FOX CAVES TO OBAMA CORRECTNESS: CANS E.D. HILL
Remember back in June when E.D. Hill did ran down the Obama terror pound and FOX caved? Here's the original post:POLITICALLY CORRECT FOX NEWS FIRES E.D.HILL June 12, 2008
Well it's official, FOX canned E.D. Hill. Cowards all.
E.D. Hill To Leave Fox News Channel (hat tip Sherry)
Exclusive: TVNewser has learned veteran Fox News Channel anchor E.D. Hill will not be renewed when her current contract expires. Hill, who has been with Fox News for more than 10 years, will continue with the network for the next few months until her current deal expires.
SVP of Programming Bill Shine tells TVNewser that he "chose not to renew E.D.'s latest contract" but noted that "Hill has been a valued contributor to the success of FNC over the years, and we wish her all the best."
Hill has been without a regular Fox News program since June 16, when America's Pulse was replaced by two hours of Live Desk. Ten days earlier Hill used the term terrorist fist jab when promoting an upcoming body language segment that was going to look into the primary night fist bump shared by Barack and Michelle Obama.
For most of her nearly 11 years at FNC Hill anchored Fox & Friends. In 2006 she moved to a late morning program then to the afternoons where, in the months leading up to the election, she'd been filling in on America's Election HQ.
Sherry adds, do you suppose the hundreds of reporters who repeated things people said about Palin failed to get renewed contracts?

News Channel anchor

personally, i thought that whoever said "terrorist fist jab" was disgustingly out of line. that kind of greeting has been in use for a long time. having problems with my hand, i often use it instead of a handshake.
it is a common greeting in the black community. so with that statement is a false stigma placed on a large group of undeserving people.
if e.d. hill used it i think it merited disciplinary action and perhaps even an apology. ( i personally resent the distorted and false characterization).
however, to fire a long standing journalist of good record for one error? particularly, as you stated, re the terrible things said about palin. although i'm not familliar with her other work, i think a proper retraction by e.d. hill may have been sufficient. it'd depend on what she said and her overall record. obviously, fox rec'd alot of feedback on it.
but honestly, i am somewhat ambivalent about it.
and as you know, ambivalency can cut both ways. :)
quick, call an ambivalence!!!
are you sure?
uh, well,...

Well, it is a sign of the times...free speech is not free anymore, not under the new Obamanation. I am disgusted that Obama and his brood are anywhere near our government - but hey, i did my part not to elect him, you can thank all the kids out there who know 0% about anything the man stands for. I even found out last night, a very well-educated black lady I work with voted him in (surprise surprise) when i asked her if she had ever researched his politics she said "well, no, but he is a historical figure that will do wonders for our people".....let's see where she stands in 2 years on that point of view.

Ayers has been quoted as saying that Fox News is an enemy of the state. I guess he was wrong.

Are they going to let Alan Colmes go?
Immediately after Palin was chosen he had on his website that Trig's Downs Syndrome was perhaps due to poor pre-natal care. He later scrubbed it without an apology.
Aside from being a scientifically ignorant comment, it was disgusting.

Freedom of speech does not include "freedom from being insulted by another's words." If you don't like it, kobi, you DON'T HAVE TO LISTEN!!!!!
This political correctness, more precisely it is tyranny of the mind, is destroying freedom. Freedom without the responsibility it entails is not freedom.
So, kobi, you can take your "terrorist fist jab," shine it up real good, turn it sideways and SHOVE IT STRAIGHT UP YOUR POLITICALLY CORRECT @$$!!!!!

Click on the link in the story "terrorist fist jab" It is a video with apology and states it was not her own personal comment but she was reporting on how "some others in the media had characterized it."

I'm fed up with Fox's antics during this election. Murdoch has lost credibility with me due to his censoring his own reporters and contributing to the dumbing down of America, while he scolds the other MSM recently, his own lack of good judgement gets exposed. E.D. Hill did the special to educate America on Islam. E.D.Hill was one of his best reporters. Why do the women get the ax when it's obvious that Shep Smith is spinning out of control by saying the viewers don't have enough sense to read news from other sources and we should leave that up to him and OReilly to filter it all for us. Shep also said that it is perposterous to say there was Media bias in this election. Pffft! I don't see Shep on the carpet! I've decided to cancel all cable tv. Free To Air Satelitte. Let Fox suffer with the NYT

Prepare to be alarmed.

sherry: thanks for the reference. i'll check it out.
my guess is that 'terrorist fist jab' was not a major thing until she reported it and it blew up. but i'll check it out.
thomas: this blog welcomes comments, insights, humor and even 'feelings' (feeeeelings, wo wo wo feeeelings)...
however, your feeble attempt at an insult reads like a toddler who needs his daipies changed. po baby.
does intewigent exchange weally make you angwy??
hmmm???
some folks just can't handle the truth and they react instead of responding.
so save your splattering for other places and c'mon back when you have clean diapies and some baby powder.

sherry, i watched the video. i think it's good that she apologized. this greeting has been around for a long time in the black community and is well known in america generally. i think she and fox really blew it on this one. 'terrorist' is a very red flag term and this case was entirely inappropriate and divisive.
does that negate all of the other work that hill has done? i don't know. i'm not familiar with her work.
now, to more important things, like:
1. the supreme court case to get ozero out
2. saving israel and the jewish people from the moslems and the left
3. saving america from same.
but as i said, given the context of what was said about palin etc. i think the whole thing is over the top.
and, more importantly, let's get it straight.
you got your pound (fist to fist front ways) and then you got your daps, also can be known as a pound, one fist on top of the other.

Terrorist is a BAD word, as was Nazi in the 30's. This year's scenes gave me nightmares.
And why has no one mentioned that if only 4% of the newly registered did not vote (for they really should have passed a drug or current events test)Obama would not have been deigned the winner. Don't bother vilifying me - I'm Black skinned and walked with Dr. King in D.C. on August 23, 1963. Best defense is the TRUTH, which Obama is short on.

Prepare to be alarmed.
Not sure why we should be alarmed. The NYT never had any trouble printing military secrets without any repercussions.
The media is behaving exactly the way it wants to be behave: squarely in the tank for fauxBama.
BBnana: welcome, and I wonder what Dr. King would think about 40 million abortions, disproportionately black, with the majority of Planned Parenthood abortuariums in the inner cities?
Heck, he'd probably be vilified like Clarence Thomas.
Let's roll.

from one exDemocrat to another - in those days I was in favor of legalization so that procedures would be by licensed doctors under sterilized conditions. Dr Gutmacher was in favor of PP but would be rolling over if he could see what they morphed into. My husband thinks I'm crazy to think that they are covertly out to reduce the growth of blacks. Obama's positions on partial birth, etc seems to confirm my thinking and reminds me of the ideals within Mein Kamph. And still no one dares to mention that the Messiah was ?elected? by people who voted color vs. content.

Ms. Hill's dismissal might also be am indirect result of Islamic infiltration into the ranks of media corporation ownership. As one point of Islam's 20 Point Plan to Conquer the United States By the Year 2020, acquiring ownership of the US media figures prominently. With enough stockholding power, the Muslim world can impose censorship on the American people.
The last I heard six percent of Fox stocks were in the hands of Arab Muslims. It's probably more than that now and may very well be enough to get Ms. Hill removed from her job.
Islamic infiltration into the US media and the media elsewhere may also be at the root of the problems of political correctness bias and censorship.
E.D. Hill was a damn good anchorwoman and will be missed. And she spoke out against Islam's brutality (which makes me think the Muslims had something to do with her dismissal).
