas, which continued to target Israel, hold Gilad Shalit and build up its arms.

 

“Israel continues to act to prevent humanitarian crisis and to minimize harm to Palestinian civilians. Unfortunately, Hamas cynically abuses its own civilian population and their suffering for propaganda purposes. The responsibility for harm to civilians lies with Hamas.

 

“Hamas is a terrorist organization, supported by Iran, which does not represent the legitimate national interests of the Palestinian people but a radical Islamist agenda that seeks to deny peace for the peoples of this region. 

 

“While confronting Hamas, Israel continues to believe in the two State solution and remains committed to negotiations with the legitimate Palestinian Authority in the context of the peace process, launched at Annapolis. Israel expects the support and understanding of the international community, as it confronts terror, and advances the interest of all those who wish the forces of peace and co-existence to determine the agenda of this region.”
