Because upstanding people like Sarah and Joe make them look bad.

And its not just elitists in the media, it is also elitists in politics, and Republican elitists seem to be just as bad.

And we wonder why the GOP lost this election? I don't.

Count me in. We need to clear out the dead wood from the Republican Party.

I think you've been marvelous thru this, Pamela, doing the work the media won't. I don't know where you find the energy but I'm with you.

Yep, don't look in the mirror at your failed, prehistoric, pansy assed let's get along policies...you blame and cannibalize Palin, the very person
who brought you the votes that you got.
McCain ran a failed campaign...no structure, no differentiation and he did not use any of the ammunition that you and many others
handed him on a platinum platter...pathetic!

One more thing: when we get hit again the very idiots that voted for O will be sitting in their shit stained pants wondering why...hey idiots: security, strength and safety is the entire name of this game.

PG: you KNOW that I am on board to help in any way that I can!

KP

Republican have more pressing issues. Now we must find a way to lower ourselves to provide the exact same level of respect to Hussein O that the democrats, from the leadership of the house and senate down to the lowest pot smoker on the street showed to GWB, Chaney, McCain and Palin. So far I haven't found the dummie slime school they attended but will continue the search.

I see that the traitor Hanoi (Christmas in Cambodia) John Kerry wants to be Sec of State. Fitting job for someone who was/is a traitor to his country and has slimed the military for 35 years. Maybe he should be the Sec. of defense instead.

Liberal-republicans should be honest - call themselves what they are - democrats-lite - and join the democrat party where facade is required.

McCain is a superb American, a very good man - but the truth is -if not for Sarah Palin on the ticket - this would have been a "blow out" election for Obama.

BTW: Why was a CBS executive put in charge of Palin's campaign?!

Count me in too.
I am working on two practical strategies.
The first we can all do right away. I'm calling it BUY NOTHING.
Don't let "Obama" get away with imposing his Communism as a
way of ending the recession. Don't let the uninformed voters
who think this guy will save them have any chance of pulling
that off. Buy Nothing. Sure you need food, unless you're a farmer,
and fuel, but you don't need a new car, home improvements, a new
wardrobe, etc, etc, etc. Shut this thing down now. We are 50% of
the nation. Without us the workers of the world are a bunch of
cold guys huddling around small bonfires in the street. It's
easy and you can start today. I didn't buy a fawning newspaper
today, for the first time.
Secondly we need the Berg type lawsuits to find someone who has
the legal "standing" to let the challenge to "Obama"'s claim
to be eligible to be President to proceed through the Courts.
This boils down to finding someone with a non-abstract injury.
An excellent legal essay from americasright points out that
if "Obama" is not eligible to become President than he is not
the President - no matter what and as a result of that all laws
that he signs or international treaties that he ratifies are
null and void inside the USA. Suppose he ratifies some Kyoto
type carbon reduction treaty and American companies have to
spend megabucks to get into compliance with a treaty that
has no legal validity inside the USA. Voilla! There's your
standing. Lawyers and megabucks - shouldn't take too much to
hook them together, but it may take a while to find a Republican owned company willing to risk the publicity.

Pamela, your work is amazing. Thank you. The challenge for a new media company lies in finding distribution that is not owned by the 5 major global media owners (3 of which I know for certain, Soros, Bin Talal and Murdoch the other two I believe one is Italian and one Canadian). This is how they control the message for Obama's campaign. Content is not the key, distribution is. If your message doesn't fit the "mode", it won't be sent. We need to be very inventive and off the grid to accomplish anything. Though your details are right on, the overlying net is far stronger and more significant than you realize. Think like a covert operative and not a media junkie. When we can go back to the first days of online, we can weed out those who won't know what we're doing. Just a thought.

As you say, the battle is over, but the war is just beginning. There's no time to worry about those who don't understand. Those of us who understand liberty need to do what we can at this time of our nation's greatest need.

I'm with you Pamela (but, wow, I've got to earn a living too! I've been obsessed the last 90 days helping defeat Obama).

I want to be around people who will take the fight to the leftist freaks.

To wit:

- we need a competitor to the Associated Press.

- time to undermine traditional TV media...how 'bout some kind of Atlas Twitter thing where I can get news updates hourly on my cellphone? (but with a factual/non-lefty spin?). Then I wouldn't need the TV news turned on or be near a computer.

- concerted effort to massively CANCEL any and all lefty newspapers and rag-azines. Sink these people. We should never mention the word "media" without the word "biased" in front of it. Work on friends and families. Get a bumper sticker!

