MUSLIM WOMAN LIED ABOUT ATTACK AT US COLLEGE

You have to wonder who put her up to it. A Muslim girl lied and said she was attacked for her religion. Her property was defaced with a Nazi symbol - was she pretending to be Jewish? I'm confused.

Muslim student pleads not guilty in reporting Elmhurst College attack

A 19-year-old female Elmhurst College student lied when she said she was assaulted by a masked gunman last week, police said Friday.

Oak Brook native Safia Z. Jilani has been arrested and charged with filing a false police report.

Jilani said she was attacked in a lower-level bathroom at the college's Schaible Science Center. Word of the attack forced the campus into lockdown and and an emergency text message was sent to students, urging them to stay indoors while police scoured the campus for a suspect.

She said the attack was motivated because of her Muslim religion.

Jilani said her locker was defaced with a Nazi symbol and incendiary phrases a week prior to the alleged attack. Police said they are still investigating that incident.

The same words of hate scrawled on her locker were also found on a mirror the night she claimed she was attacked.

Police said Friday that a week-long investigation has determined that the assault and graffiti never occurred.

Filing a false police report is a felony and punishable by up to three years in prison, police said. (more here)

I take it for granted--unless I see evidence to the contrary--that such incidents are stagings to make one's opponents look bad. For example, the lyching in effigy of Obama that occurred during the election campaign was probably done by pro-Obama people to intensify the notion that opposition to Obama is due to racism.

Oh yeah, this was staged. Most, if not all of the incidents of hate crime against Muslims is staged by Muslims.

The Obama effigy? I'm 50/50. It was one of the most underhanded, dishonest, downright lawbreaking campaigns imaginable - just about anything's possible. On the other hand there are still people in this day sick enough to really lynch him in effigy.

Well, to be exact I'm less inclined to think anti-Muslim incidents are staged when it's in doubt, than I was about the Obama incident.
