How great is this? The National Black Republican Association is running 50 billboards across lunatic central - Denver, host to the DNC.  How many people know Martin Luther King was a Republican?  Or that the Republican party was the party of the abolition of slavery?  Or that the Republicans were the party of civil rights? Check out some of these leading lights of the GOP through American history.

We have put up more than 50 Martin Luther King Was A Republican billboards in Denver, Colorado to welcome Senator Barack Obama to the Democratic National Convention!

They are a reminder -- Obama is no MLK.

UPDATE: RACIST DEMOCRATS: Rep. Jones calls black Hillary Supporter "Uncle Tom"

DENVER - A black delegate for Hillary Rodham Clinton says she was called an "Uncle Tom" by Illinois Senate President Emil Jones, one of Barack Obama's political mentors.

Chicago political consultant Delmarie Cobb says Jones made the remarks Saturday night while discussing her support for Clinton. She called the remark "fighting words" and unacceptable.

it is strange how Dems don't associate themselves with Republicans unless the dems can get something out of it..I am sadden to think that Obama is playing more on MR.KING's
race than playing or acting more to King's REAL CALL TO UNITY and forgiveness...whereas Obama wants to play wealthy against "poor": whites against blacks political parties against each other...yes so much for his UNITY message...

Even the educated blacks don't know who tried to keep them in slavery or who fought to give them voting rights. So much for real history. So many lies have been told as cover for the slavery supporting democrats it's became pitiful. Republicans freed the slaves and republicans got them the right to vote. Now the democrats have figured out another way to keep the blacks in slavery. They call it welfare with no hope of breaking the cycle as long as one democrat remains in congress.

One similarity is that Martin Luther King Jr. was somewhat of a conman with his doctoral thesis plagiarism and everything, and Obama is a conman too with his fake birth certificate. However one big difference, although I don't know how relevant since I'm an athiest, is that MLK was raised a Christian and Obama was raised a Muslim.

That is briliant. Why more AA's aren't Republican is beyond me. I was very disappointed recently to have one of my favorite Gen Y mentees tell me that she was going with BO. She had been quite a bit to the right of me. So, to many individuals including whites, it is all about race.
