usually i address my comments to our hostess at this wonderful blog. sometimes to the readers of these comment threads, as now.

i have always turned to this blog for enlightenment on the issues of the day, seldom to other blogs. one of the reasons, amongst many, is the continuing emphasis to be found here upon the beautiful, in an aesthetic and artistic sense. i love the sensibility of pamela geller in this regard, and really enjoy her views on art, music, the humanities, and upon the grace and beauty of humans in their creative impulse.

many of you might view this as something of a diversion from the events of the day. a way of turning aside from the ugly and grotesque which confronts us all daily in this world.

in this view you would be mistaken.

this aesthetic sense, this sensibility, as exhibited here at atlasshrugs is the absolute bedrock of our moral and esthetic view of the world, the underpinning of those bundles of values and views which comprise western civilization, and western religions, and western philosophies, e.g., these sensibility as the well springs of what we call "good." they are the common thread, the harmony line if you will, of the music and truth we use to construct our world, and by which we comprehend it.

all philosophy, all religion, all culture which deserves the name, is premised upon this harmonizing of beauty and good and truth. you find this far fetched.--

look into the face of a two year old child as it looks to its mother for reassurance, or as that child grins in appreciation for praise, or as that child basks in the love of a kind parent. if you do not see truth, beauty and good there, you are missing something.

look into the face of the monster, the killing machine, in the link to the blog jewishodysseus. if you do not see in the hate in that face the antithesis of truth, beauty and truth, ... , why truly you are missing something, something very much akin to missing a moral compass.

so, i will continue to come to this blog, and sing the praises of its creator, architect and proprietor, ... , so long as this threads which extol beauty, and truth and love, and the harmony of the same as a foundation to civilization, run at this blog.

they are truly unique, truly singular, and truly reflective of the sould and sensibility of the woman who creates this for us, each day.

p.s. in short, you have before you in these threads, not mere indulgence in the "pretty," but the workings of a rigorous, disclipined and very directed intellect, who advances the value of western civilization and religious values by the indefatigable promotion of its core foundations, e.g., truth, beauty and love. i guess i don't have to say any more on the subject. laughing.

was hoping for that israel footage to kick in...meaning the people, the IDF etc...

the editor, in my opinion, needs to lose the flag thing at the end, "pali" flag? what a drag.

and 'thou shal not kill'...is more accurately tranlsated thou shall not murder. because it also says if someone is coming to kill you, kill them first. uh, it doesn't say, if someone is coming to kill you, see how you can dialogue, appease and give them things!

john williams is a brilliant composer. and yitzhak is a pearl-man. in a wheel chair...once (at least) i heard that a string broke on his violin but he finished the concert anyway with alternate fingerings. this is pure genius.

i find that behind the wit and style of atlasshrugs, inimitable in clarity, zeal and pointedness, ... , lies a very cohesive philosophy and world view. there is a perceptual vantage point of the host's comments, and a clearly thought out and desired intellectual destination, in everything she does.

atlasshrugs is a great blog. jihadwatch is a great blog, an absolute bulwark in the fight against the jihad, and those who would dictate the content of conservative thought and association. (i do not have much use for charles johnson, either.) as is, needless to say, a.shrugs.

it is a pleasure to read both, ... , but i come here, most often and most consistently: i am only an infrequent visitor to other sites. i enjoy so much pamela geller's committment to the battle. her zest in the fight. her willingness to fight the good fight from whatever corner it approaches, at whatever cost. her willingness to strap on the armor and gird her loins for battle every morning: she is tireless. and, when she bites an adversary on the rear, they stay bitten, and they treat the tattered shreds of their butts for months.

No jokes tonight.
First of all, I don't feel funny tonight. I feel more like crying than laughing. When I'm not feeling more like screaming than talking.
The cold hearted; dastardly; severely evil Muslim bastards, who committed this massacre in India, have caused me to become fairly melancholy. They brutally murdered completely innocent, and unarmed people, and I'm sure that they are very proud of themselves.
And then there is this lunatic in London named Choudary, who said. " The attacks were revenge for the Wests crusades against Islam." Think about that. The last crusade to the Middle East was seven hundred, and thirty six years ago, and this guy is still bitching about it. Also. Were the Jews, and the Hindus in on the Crusades? I think not.
Then there is this other moron, Deepak Chopra, who believes, "Washington" was responsible for the attacks in Mumbai. Ya. And George Bush was the mastermind.
There is this from The Herold Sun:
"One of the gunmen holed up in the Trident hotel told the India TV channel by phone on Thursday that the little-known terror outfit wanted an end to the persecution of Indian Muslims and the release of all fellow Islamic militants detained in India."
Now the only person that this would make sense to, would be a genuinely stupid terrorist. Because you know the best way to get people to like you is by trying to murder several hundred innocent, unarmed people.
My second reason for not posting any jokes is; I'm not an idiot. I'm not about to try to be funny on a Jewish woman's Blog when harmless, peaceful Jews are being killed on the other side of the world, just for fun.

thanks for all your great work. many of us know about you through pamela geller, the truth teller.

in case you read this, i have a question.

i find that increasingly, people whom i've known for years have no idea nor tolerance for my point of view as a religious minded jew. their 'pc' obsession disables them from any clarity. if i try to give them history, torah etc they easily dismiss it saying "all religions have their point of view".

worse, they view me as some single minded extremist who won't tolerate 'difference'.

you have written extensively about the narrowness and hate within islam. how can people like me handle those close to us, friends and family, who not only refuse to see truth but condemn any attempt as propaganda... the ultimate 'pc' delusion.
