They did a terrific job. I know of no other network would have the courage to broadcast a special of this nature. It is the best thing I have ever seen done on Islam.
Expect CAIR to go berserk.
And if I may give a shout out to Phyllis Chesler for her appearance. She cut through all the crap and spoke the truth in the straight talk.
If you missed it - do not despair, it will be on tomorrow, Sunday 8pm, 11pm 2am ET.
America - this is your wake -up call. The excuses the Muslim women and even one victim makes for this barbarity is indicative of just how deep the indoctrination is.

6,000. You only need half that to enrich uranium.Iran: West has accepted limited U-enrichment (Hindu). The entire global chessboard will change on a dime. Nothing happens for decades, and then decades happened in a day. Iran Ends Cooperation with UN Nuclear Arms Probe
TEHRAN, Iran (AP) — Iran's president said Saturday his country now possesses 6,000 centrifuges, a significant increase in its nuclear program that is certain to further rankle the United States and others who fear Tehran is intent on developing weapons.
The new figure is double the 3,000 uranium-enriching machines Iran had previously said it was operating.
President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad's announcement, reported by the semi-official Fars news agency, comes a week after the U.S. reversed course in negotiations over Iran's nuclear program by sending a top American diplomat to participate in talks between Tehran and world powers.

"I warn you to abandon the filthy Zionist entity, which has reached the end of the line. It has lost its reason to be and will sooner or later fall. The ones who still support the criminal Zionists should know that the occupiers' days are numbered. … Accept that the life of Zionists will sooner or later come to an end."

"They should know that if they are held captive by the Zionists and they do not dissociate themselves from them, they would soon be tried and punished in courts of justice by the powerful hands of nations."
On the Holocaust:
"After the Second World War, they created a scenario called 'pogrom against Jews.' All over Europe and the countries under Western rule, an anti-Jewish movement has been concocted. The climate of propaganda and psychological warfare on the one hand and on the other hand using the issue of ovens burning human beings, they have concocted a myth of deprivation and innocence for the Jews of Europe. They use this pretext of the innocence of Jews and the suffering of some Jews during the Second World War. Riding on the crest of a wave of anti-Jewish sentiments, they have laid the foundations for the Zionist regime."
On resettling the Jews from Israel to Canada or Alaska: "...you cannot tolerate the presence of Zionists in Europe but want to inflict them on the people of our region? You have so much land in your possession. This vast land of Canada and Alaska can be used to resettle the Jews. Save yourselves." (Al-Quds Day speech)

On aliyah to Israel: "...on the other hand, they gather a number of Jews from different parts of the world through false propaganda and with the promise of providing them with welfare, jobs and food, and settle them in the occupied territories, exposing them to the harshest restrictions, psychological pressures and constant threats.
They prevent these people from returning to their homelands and by coercion and propaganda induce them to malevolence toward the indigenous Palestinian people."
