Atlas had The Obama Childrens Book , illustrations show rainbows, sunbeams & an aura around Nobama. Rainbows and moonbeams - got that?
Then the Goosestepping Kids for Obama - a school project. And don't forget Obama's admonishment to his supporters to GET IN THEIR FACES!
And now Kids Parades for Obama - this is grassroots? The grassroots of Obama's role model Alinsky's Rules for Radicals (his final work, published in 1971 one year before his death),where he addressed the 1960s generation of radicals, outlining his views on organizing for mass power. He coined the term "Think globally, act locally." Perfect.
On Sunday, October 12, Washington State kids and families will parade around Seattle's Green Lake. "Kids for Obama Parade" will illustrate one of Barack Obama's core beliefs: Everyone's voice counts. Join us as Obama's youngest supporters rally their families and call for change, for a better America. At 2 pm, rain or shine, children and teens will express with words and drawings their hopes for the future of America on "wish flags" that will be mailed to Obama. The first 300 kids will be given a helium balloon, an expression of solidarity. At 3 pm, the "Kids for Obama Parade" will skip, toddle, stroller, rollerblade, pedal, and red-wagon clockwise around Green Lake in a cloud of red, white, and blue balloons and a garland of kid-made wish flags. How to prepare? If possible, bring home-made signs and wear red, white, and/or blue clothing. That goes for moms, dads, big brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, grandparents too. Please spread the word.

UPDATE: Obama's organizing fellows: "Help us revive our democracy". I had no idea it needed resuscitating though I suspect it will be DOA after an Obama seizes power. Slimguy dug up this commie tool:
Introducing the Obama Organizing Fellows
Please note that the campaign is NO LONGER ACCEPTING Obama Fellow Applications. The deadline for submission has now passed.
Thank you to all those who applied. You will be hearing from us by June 2nd regarding the final status of your application.
This summer we are looking for students and recent graduates who want to be a part of a new generation of leadership that believes, like Senator Obama, that real change comes from the ground up.
Fellows will be trained on the basics of organizing & campaign fundamentals and then placed in a community to carry out grassroots activities. Fellows will be asked to commit to a minimum of 30 hours per week and will:
- participate in training on field organizing, messaging, and other activities
- organize in a community, working in conjunction with grassroots leaders and campaign staff
- continue to build the movement
The deadline for submission has now passed.