- grassroots effort to mobilize 2nd Amendment folks if the un-Fairness Doctrine is attempted (this is serious stuff folks....radical partriotism). Just the threat of something like this should put fear in the hearts of our legislators.

btw: I think Obama's "citizen's force" is to counter-act armed citizens. Think about that.

Let's roll.

I'm with you all the way, Pamela. You go girl!

Who would have standing in a Berg-type lawsuit?

John McCain
Ralph Nader
Bob Barr
Chuck Baldwin
Cynthia McKinney
Alan Keyes
Ron Paul
Gloria La Riva
Roger Calero
Brian Moore
Richard Duncan
James Harris
Charles Jay
John Joseph Polachek
Jeffrey Wamboldt
Frank McEnulty
Thomas Stevens
Gene Amondson
Jeffrey Boss
George Phillies
Ted Weill
Jonathan Allen
Bradford Lyttle

All candidates in the 2008 Presidential election.

Count me in.

Count me in. Charles Schumer is target 1.

PG: In (what I think was) the second of two vlogs you posted ~ 3 weeks or so back, you gave an excellent case for the total abject failure of the 'mainstream' media during this last election cycle, and your outline of the absolute necessity of point 2.

Could you provide a link to that here again?

I love AgBlonde's attitude above: a guerrilla movement needs to be instituted (if you've read the bestseller "Guerrilla Marketing" you'll know the strategy: best bang for buck).

I'm in No. VA (DC metro area). We should have a "director" in every part of the country. I'll help.

As a former liberal who has seen the light, we need to get to conservative basics. This is what people crave. Get rid of the demagoguery. Keep it simple: screw compassionate conservative. It should be "commonsense conservative."

Let's roll.

I'm in. It's the new media that will get this country on the right track. You are a leader!

I know there will be no one to hold Obama's campaign accountable for the fraud and illegality if we don't do it. I plan to continue digging into the records. Updates to come!

"Palin was a poor choice"?

----------
Palin was the ONLY reason I went to political rallies....three of them for her. Never been to one in my life.

Yeah, I know you're a troll.

btw, where's my free gas? mortgage payment? free Harvard tuition (like Barry; can I get an isslamofascist to pay for it?)?

Let's roll.

Kudos on all you did, Pamela,
It is not clear whether, even if McCain had followed your advice he would have won. sometimes the tide is just in the wrong direction.

However, there may be a silver lining in Obama's selection of Rahm Emanuel as chief of staff.
Emanuel is an Orthodox Jew and a hawk on Iraq and Israel, though liberal domestically.

He succeeded in his 2006 role to head the Democratic congressional campaign by selecting conservative candidates.

I recall his once, on a Saturday, having walked many miles in a pouring rain to attend the wedding of Tip O'Neil's daughter.

Can we permit ourselvs to think that Obama may be one of those rare people who can overcome his sordid past and grow?

A few more agenda items:

- photo IDs legislation for voting. If you can't get a free photo ID then you're too stupid to vote. Yeah, I'm saying it. Too stupid.

- time to re-vitalize term limit requirements for congresspeople. This is the only way to get rid of freaks like Murtha and Frank who rise to leadership positions solely due to longevity. I don't care if there are Repubes who do the same thing. Just like big government kills, so do big politicians (no matter the party).

- get rid of tenure at colleges .... we may not be able to say much about private colleges, but if they receive public money, GET RID OF TENURE. This is the ultimate socialist system....no accountability. NOT WITH MY TAX DOLLARS.

And I'm just getting warmed up. :)

Let's roll.

McCain was not a conservative. He couldn’t attack Obama because he respects Obama’s policies and principles. McCain buys the global warming hysteria. He was against drilling before he was for it. He was for amnesty before he was against it and until he's for it. He didn’t understand that regulations caused the housing market distortions. He backed the bailout.

He is the kind of guy I’d like to see in the loyal opposition: the Democratic Party of Scoop Jackson. I can respect him but I can’t get excited about him. I didn’t say this before the election because we had to defeat Obama. But let’s face facts now. We don’t need to compromise anymore. It’s time to rebuild the Republican Party. From the ashes of Gerald Ford’s defeat came the triumph of Ronald Reagan.

Now we fight for real. It's time to take the gloves off!

I'm with you!

My opinion is that Obama's "citizens' force" is for INTELLECTUAL control. Also, better get your new media operation together fast, since the "fairness dostrine" is surely coming soon.