Call for "divine justice" in the international community: "The era of darkness will end. Prisoners will return home. The occupied lands will be freed. "It is quite clear that a bunch of Zionist racists are the problem the modern world is facing today. They have access to global power and media centers and seek to use this access to keep the world in a state of hardship, poverty and grudge and strengthen their rule. The great nation of Iran is opposed to this inhuman trend. Of course, the Iranian nation will stick to its rightful stance. The Zionists and their supporters do not know that they are using failed approaches to take on human values, human civilization, nations and the great nation of Iran. "[N]o Muslim nation would put up with this entity [i.e. Israel] in Islamic lands, not for one moment … If it's true that the [Europeans] committed a big crime in World War II, then they must take responsibility for it themselves, and not ask the Palestinian people to pay the price … Those countries that support this regime [Israel] were terrified at the suggestion that [Israel] should be relocated to their neighborhood. So why should the Palestinians and the countries in our region accept this entity?" (In a speech before an audience in the Iranian city of Qom, aired on television)

"[The creation of Israel after World War II] killed two birds with one stone [for Europe] … [The objectives achieved by Europe were] [s]weeping the Jews out of Europe and at the same time creating a European appendix with a Zionist and anti-Islamic nature in the heart of the Islamic world …Zionism is a Western ideology and a colonialist idea ... and right now it massacres Muslims with direct guidance and help from the United States and a part of Europe ... "Some European countries insist on saying that Hitler killed millions of innocent Jews in furnaces.... Although we don't accept this claim, if we suppose it is true, our question for the Europeans is: Is the killing of innocent Jewish people by Hitler the reason for their support to the occupiers of Jerusalem? If the Europeans are honest they should give some of their provinces in Europe -- like in Germany, Austria or other countries -- to the Zionists and the Zionists can establish their state in Europe." One world? Obama's on a different planet
The senator's Berlin speech was radical and naive John Bolton LA Times (hat tip Van)
SEN. BARACK OBAMA said in an interview the day after his Berlin speech that it "allowed me to send a message to the American people that the judgments I have made and the judgments I will make are ones that are going to result in them being safer."
If that is what the senator thought he was doing, he still has a lot to learn about both foreign policy and the views of the American people. Although well received in the Tiergarten, the Obama speech actually reveals an even more naive view of the world than we had previously been treated to in the United States. In addition, although most of the speech was substantively as content-free as his other campaign pronouncements, when substance did slip in, it was truly radical, from an American perspective.
These troubling comments were not widely reported in the generally adulatory media coverage given the speech, but they nonetheless deserve intense scrutiny. It remains to be seen whether these glimpses into Obama's thinking will have any impact on the presidential campaign, but clearly they were not casual remarks. This speech, intended to generate the enormous publicity it in fact received, reflects his campaign's carefully calibrated political thinking. Accordingly, there should be no evading the implications of his statements. Consider just the following two examples.
First, urging greater U.S.-European cooperation, Obama said, "The burdens of global citizenship continue to bind us together." Having earlier proclaimed himself "a fellow citizen of the world" with his German hosts, Obama explained that the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Europe proved "that there is no challenge too great for a world that stands as one."
Perhaps Obama needs a remedial course in Cold War history, but the Berlin Wall most certainly did not come down because "the world stood as one." The wall fell because of a decades-long, existential struggle against one of the greatest totalitarian ideologies mankind has ever faced. It was a struggle in which strong and determined U.S. leadership was constantly questioned, both in Europe and by substantial segments of the senator's own Democratic Party. In Germany in the later years of the Cold War, Ostpolitik -- "eastern politics," a policy of rapprochement rather than resistance -- continuously risked a split in the Western alliance and might have allowed communism to survive. The U.S. president who made the final successful assault on communism, Ronald Reagan, was derided by many in Europe as not very bright, too unilateralist and too provocative.
But there are larger implications to Obama's rediscovery of the "one world" concept, first announced in the U.S. by Wendell Willkie, the failed Republican 1940 presidential nominee, and subsequently buried by the Cold War's realities.
The successes Obama refers to in his speech -- the defeat of Nazism, the Berlin airlift and the collapse of communism -- were all gained by strong alliances defeating determined opponents of freedom, not by "one-worldism." Although the senator was trying to distinguish himself from perceptions of Bush administration policy within the Atlantic Alliance, he was in fact sketching out a post-alliance policy, perhaps one that would unfold in global organizations such as the United Nations. This is far-reaching indeed.
Second, Obama used the Berlin Wall metaphor to describe his foreign policy priorities as president: "The walls between old allies on either side of the Atlantic cannot stand. The walls between the countries with the most and those with the least cannot stand. The walls between races and tribes; natives and immigrants; Christian and Muslim and Jew cannot stand. These now are the walls we must tear down."
