No truth to the rape kit lie. Doesn't really matter. They just make the shit up. There has never been a candidate as dirty as Obama and still the media deliberately obfuscates and lies by omission.
PALIN RAPE KIT CIRCUS CONTINUES Confederate Yankee
Testifying in front of a state legislative committee in 2000, Alakasan sexual assault victim's advocates and the Deputy Commissioner of the Alaska Department of Public Safety stated that they were unaware of ANY police departments in Alaska billing sexual assault victims for rape kits, and in the few instances that victims were bill, it seems the hospitals were to blame. Furthermore, there are state agencies to help pay for the medical costs of the victims of violent crime.
Wasilla's Police cheif reiterated this PM that there are no police department records indicating that they ever bill anyone for rape kits, and the only other City agency that would possibly have evidence that they did purges their records that are more than six years old.
The entire media argument hinges on a single article quoting a former police chief, a man now who refuses to speak to the media.
When you can't find additional evidence supporting a single-sourced story and that source clams up, and there seems to be expert testimony doubting it, shouldn't a responsible media consider a retraction?

Alexandra Pelosi used it as a talking point on a network news appearance recently. So the question is: Who or What is her source? Does she still believe this? If so, why? If not, will she apologize? Etc.

From all I am piecing together from the blogs on this and other sources this is starting to look like the Dem party up there was requested to provide a list of attack points for the Obama camp and the incompetents threw them a list of stuff that couldn't stand up to the scrutiny of the light of day in the process.
Then the Obama campaign turned around and released it to their loyal media supporters who ran the stories that the Obama camp vouched for without doing any checking on their own.
At a minimum a lot of retractions/corrections seem to be in order and some letters of apology to Ms Palin , no matter how bad it reflects back on the Obama campaign.
Anything less and the integrity claims of the individual press outlets involved is definitely compromised.