Palin was an inspired choice. I admire McCain, but I do not think he was aware of what he was up against this time around.

Yet I live in hope that he will raise a stink when the reports come in to the fraud oversight hotline he set up. Can he get a recount at that point?

If anything, you've taught us to start helping ourselves more:

Found it here:
http://atlasshrugs2000.typepad.com/atlas_shrugs/2008/10/atlas-vlogs-uh.html

On Wednesday morning, I professed my plan to do everything I could to keep Obama's lies and deceit in the eyes and minds of everyone who bothers to stop by my little blog and help further the right candidates to take back our country in 2001 and was immediately attacked by the liberals and Koolaid drinkers to the point where I threw in the towel. I will gladly pick up the mantle again and do anything I can to support your effort, just let me know what I can do.
Gregor

Sorry, I meant 2012. I'm so ticked I can't even type any more!
Gregor

McCain's ran a bad campaign, no doubt about it. The people McCain surrounded himself with are slime. This is why McCain lost.

Sarah Palin was the shining light on the GOP side. McCain's made so many back-room deals on Capitol Hill he's forgotten who he really is. Disgusting.

I'm in. Let's get conservatism back into running the GOP.

Amen Pamela, and I'm with you!! HOWEVER, one of the first things we need to do, is to change our primary system AND NOT ALLOW ANY INDEPENDENTS TO VOTE IN THE PRIMARY!! It can be said that the I's picked our candidate, and we need to make sure that never happens again!!

Count me in for money, time, whatever I can help with, in whatever way I can be of use!

And let's not get too far ahead of ourselves - we need to be starting on a line up for 2010, not thinking about who we're running for POTUS in 2012 (Sarah Palin, if she even agrees.)

And maybe invite seewhite101 to leave? Why MUST we suffer such trolls? I say boot their dRat asses out ASAP. For some reason PDS just seems to force them to come out of the closet and "expose themselves".

Hey - there's an idea. Nobody can join in unless they first write 2 nice things about Sarah Palin as part of the "interview". That should weed out all the sleepers, astroturfers, trolls, faux-feminists, beltway-journalists, and RINOs...

I too, am interested in what we can do.

Dave M wrote: "The challenge for a new media company..."

I don't think she means a 'company' does she?

It's the MECHANISM that she's talking about - Using the internet (and I use that word broadly because the wirelessly wired world these days is bigger than just the internet) for the free exchange of ideas and instant communication. Showing people where the truth-river is to drink from, leading them there and building it up from a trickle to a torrent.
No good just building a network 'company'. Otherwise it'd just be known as another Fox, and the leftards would still ignore it.
No, Pamela's talking about something more organic.
The invention of the printing press was not a 'company'. It was open-source technology. And it blew the lid off the Catholic church's monopoly on truth and their iron grip of political power. Because people could for the first time read and own copy of the Bible written in their natural tongue, They didn't need a priest to interpret it for them any more, ergo, people realised they didnt need a priest for anything, least of all for divine intercesion.
That's what Pamela means.
But if you box the new communication network away in a 'company' it immediately defeats its own purpose and becomes a denominational target to be reviled and ignored by opposition, and you're back to square one again, instead of being a democratically accessible means of mass communication such as the 'cultural network' that was created in society right across 16th century Europe by people from all walks of life who suddenly had their own copies of the Bible in their own language. The MESSAGE of the Bible was the unifier, the printing press was the open source means of delivery.
Sure, you had to buy the books, and they weren't cheap, but the 'business model' by which these new printed Bibles were distributed had nothing to do with one single corporation controlling the whole thing and delivering access. Some people could only afford to own one page of printed scripture, pages were shared and swapped among the poor like baseball cards, and in that way the truth gradually permeated society, and it was enough to set their hearts ablaze with the truth and tear down the regime. The Catholic church was the 'company'. The printing press was the information superhighway. But corporatize it, and you kill it.

how can I help?

Sign me up. FountainheadZero.com is my blog. Whatever I can do to help.

I believe we should support Sue Myrick (R-NC). This is not a knock against Sarah Palin, but Representative Myrick has a lot more experience and has actually taken on Islamofacism. She also won re-election in the state where Elizabeth Dole was trounced.

Pamela, I absolutely agree with your take on things. McCain did a miserable job of defending the principles of the GOP; he was vacillating and indecisive, constantly figting with himself over his need to be universally loved and his desire to get elected President. No more "moderates," another name for "indecisive" and "weak." We only want to support real conservatives like Sarah Palin, people who have NO DOUBTS as to the rightness of our philosophy or our cause.