This is a confused, nearly incoherent compilation, to say the least, amalgamating tensions in the Atlantic Alliance with ancient historical conflicts. One hopes even Obama, inexperienced as he is, doesn't see all these "walls" as essentially the same in size and scope. But beyond the incoherence, there is a deeper problem, namely that "walls" exist not simply because of a lack of understanding about who is on the other side but because there are true differences in values and interests that lead to human conflict. The Berlin Wall itself was not built because of a failure of communication but because of the implacable hostility of communism toward freedom. The wall was a reflection of that reality, not an unfortunate mistake.
Tearing down the Berlin Wall was possible because one side -- our side -- defeated the other. Differences in levels of economic development, or the treatment of racial, immigration or religious questions, are not susceptible to the same analysis or solution. Even more basically, challenges to our very civilization, as the Cold War surely was, are not overcome by naively "tearing down walls" with our adversaries.

1) The journalist's name -
2) And gosh, which part of this story doesn't mesh up with the one I cite, from YNet? Hm, could it be... "illicit relationships?" Yeah, yeah, that's the ticket. And no condemnation from these paragons of virtue, of tolerance, of "human rights," of decency and morality... nope, just moral equivocation, and of course, likening the Iranian regime to "Texas..."
As I ran for my morning coffee and news fix, I stumbled upon tomorrow's edition of the soon to be defunct NY Times Sunday Magazine sitting on the counter. When I saw the cover, a misleading disinformaton campaign on the Church of Latter day saints, I said to the guy behind the register, "I won't buy the paper, how much for the mag?" He said "take it" (they can't give that rag away).
The New York Times, the official Obama newspaper, has figured out that Romney will be McCain's running mate (G-d willing). Romney is a Mormon which they never stopped reminding us of when he was running for the Republican nomination. (Romney's Mormon Question - TIME Magazine- Is the US ready to elect a president whose religion has become such an issue?)
This is New York Times cover story? What's their agenda? This is a subliminal attack on Romney's religion.
The New York Times has done a Tines Sunday magazine cover story on the tiny, bizarre sect the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints that clearly does not represent the Mormon faith. But no matter. This is the beginning of the smear Romney campaign, the perfect candidate for the number 2 slot on the GOP ticket.
"The young women -- willing wives? abuse victims? - polygamist Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints"
Don't get me wrong. I do not like what went down at this compound but you and I know that's not at play here. The Times is transparent. This is a naked attempt to smear the religion of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter day Saints. And while the rampant polygamy of Islam (100,000 US Muslims engage in polygamy), the terrible subjugation and oppression of women in Islam, the spousal and child abuse, the honor killings, the Islamic clitorectomies, the 11,542 (as of today) Islamic attacks across the world since 911, are given a free pass by the New York Times - every other religion is fair game.
This piece reported nothing new. Nor was it substantive in any way.
Mind you, the piece lacks any substance and calls it " a photo essay by Stephanie Sinclair" and that's all it was ........... this is a non-story. The bottom line the story offers no new information. That freakazoid Warren Jeffs is now serving 10 years to life while awaiting trial for other sex related charges. So why this story and why now? It's propaganda, that's why.
On a humid Wednesday in late June, as she waited to be summoned by a grand jury, 16 year old Teresa Jeffs hitched up her navy blue prairie dress and hoisted herself into the the crooked arms of a live oak tree that sits in front of the Schleicher County Courthouse in Eldorado, Texas.
Wanna talk about a hot dress in the summertime? Let's talk chador or burka in the sweltering heat of Texas or Saudi Arabia or Canada or ......
Why is Obama's Muslim upbringing virtually ignored by the NY Times (and every other media)? Why hide it? Obama was 'quite religious in Islam'. Why did the Times not dig deeper when in a free-ranging interview with the New York Times, Obama described the Muslim call to prayer as "one of the prettiest sounds on Earth at sunset.”
The Times' Nicholos Kristof wrote Obama recited, "with a first-class [Arabic] accent," the opening lines of the Muslim call to prayer.
