To the Best of Obama's Ability

Obama said he would gather the best and  brightest, the best and the brightest what? Fixers and creative racketeering accountants?

The campaign is required by LAW to collect employer/occupation information from donors.  That might help in that annoying requirement to verify that a donor is actually legitimate.

The Obama for America campaign wrote a letter to the FEC back in October of 2007 stating that they trying their best!  See the letter.

In the meantime, they have submitted over 25,000 individual donations that do not include that individual’s employer.  There is no record of a report supplying the employer names in follow up compliance required by law.  They’ll try harder next time.