A pox on the McCain staffer-losers who are publishing this tabloid-trash to the leftwing media. They want to take the spotlight off of their own responsibility for the defeat by falsely sliming Palin. It won't work. These weak-kneed toadies have lost, they have failed the Party, their time in the spotlight is done.

Let's rebuild the Party into an election-winning, conservative organization, AS IT WAS INTENDED.

My question is how do we, the producers of the world, go on strike? Im not a Dagny Taggart or Hank Reardan with millions at my disposal. But I do think it is time to strike. Stop buying anything that isnt necessary. Is it time to stop investing? I know I am not real inclined to do so when I think some government stooge is going to figure out a way to take it all. Buy nothing new. Cancel (or dont renew) magazine and newspapers. Resign from trade groups. Keep the benefits of your brain, checkbook and abilities to yourself. How can we achieve this? Is it a pipe dream? Am I barking up the wrong tree? I would appreciate some thoughts on this.

Count me in. We need to start targeting 2010 races. Money and time for those canidates that support the true conservative movement, no matter what state they are in we can help them. But also start contactingg the RNC and let them know NO money or time unless they also start to reform themselves.

Here's one. Love that you cite the vlog as resource.

Me too! More later, gotta run out again.

This is the first election that has really gotten me fired up. I cried when Obama won, and they were not tears of joy.
As a 26 yr old recent graduate, I'm sickened by how uninformed young people are these days, how they just eat up whatever BS the media feeds them, how they have such unfounded HATRED for Bush and now Palin, and how they will tolerate ANYTHING except anything remotely conservative.
I had a idiot professor tell me yesterday that he didn't think I was the "republican type". I asked him what the republican type was. He answered, someone who is UNEDUCATED, religious fanatic, and other things, but I couldn't hear because after I heard uneducated I was already telling him off.
This election has motivated me to get involved. Pamela, I wish I could have been on the road with you before the election trying to get the word out.

I like Palin but don't discount Jindal for a run in 2012. He's accomplished more in 6 months as Governor of Louisiana than some politicians would do in their entire careers.

The lesson from this election is that Republicans must select leaders who believe in the principles of the party. And these leaders must be aggressive and willing to fight any battle. No more nice guy. No politeness. Politics is warfare and you fight with everything you have and need, excepting violence. If it needs you to be a "street fighter" in words and tactics, then so be it. Do not mind what the media will say. They are never on our side. So it will be no lost to us.

And the party faithful must ONLY support such persons. Any candidate that comes up short of this, DO NOT support him. If such a person appears, the faithful must even ATTACK and REMOVE him so that he does not get any power or control over the party. Yes, cannibalize the weak. They are not fit to lead the party. The last three presidential candidates, Dole, Bush and now McCain were all weak. See where we are now with Bush? There are bad consequencies for selecting weak leaders.

I foresaw the outcome of this election from the minute John McCain was selected. He did not have the fight in him. If he ever did have it, he lost it a long time ago. And he is not a believer in the principles of the party. McCain fought his own party members more than he did the Democrats. He quashed a mutiny within the party, a mutiny that was due to his lack of leadership in the face of defeat.

Jindal's great, but he better take notes on what happened to Palin. The MSM Cross hairs will be on him soon. They're going to try to take him out before he can even get started.

When McCain admonished his team by telling them that Obama is a good person and such, the game or battle at that point was over. That was a sure sign of surrender to the other side. Never allow our leader to get away with something like that. If you are going to say something good about the opponent, you imbed it into a crafty attack. Learn from Shakespeare's Julius Caesar. Mark Antony sarcastically praised Brutus before the crowd by calling him "an honourable man". But then he followed up with a crafty attack on that praise and turned the crowd against Brutus. That is politics. You do not unqualifiedly praise your opponent in the middle of a battle! For God sakes, that should be basic.

It seemed to me..that Carl Cameron..you know the one whose eyelids could use some more eyes painted on them. WAS gleeful in reporting all of this. He liked it. He has always been in the tank for Obama. And let the maniacs roar because in 2012, all they are saying now will be old stuff. Go Pamela I hope Sarah puts you on her campaign.