Why wasn't a red flag raised when Obama said in his book Audacity of Hope: 'I will stand with the Muslims should the political winds shift in an ugly direction.' Has Islam not declared war on the West? What was 911?
Who can forget the NY Times glorification of the barbaric Islamic practice of clitorectomies (here)
the barbarism of FGM is indeed referred to “misleadingly” as “circumcision” in a quintessential culturally (or if you prefer, clitorally) relative depiction by Sara Corbett published in the New York Times Sunday Magazine
UPDATE: I know The FLDS and the LDS are two entirely different animals but The Times is counting on American ignorance and lack of intellectual curiosity. They certainly did not make the distinction.

Something extraordinary is happening. Miraculous even. Despite a Pravda like press cleaning up Obama's interviews, running Obama press releases as news, blacking out blockbuster Obama scandals like Rezko, condemned (and fatal) housing projects, treacherous support for Odinga, COLB questions, illegal foreign campaign contributions, terrorist Ayers, Nation of Islam allegiances, Farrakhan support, Black Panther support, Auchi, terrorist campaigning via phone banks for Obama, a Hamas endorsement, that he still would have opposed the surge. etc all this while working in tandem with a cultural psyop on the national psyche in stores, celebrity magazines, and his marketing war machine consortium -- the race is a dead heat and McCain is picking up steam.
That's a miracle. McCain made eight trips overseas and crickets chirped. Late night television hosts refuse to joke about the Obamessiah. The Obama camp plastered posters at at the holiest of holies - the Kotel (!) Obama is campaining in Europe while McCain campaigns at truck stops and the race is a dead heat. Miracle.
McCain has barely discovered the internet while Obama has the internet giants so in the tank, google is actually deleting anti-Obama sites and images of the his certificate of live birth while raising 200 million on the net.
Media donations favor Democrats 100-1 and still McCain is pulling ahead.
Altogether now - Hallelujah!
Reader Rudolph wrote me, "Something interesting happened this morning. I heard on the radio that McCain was closing the gap on Obama in four key battleground states, and was actually ahead in Colorado. I was very surprised to hear this, given the media adulation and coverage of his trip abroad and the fact that he was already considered (or at least, anointed) our next President by the Europeans. Every morning, I read my Washington Post after it is delivered; I go to the NY Times site during the day. (Of course I pick up the Washington Times every day at the newsstand). The press coverage of Obama has been amazing. I’ve never seen anything so one-sided and so adoring of one candidate.
Then, I heard about the poll this morning. It was the battleground state poll by Quinnipiac. McCain has now inched ahead in Colorado, and stands to make it more competitive in Michigan, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
So, even with all the news about the highly efficient well-oiled and well-financed Obama campaign, the dull, plodding, inept and less well-financed McCain campaign, McCain is still in the thick of it.
I can’t see McCain’s issues of strength—foreign affairs and defense and energy prices—receding before the election.
Based on the aggregation of this polling data, Obama is already having trouble breaking through with middle aged and older white women; McCain’s gaining strength with white men. McCain’s strengths are on energy prices and foreign affairs.
I thought it might be interesting to see what is actually happening notwithstanding the hoopla over Obama’s foreign trip and cheering European crowds"
McCain Closes In On Obama In Four Battleground States, Quinnipiac University/Wall Street Journal/ Washingtonpost.Com Poll Finds --- COLORADO: McCain 46 - Obama 44 MICHIGAN: Obama 46 - McCain 42 MINNESOTA: Obama 46 - McCain 44 WISCONSIN: Obama 50 - McCain 39 Quinnipiac University
Arizona Sen. John McCain has inched ahead of Illinois Sen. Barack Obama in Colorado; come within inches in Minnesota and narrowed the gap in Michigan and Wisconsin, according to four simultaneous Quinnipiac University polls of likely voters in these battleground states, conducted in partnership with The Wall Street Journal and washingtonpost.com and released today.
And this in spite of the frightening Democrat "Colorado Model".
