GOOGLE AND OBAMA - YES, THE STATE CAN!
Googvle CEO publicly crosses the over into the darkside. You thought Bush a badster for spying on savage Islamic killers? HA! Privacy issues - Obama and Google. YIKES!
Expect the fairness doctrine to be passed with little fanfare forever altering the talk radio landscape.
Expect blogs like this to be labeld "hate speech".
We know what a leftwing whore is Google the refused to cooperate in counter jihad efforts but sold out freedom fighters in China (here). They happily allied themselves with terror machines, block blogs in China, kowtowing to censorship, and block anti-Obama blogs.
Atlas reader techgirl sent this and lamented, "I just found out that Google's CEO has officially endorsed Obama. As someone who works at a very large software company myself, this news makes me shudder. It has Fascism written all over it and further solidifies my belief that Obama will hijack the internet itself if allowed to come to power. Please take a look at this article..people need to know what Google is about, espeically people in the tech industry. Its already really bad for us conservatives in high tech -- kinda like Hollywood, which is why I keep my identity relatively secret. I don't think I could lose a job over it, but I don't trust that it couldn't happen, especially in the future."
Here's the article over at The Gadfly:
As a long time employee at a very large software company, this news gave me more than pause. PEOPLE MUST know about the dangerous territory into which Obama will lead this nation. I can't imagine what I'd do if my company started working for the government. But it could happen, especially if the economy tanks to such an extent that only a deal with the devil will ensure survival AND especially since Obama plans to increasingly involve areas of the private sector in government, for government.
So the main - but largely ignored - news is that Google's CEO, Eric Schmidt, has announced that he is endorsing Obama for president.
Schmidt will appear Tuesday with Obama in the tightly contested state of Florida to talk about the economy. Although Schmidt announced his backing of Obama in Monday's Wall Street Journal, he has been advising the campaign on technology and clean-energy issues for most of the summer.

More on Google: Eeeeeeeeeeevil tool

I am in disbelief that the CEO of Google and Obama could manipulate the internet. From what I am reading I believe it can happen. This is very scary! We all need to vote and vote wisely (McCain).

Don't forget the Canadian style "Human Rights" commissions! Free speech is gone! It's hard to believe America is voting this in!

I have linked to your post from Jeremiah Films' BlogWatch: Fairness doctrine
We do not need to look hard to see where this will lead ...
In Canada parts of the bible are considered hate speech; take Pastor Stephen Boissoin for example.

Surprise, surprise. Schmidt is backing Obama. That isn't news. Eric has always been a left-wing goon and I'm surprised that he hasn't backed Obama before now.
Look...Google is just a search engine, not the internet. It is a fact that most people that get their (internet) news is not from Yahoo, Google, Dogpile search engines, but from familiarity of news websites such as Drudge, CNN, Fox, MSNBC etc. They don't type in google to search for fox news - they just type in foxnews.com.
As the owner of a conservative website, I'm not nervous about what Google is going to do to me. They can throw me off their search engine for all I care...there are other ways of getting my website's name out there. One way is by joining a conservative webring - which basically unites conservative sites. Another way is establishing backlinks to other sites. Then there are other ways that I do not recommend that is not illegal, but unethical - it's called black hat SEO (Search Engine Optimization). I would never use this type of practice unless Obama himself banned conservative websites...but I really don't see that happening.
Then again - if he gets in and signs the "fairness doctrine" - who knows where that can lead after they try to muzzle Rush.
I do apologize in getting a little technical. Again, I'm not afraid of what Google will do, but I am pretty nervous of what the fairness doctrine can do to free speach. Believe me, the Dems will try to pass that law probably starting next year. And the Libs call us the Nazis???
