Comparing international relations to a marriage is about as simple minded as you can get. The only thing I would disagree with, is the characterization of Peres as a mere fool. He is a deluded and willing
destroyer of 'Israel' except as a cafe nation, of high tech, and business, , in a global village which allows it's
status as the producer of high tech and agricultural products in the middle east.
His many comments, positiions and statements in this regard have been so noted here. I don't know if this video was, but it's rather a horrifying example of his beliefs.

Shimon Peres tells Israeli youth that history is irrelevant, borders and land are the past, and science and technology alone are the future. "G-d makes us crazy," he says, and tells us mankind has found new partners in science and technology that are much more dependable.

He tells youth not to listen to their parents or their teachers (those that actually love and care about them the most) and that they should look towards a new world, a new reality.

History, Torah, and heritage should be stored on a computer to be remembered, states Peres, but that youth should forget the past and look towards a "new world" and a new future. Peres instructs that land and borders are "old world" and simply cause wars.

I have seen the video, and what Simon Perez said sound reasonable to me, he talks about technologie, unmaned plains and so on. There are at least a few in Europe who understand that the Muslim immigration into the western culture countries is indeed a real threat. Geert Wilders' film Fitna for example.