Voters in each state say energy policy is more important than the war in Iraq. And by margins of 22 to 31 percentage points, voters in each state support offshore oil drilling, and by seven to 12-point margins, drilling in the Alaskan National Wildlife Refuge.
Sen. McCain has picked up support in almost every group in every state, especially among independent voters and men voters. The Republican now leads Obama among independent voters in Michigan and Minnesota. Overall results show:
Colorado: McCain is up by a nose 46 - 44 percent, compared to a 49 - 44 percent Obama lead June 26; Michigan: Obama tops McCain 46 - 42 percent, compared to a 48 - 42 percent lead last time; Minnesota: Obama edges ahead 46 - 44 percent, compared to a 54 - 37 percent Obama lead; Wisconsin: Obama leads McCain 50 - 39 percent, compared to 52 - 39 percent.
"Sen. Barack Obama's post-primary bubble hasn't burst, but it is leaking a bit. It's been a good month for Sen. John McCain. His movement in these key states, not large except for Minnesota, jibes with the tightening we are seeing in the national polls," said Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac University Polling Institute.
"The good news for McCain is that he has improved his standing in Colorado and Michigan, two states that are critical to each man's strategy. Obama wants to break through in the Rocky Mountain and Southwestern states that have been going Republican for decades. McCain sees recently Democratic Michigan as his top takeaway target," Brown added.
"One reason for McCain's progress may be the energy issue. The results show increased support for additional drilling - which McCain supports and Obama opposes. Roughly one in ten voters say they have changed their minds and now favor drilling because of the jump in energy prices. They support Obama, but with voters saying that the energy issue is now more important to their presidential vote than is the war in Iraq, this group represents an opportunity for the Republican.

Last night I made good on my promise on my new radio show Voices of Freedom on KFNX to play new and original music with a message, a counter jihad message. Great rockin' tunes. Several concerned and talent rock stars got together and put to music everything they had learned about Islam after 9/11. What took years to learn has been put to fabulous music. They are currently producing a CD of roughly 22 songs which will be available on itunes.
Last night I played the world premiere of Appeasement
What happens when a desire for peace at at any price meets an insatiable desire for world conquest?
is about the tacit acceptance of the Cairo Declaration of Human Rights in Islam by the UN. We think it's a pretty shocking document and more people would be shocked by it, if only they knew about it
From the new website:
We're getting ready for a forthcoming web launch. We know it's a mysterious name but you'll just have to wait.
We’re not quite ready for our full launch yet when we will be making an album of songs available. These will be ground breaking songs that explain concepts that most journalists, politicians and even controversy seeking artists have shied away from.
WMD is a group of concerned rockers and rock stars. We’ve studied and read since 9-11 and found out some facts that are pretty hard to find out. We want to share these with a wider audience. We know many people are reading blogs and web sites about these topics but we want to reach out to those who don’t or won’t read the books and blogs on Jihad and Islam.
We are working on our songs right now. We've had some limited release of the following songs and we invite you to download them and listen to them. Pass on links to our site if you like and keep watching. We’ll be updating our site so you might like to subscribe to our news feed or keep checking our blog.
Above all, listen to our work about which we will provide copious notes and links so you can study the way we have if you like, and make up your own mind!
Stupid and obviously predictable. SHAME ON BUSH FOR PUTTING THE FREE WORLD AT RISK. We have entered the era of the The Anti-Bush Doctrine. Good luck with that.
Iran ends cooperation with UN nuclear arms probe< (AP)
Iran signaled Thursday that it will no longer cooperate with U.N. experts probing for signs of clandestine nuclear weapons work, confirming the investigation is at a dead end a year after it began. The announcement from Iranian Vice President Gholam Reza Aghazadeh compounded skepticism about denting Tehran nuclear defiance, just five days after Tehran stonewalled demands from six world powers that it halt activities capable of producing the fissile core of warheads.
UPDATE July 28: "Obama's note was published in Ma'ariv and other international publications following Obama's authorization to make the content of the note public. Obama submitted a copy of the note to media outlets when he left his hotel in Jerusalem.
