My newly acquired PUMA friends (post COLB) say it's a done deal. Obama will replace Biden with Hillary. I cannot verify but I am passing on this white hot story and I would be remiss if I didn't share this meme with you.
Palin sunk the plant. It is a life saving measure although I cannot imagine it will sit well with the American people. The plant will do anything, say anything, be anything to seize the most powerful position in the world. He has no loyalties, ethics, morals, or principles. Manchurian.
Biden clearly tipped us off when he said "I have a lifetime of experience. Sen. McCain has a lifetime of experience. Senator Obama has a speech he delivered in 2002.
Biden's unwillingness to defend America and his 9,000 votes will be of little loss.
I expect Biden would withdraw and Obama will plead with him to stay -- Biden will complain of health related problems.Although I don't know why Hillary would take it at this point - she is better positioned for 2012 by staying off the loser ticket. It's not particularly attractive to be sloppy seconds - I wouldn't take it.
Obama Naming Hillary VP (Campaign Victory 2008)
We have received information from sources high in the Democratic Party that, in a cynical, desperation move, Hillary Rodham Clinton will replace the hapless Joe Biden as V-P candidate on the Obama ticket. I will send out more information on this within the next hour. Hillary Clinton has said that Barack H. Obama is not qualified to be Commander-in-Chief. He hasn't grown any more qualified presumably in the past few weeks. As the saying now goes, "It took a Republican woman [Sarah Palin] to have the Obama Dems name a woman to the ticket."
"Stand up! Stand up! And fight for what's right" (John McCain)
UPDATE: Just for knowing, IT IS BEING ROUNDLY DENIED. So is he unhappily stuck?

I don't buy it. Everyone would see through the facade and it would turn the Democrat Presidential Campaign into a schoolyard game where kids pick different teams everyday.
But for argument's sake, let's say that Obama were to make this offer to Hillary Clinton. I don't think she'd accept it. It's clear that his campaign is going down in flames. So why would she want to prop up his campaign. If they were to win, they'd likely be tossed out in 2012, with her discredited along with him.
A more likely scenario I see is Palin-Jindal vs. Clinton-??? in 2012.

I would not doubt it one bit and yes that was very weird what Biden said . Did sound as if he was setting the stage. No I dont put nothing past these dirty thugs. I dearely hope Hillary has more self respect than to do it though.

The thought that this might happen occurred to me in the last week or two. It also seems to be reinforced by Biden saying that Hillary would be a better VP than him. What a joke this would be, and it would probably be hailed by many in the media as a "bold & daring" move that took real leadership and guts.

If he drops out for "medical" reasons how will he justify his reelection to the Senate this year?

Even though Obama just sat down for a big pow wow with Bill many discussion boards that have looked at this say the negative outweigh the positives from the Dems own standpoint.
The only thing Hill would likely accept is for Obama to step aside and that would kill the black vote. Putting Hill on the ticket would be an insult to injury pour salt in the wounds pander and the women would be even more upset than they are now.
No if any switch is made from next to no support Joe look for his stand in for debate preparation against Palin.
If they are going to switch out they will do the halfway effort of picking Granholm and try to satisfy everybody but end up satisfying none.

I agree with SlimGuy, Hillary would only take it at this point if Obama let her have top spot, which he isn't going to do. She'd be better off waiting four years and accomplishing something in the senate and let Obama burn out in November.
BTW, Biden didn't say that quote about Obama "only bringing a speech he made in 2002", Hillary did, in one of the earliest Democratic "debates". She was telling the truth then, and the Democrats didn't want to hear it. Of course, the only thing she brought to the table was her gender and the ability to dodge the law for years protecting her adulterous husband. She has authored less than Obama in the Senate, and she's on her second term. New York must be FULL of idiots to elect people like her and Chuck Schumer.

Joe hasn't been saying the politically neutral stuff this whole campaign. Remember his comments during the YouTube debate about the guy clinging to his gun and calling it his 'baby'.
Nah Joe I think may be close to retirement and in a lot of ways I think all the Dems knew Obama was going to lose this thing and Joe just drew the short straw to take the spot as a near retirement solid seat that would get a lot of blow back in a loss compared to an earlier career damaging move for some others.
Look how many others walked away from the VP slot that normally would leave golf shoe tracks up each others backs to get there on any other election.

Granholm is a non starter because she was born in Canada but he may try to switch to one of the eligible female governors to try to match up to Palin.
All that may be moot with how much blow back is going to happen over the ad about Mc and emails.
That should hurt him big time.
