IT DEFIES LOGIC. North Korea deployed more than 10 missiles on its west coast apparently for an imminent test launch, a South Korean newspaper said on Thursday, and Pyongyang halted U.N. monitoring of its nuclear complex. The United Nations nuclear agency says North Korea has completely banned its inspectors from the country's main Yongbyon nuclear complex (more here)

The result? The US backs down and panders to the brutal warden of a 30 million person gulag who sells nuke weapons to Islamic rogue regimes and their terrorist proxies. We will remove North Korea from the terror list. The details of the “verification protocol” are still unclear. Now that's pathetic.

The only thing at work in diminishing our standing in the world is our own self debasement. Surrender after surrender, apologizing for what. Our greatness? Groveling to who? Two bit tin pot brutal savage dictators. Truman is weeping. This is a tragedy.

The failing North Korean nuclear deal appears to have been saved from collapse after the United States agreed to remove the isolated dictatorship from its list of terrorist states.

But the move has alienated the government of Japan, which opposes such concessions until Pyongyang has told the truth about Japanese citizens which it abducted during the Cold War.

The fragile agreement on North Korean nuclear disarmament, finally agreed last year after four years of tortuous negotiation, had appeared to be in danger after North Korea threatened to reactivate the plutonium reactor where it has generated the material for an unknown number of nuclear warheads.

Maryland State Police classified 53 nonviolent activists as terrorists and entered their names and personal information into state and federal databases that track terrorism suspects, the state police chief acknowledged yesterday.

Police Superintendent Terrence B. Sheridan revealed at a legislative hearing that the surveillance operation, which targeted opponents of the death penalty and the Iraq war, was far more extensive than was known when its existence was disclosed in July.

the Senate Judicial Proceedings Committee was told that the names do not belong in there and we agree.

Sheridan said protest groups were also entered as terrorist organizations in the databases, but his staff has not identified which ones.