"Lord – Protect my family and me," read the note published in the Maariv daily. "Forgive me my sins, and help me guard against pride and despair. Give me the wisdom to do what is right and just. And make me an instrument of your will.
His prayer, written on a piece of hotel notepaper, was published by an Israeli newspaper, which was criticised for making it public.(Barack Obama's private prayer at Jerusalem Western Wall subject of publication row here) hat tip Kasper
UPDATE: Glick on Obama's prayer:
This was supposed to be a private benediction, and it was extraordinarily improper for someone to take this prayer and sell it to the media. On the other hand, in the world of paparazzi, the exposure of the prayer was predictable, and Obama apparently constructed the prayer for public consumption. Like everything else about his visit, this was a carefully crafted statement, designed not to ruffle very many feathers. And like this prayer, there was nothing extraordinary about Obama’s visit. As you would expect from a politician, he tried to be all things to all people. And he probably succeeded.
UPDATE: Obama, the Narcissist at the "Wailing Wall" Yid mit lid
and Donald Sensing say it doesn't pass the smell test: Obama's Wsetern Wall Prayer
Advertises Democrat candidate's website, official slogan at Judaism's holiest site
....Israeli police spokesman Micky Rosenfeld confirmed to WND posters that adorned police barricades erected at the Western Wall plaza for Obama's visit were distributed by the presidential candidate's campaign....... Asked if it was traditional practice for politicians visiting the Western Wall to bring along posters or campaign materials, Rosenfeld replied, "No."....."
Ma'ariv issued a response Sunday, saying that "Obama's note was published in Ma'ariv and other international publications following Obama's authorization to make the content of the note public. Obama submitted a copy of the note to media outlets when he left his hotel in Jerusalem.
Redlasso is the indispensible video service I (and myriad bloggers) use to capture those "special" moments in the media. Well, you know the free speech haters were going to kill it. This runs along the same lines of the "fairness doctrine". Redlasso has been shut down. Here's the offcial press release: Download Redlasso_to_Stop_Access.pdf
Let me tell my readers - redlasso was my single most important and effective tool. I just received this (I think I am going to throw up)
To Our Loyal Friends and Users:
We would like to thank you for your continued support of Redlasso. You have been essential to making Redlasso a household name online. Unfortunately, due to the legal actions taken against Redlasso by two networks, we are left with no alternative but to suspend access to our video search and clipping Beta site FOR THE IMMEDIATE FUTURE. The networks have provided a big blow to the blogger community's right to exercise the first amendment and comment on newsworthy events. It is anti-Web.
During this service suspension, we will continue our conversations with content providers, with the goal of establishing formal partnerships that will quickly help us restore access to the Beta site. When we return, we will let you know immediately.
For our business and Radio To Web clients, Redlasso will continue to operate and provide those services to you without interruption.
We are very disappointed in the actions of select networks. We believe we have always acted within the law and have been respectful of the networks’ rights. Unfortunately, they have forced our hand and are denying the blogging community access to the Redlasso platform that beneficially tracks the usage of newsworthy clips across the Web,” said Ken Hayward, CEO of Redlasso. “Redlasso’s goal is to develop a platform that provides content owners and bloggers a viable solution to tracking and monetizing content online, not to engage in lawsuits. In the eight months the Beta site has been in operation, we have built wide brand awareness and equity amongst the blogger and media communities. The wide spread use of our tools and platform demonstrates that the Redlasso model is a simple and elegant solution for all content owners to track and monetize content usage on the Web; content that would otherwise be untraceably spread across the Internet and used for free.”
Judi McLeod, Editor and award winning journalist of the Canadian Free Press, has assembled this family album (passed on by Poland-based journalist and CFP columnist David Dastych). Thanks Judi, we owe you a debt of gratitude. And thanks Obama for these words of unity and post-racial harmony. This would be a wonderful spread for People magazine. America loves stars and their families. Looking forward to widespread mainstream media coverage on this. (/sarc tag off) Read the whole post here.(hat tip Jane).
