In the new poll, taken Friday through Sunday, McCain leads Obama by 54%-44% among those seen as most likely to vote. The survey of 1,022 adults, including 959 registered voters, has a margin of error of +/— 3 points for both samples. (more here)

MSNBC Takes Incendiary Hosts From Anchor Seat NY Times
David Gregory will be the sole anchor of MSNBC’s coverage of the presidential debates and election night.
MSNBC tried a bold experiment this year by putting two politically incendiary hosts [aka asshats] Keith Olbermann and Chris Matthews, in the anchor chair to lead the cable news channel’s coverage of the election. That experiment appears to be over.
UPDATE: Gregory? Replacing Tweedle dee with Tweedle dum
One of my favorite moments of the RNC, is when the crowd began to boo chant NBC! NBC!
I am not a member of the permanent political establishment. When you're not a member in good standing the media doesn't like that.
Crowd boos at the word of media! STARTS CHANTING NBC! NBC! NBC! - frickin hysterical!

Seems there may be a good reason to fire the "odd couple".
Ed and Mitch at Hot Air interviewed Doug, a volunteer driver who worked for the Republican National Convention Committee in St. Paul. The summary ...

That's a ten point bounce. Obama got an eight point bounce that fell to six points the next day and was even again by Thursday.
Barry just cannot close the deal and looks like a fool trying.

friends:
it ain't over until the fat lady sings.
we will know when the polls close and the votes are counted.
in the mean time, i would suggest supporting conservative candidates with monetary contributions to key campaigns, and any volunteer labor especially in key states for which a person has time.
in the last round of congressional elections, the democrats took control of congress decisively by beating republicans the length and breadth of the ohio river valley, quite literally in the house of representatives in cities on the river, and in pennsylvania and ohio generally. those states, and florida, texas, california, new york and other states afflicted by the loss of american heavy industry will prove crucial in this presidential election, both for control of the white house and of congress.
if you can spare the time and the expense, and if your partisan streak runs to the republican, please contact republican central committees in the rust belt and the south, and aim a little money their way for the presidential and congresssional races.
it is far to early to be counting on polls as an sort of reliable indicator let alone the guarantee of an election result. for right now, run hard, run scared, and spend like your political futures depended upon it. spend and work, and above all, vote.
please.

Olberman looked like someone kicked him in the guts following Sarah Palin's speech. Campbell Brown was pleading guests to say something, anything, to make her feel better. If you watch any playbacks, look at her eyes, they are begging. It was unreal. Amazing. How deeply committed are they? I don't think things are going to get any better for them.

Sarah Palin's speech... wonderful! Watching the long looks on the faces of the openly partisan media while they were being eviscerated... priceless!!

Hello Pamela and All
Palin was picked VP to help McCain get the women vote, the religious vote, the catholic vote and the parents of disabled kids vote. Another reason why Palin was picked is because McCain is not going to attack hussein obama on his record or his true religion, islam, which Palin will attack hussein obama on. But the main reason is to blind this country to vote McCain/Palin so the North American Union can come about in 2010. Just like what happened in 2000 and 2004 when people voted for Bush/Cheney, because they did not want Gore then Kerry. But who helped get the North American Union started in 2005? George Bush.