I am on Board - I believe that Barack Obama is Ellsworth Toohey (http://www.bigflushtoilet.com/2008/10/31/barack-obama-is-ellsworth-toohey/)

I believe there are some steps that the producers must take first - mainly create an underground economy. Obama will use or create a crisis where he and his subordinates will essentially say that our first and second amendment rights must be "curbed" for the "good of the many". The will then slowly boil the frog, we must be willing to go underground at the same rate that they destroy our freedoms and liberties. Yes, we must fight a full fledged war of ideas in the public square, but be ever ready to face the stark reality that a new civil war may be on the horizon.

David T. McKee
www.BigFlushToilet.com

Look, No disrespect but this talk of selecting leaders who believe in the principles of the party, purging the party or withholding support from the party is not just misplaced but delusional.
In fact party leaders strictly adhere to their party's principle: gettin elected. If it means looking the other way while the Constitution is trampled on, so be it.
Further, the idea that there are two parties is incorrect. There is a Democrat wing and a Republican wing of the national party. How the hell else do you explain Bush and McCain? Any evidence of conservatism in those two stumpets? Clearly not.
The Republican "party" has abandoned conservatives. Have you been watching the past eight years?
And with the country moving further to the left, look for a corresponding move by the Republican wing. And that move left will become more radical as time goes by because there are twenty million illegal aliens waiting in the wings for an amnesty that is sure to come. An amnesty that bush, McCain and the Republicans are committed to.
The only answer for us is a third party. And for those whose automatic response to that statement is something like, "well I'd rather back someone who actually has a chance at being elected' ie. a republican or democrat, well, isn't that the mentality that has prevented rank and file Americans from true representation at the national level? Isn't that what conservatives inevitably mutter when they shuffle off to vote for this or that republican career politician?
Pretending elected elites have our best interests at heart when they show us time and again that they don't is suicide.
Third party is our only hope.
Look what Geert Wilders has one? And isn't his party a third party?
Do we deserve less?

Count me in.

The back stabbing blame game needs to stop. The only way for Republicans to take the country back is to become unified. The left set out to destroy the Republican party years ago. They thought we were down and out in 1992. They believed we were down and out in 1996. The party made a come back in 2000. The last two election cycles were lost for one reason. The Party establishment forgot their ideals. Career politicians became corrupt with power. In 2006 the election turned on lobbying scandals. In 2008 the election was decided on the economy. McCain should have been strong and used Obama's allies against him. We need someone that will point out the differences between the party. Socialism is not where the country wishes to go.

We need to setup and link to each others blogs. The Republican party needs to return to its principles and have an agenda. The contract with America was a start in 1994. We need a new contract that gives America back to the people.

Woot!

Just convinced a business acquaintance and McCain voter to switch from WashPoo to Washington TIMES.

Told her what a GREAT FEELING it was to unleash myself from this anti-American RAG.

What you need to know: it never occurred to her to cancel her paper....we're all so used to it and just don't think that we have a CHOICE. Well we do.

So work on your own friends and family: sink the WashPoo, NY Slimes, LAT, and Chicago Trib.

DIE DIE DIE flatline media!

And have a nice day. :)

Pamela and Atlas fans- Bravo on your blog today...yep, yep, yep all the way through! IMHO, just like BO has his "Rules for Radicals" we too have a model. I believe the Goldwater-Reagan model is worthy of pursuit. Goldwater was too libertarian, ultimately so throw that part out. But Levin played this speech of Reagans from 1964 that all should give a listen to.

http://www.americanrhetoric.com/speeches/ronaldreaganatimeforchoosing.htm

In this speech, Reagan sounds and looks intense....He speaks clearly and uses warfare metaphors for political "change". His approach is right! This is a war folks! We have to fight to purge the GOP as if it really matters....

Ayn Rand at 100: "Yours is the Glory"

  • Speaking to the unnamed, unchampioned, beating heart of her new land, Ayn was to say: 'Yours is the glory.'"
A man whose ability and independence leads others to reject him, but who perseveres nevertheless to achieve his values. Man as an individual, as a creator. What's the most depraved type of human being? Not a sadist or a murderer or a sex maniac or a dictator; "The man without a purpose." Yet most people seem to go through their lives without a clearly defined purpose.

    All beautiful and splendid things,
Blue waves whitened on a cliff,
Soaring fires that sways and swing,

    Life has Loveliness to sell,
Music like a curve of Gold,
Scent of pinetrees in the rain,
Eyes that love you, arms that hold,
And for your spirit's still delight,
Holy stars that star the night.

Spend all you have for loveliness,
    Buy it and never count the cost;

And for a breath of ecstasy