With mother Stanley Ann Dunham. In his own autobiography Obama writes, ‘How and when the marriage occurred remains a bit murky, a bill of particulars that I have never quite had the courage to explore.’ (His father was still married to his first wife Kezia in Kenya at the time.)
U.S. presidential hopeful Barack Obama’s uncle has been a prisoner in his own home, trapped by post election violence that has left more than 600 Kenyans dead. ‘If Barack Obama were elected, he would improve relations between Africa and America because he had his roots in Africa’, his uncle said.
Barack has stated his support for Luo Raila Odinga (Opposition Leader in Kenya who signed a ‘Shariah pact’ with Muslims and claims to be Obama’s cousin) and is married to Ida Odinga. They have four children - two sons and two daughters. His oldest son, Fidel, is named after Fidel Castro
Barack’s father, Muslim, hard-drinker, was married three times, attended Harvard and returned to Kenya. Obama claims he was an atheist, but he was raised Muslim and was given a Muslim burial at Barack’s family’s request.
His father’s only visit while Obama was in Hawaii
Mother’s 2nd husband Lolo Soetoro (Indonesian Muslim), their daughter Maya, and Obama.
Abandoned by his father and shipped off by his mother to his white grandparents, Barry Sotero becomes Barack Hussein Obama. Obama would describe his grandparents as ‘white folk.’ (Yeah, ‘white folk’ that would NOT abandon you, their grandchild. Shame on you Obama.)
Barack stands behind Kezia (stepmother) in a Kenyan family shot. (Including brother Abongo ‘Roy’ Obama who is a Luo activist and a ‘Militant Muslim’ who argues that the black man must ‘liberate himself from the poisoning influences of European culture.’ ) ‘Abongo’s new lifestyle has left him lean and clear-eyed, and at the wedding, he looked so dignified in his black African gown with white trim and matching cap that some of our guests mistook him for my father,’ Obama wrote in Dreams From My Father.
Obama’s visit to Africa ‘06 (Where are the transcripts of the speeches he gave here? Campaigning for Odinga? Wouldn’t it be great to be able to read these? Do the people of the state of Illinois know about Obama’s radical background?
UPDATE 7/25: Caroline further expounds on her remarks last night concerning Obamania. Today's NRO:
Political Messiah in the Holy Land
Obama in the Mideast
Kathryn Jean Lopez: Am I wrong in saying that Barack Obama did not impress Israel?
Caroline Glick: Israelis are very caught up with our local news right now. Foremost on our national agenda are the seven criminal probes being carried out against Prime Minister Ehud Olmert, the political maneuvering surrounding those investigations, and the expectation of new elections or some governmental shake-up in the wake of Olmert’s likely indictment on fraud charges. Consequently, Obama’s visit didn’t evoke any deep-seated interest in Israel.
At the same time, he didn’t make any serious mistakes during his visit so to the extent he made any impression, he made a positive one. There is trepidation in Israel about the statements he has made about Iran and the division of Jerusalem and his associations with anti-Semites like Rev. Jeremiah Wright. But the media wasn’t given much opportunity to challenge him on these points and so the trepidation was not dispelled. But again, Israelis by and large just weren’t that into him.
Lopez: What was the point of the trip there so far as you can tell?
Glick: The point of the trip was clearly to shore up support for Obama among American Jewish voters. It is hard to know whether he was successful in doing so or not, although he certainly didn’t hurt himself among those who already support him.
