"For nine months, I kept quiet," Nation of Islam Minister Louis Farrakhan said today at Mosque Maryam in Chicago, "because I saw that the good words that I spoke about this beautiful young man" -- President-elect Obama -- "at our Saviours' Day convention and the way they were misused. I decided it would be better for me to just be quiet rather than be drawn into the controversy that was swirling around his pastor, Father Pfleger, and others."

"I feel freer today to say the things that are in my heart," said the controversial religious leader.

Over at the Daily Norhtwestern: Ayers, Wright meet at Friday speech

Northwestern offered Wright an honorary doctorate of sacred theology last year. University President Henry Bienen rescinded the offer after a number of Wright's statements during sermons at Trinity United Church of Christ on Chicago's South Side drew negative attention.

In an interview Thursday, Bienen said he would miss Wright's speech due to prior commitments but intended to meet the pastor at a VIP event before the speech. University spokesman Al Cubbage confirmed the two met Friday.

Sick.

In inviting Wright to speak on campus, FMO coordinator Zachary Parker said he hoped to "de-mystify stereotypes" surrounding Wright and his controversial remarks. He said inviting Ayers was "only fitting" because the media treated the two figures similarly.

In the 1960s, Ayers and his wife, Bernadine Dohrn, participated in the Weather Underground, an anti-Vietnam War group that bombed several government buildings, including the Pentagon and the U.S. Capitol. Dohrn is a professor in NU's School of Law.

After Friday night's event, Ayers had harsh words for the administration. He said Bienen made a "critical, critical decision" in uninviting Wright from commencement.

"What possible reason could they have except pressure by alumni, pressure by others?" Ayers said. "It's freedom of speech, freedom of thought. Without that, academics is dead."

He said he felt a "huge connection" to Wright.

That's rich. The hard left invoking freedom of speech (to kill freedom of speech).

What I can almost certainly predict is that Ayers will re emerge as his little wounded ego will call him upon to do so once the "One" will complete the self cleansing and betray all his former king makers.

Double jeopardy is the issue here. He can no longer be tried for the same crime(s).

However, information may emerge in the coming years about what extent was the WUO under KGB support.

Life can also be made very difficult for Ayers if the controversy persists. Pursuing his former comrades may be the best option, then who knows someone will squeal for money, fame or for fear.

I saw that guy on TV, not sure if it is the same informant who made the tape about the 25 million Americans to be killed.

The other guy was on O'Rielly talking about the plans to blow up a Police station next to a restaurant.

Bill asked him why he wasn't called to testify in the trial when Ayers was acquitted due to illegal wire tapping of his gang.

I m no lawyer but if he were to file a deposition/ affadivit under oath, he may get somewhere.

I still recommend going after other WUO members as Ayers will be managed by the Obama white house that I assure you..... Vince Foster anyone ?

William Ayres emerged from his pre-election seclusion to appear on Good Morning America today. Strangely enough the producers of the show felt that all of the controversy surrounding the relationship between Obama and Ayres didn’t warrant any investigation or interview, but the release of a new collection of lies and anti-American propaganda penned by Ayres did. Is there any thinking American left who cannot see the insidious nature of the press and their sycophantic coverage of their chosen candidate? Make no mistake; the media hoisted this fool on the nation through their lies, omissions, and distortions and they should be held responsible for the disaster that is unquestionably headed our way.
Never did we see a serious examination of Obama, his policies, past relations, or a questioning of his paper thin resume...