His repeated assertions of his commitment to Israel’s security were repeatedly contradicted by the policies he wishes to adopt if elected. On the one hand he opposes permitting Iran to acquire nuclear weapons, but on the other hand, he insists that the way to make this happen is to sit down and talk to President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad who has made annihilating the Jewish state one of his main goals in office. He says he understands Israel’s need to protect its citizens from terror attacks but then he says that Israel’s interests are served by strengthening the Palestinian terror groups by extending Palestinian sovereignty from Gaza to the West Bank. Gaza is ruled by jihadists from Hamas who are bankrolled, trained and armed by Iran. How are Israel’s interests served by importing jihadist control to the outskirts of Tel-Aviv and to Jerusalem?
Then again, like Israeli Jews, American Jews are not too caught up in details. He said he supports Israel and got his picture taken at Yad Vashem and the Wailing Wall wearing a kippa. So he probably succeeded in pulling more American Jews into his camp of supporters.
Lopez: How close did you get to the “messiah”?
Glick: I generally try to stay as far away as I possibly can from people who say they can make oceans recede. Our paths didn’t cross. In fact, I managed to be out of the country on Wednesday.
Lopez: How did the Palestinians take to him?
Glick: They were certainly gratified that unlike Senator John McCain, Obama made the trip to Ramallah and had his picture taken with Fatah chief Mahmoud Abbas against the backdrop of Yasser Arafat’s photograph. It is hard though to know if Obama’s trip changed the Palestinians’ impression of him. It is already clear, and has been for months that the Palestinians, like the Arab world (minus Iraq) prefer Obama to McCain because they view him as sympathetic to their war against Israel and their hostility towards the U.S. and the rest of the West. But he was in Israel for such a short time that it is hard to say that his visit excited anyone.
Lopez: Does he remind you of anyone?
Glick: Obama acts like a European leader in his treatment of Israel. On the one hand, he professes this profound respect for Israel and the Jews, and goes on and on about how our security is important to him. On the other hand, he espouses policies that undermine Israeli security and threaten its survival, and demands that the Jewish state become the only state that turns its other cheek towards our enemies as they try to kill us. This is the same sort of message that we hear from all Europeans leaders. And it is tiresome and insulting.
Beyond that, Obama is in a unique situation because of the adulation he enjoys from the U.S. and Western media. The media is willing to ignore all of the substantive contradictions inherent in his policy pronouncements and to base their support for him on a quasi-religious faith. I don’t remember this ever happening before in an American election — at least not to the same extent. It is an interesting sociological phenomenon that is worthy of academic research. On a political level, it makes debate very difficult since Obama is treated more as a symbol than a politician. And it is hard to debate a symbol.

And here's the lyrics to the world premiere broadcast of Appeasement by a group of concerned rock stars calling themselves Weapon of Musical Defense (WMD) - I dedicated it to Obamacide
UPDATE: THE WEBSITE IS UP!
Dressed up as
The benefits seem immediate - And popular
And tangible - And profitable
Peace at what price? - Good for elections
But is it not an illusion, are we not kidding ourselves?
Not just staving off the day of reckoning?
Ever be compromised?
Evil will live on, evil will live on
Evil will live on, evil will live on
Evil will live on, evil will live on
Evil will live on, evil will live on
Do we sacrifice our principles?
In the name of diplomacy
Tolerate blatant intolerance
Shake hands with those who hate us
Can they ever be satisfied?
foreign flag yet fly over Paris
London, Rome and Washington
want to take over, dominate their neighbour, does their teaching
Demand it, their culture require it?
Has political correctness
Made free men blind?
Could a take over be by stealth, by demographics
Will democracy last long, or will it
waste, exhaust and
murder itself. Will democracies commit suicide?
The enemy feels the weakness and they
Teach their flock
The free world's decadent
and weak and soft
And hedonistic and corrupt
And materialistic as if they're not
And they should be able to defeat it.
That's what Hitler and Stalin thought
underestimate the will, the resolve
of the free world to defend itself
That democracies are up to it and strong,
submit, surrender, don't succumb.
Evil will live on, evil will live on
Evil will live on, evil will live on
Evil will live on, evil will live on
Evil will live on, evil will live on
Evil will live on, evil will live
The evil that men do
Lives after them
