By g-d, it shocks me that this socialist pablum is still being sold to an unsuspecting public. Sucking at the teet of the state, that's all the Democrats know. Failed. Communism. Failed. Socialism failed. Just look to their idols across the pond. Europe failed.
Internationalism and multi-lateralism - the very failed policy of Condi and Bush 2 is being trotted out, yet again. It's why we are in the pickle we are in - in Iran and Georgia.
Cliton: Our position in the world has been weakened by too much unilateralism and too little cooperation; a perilous dependence on imported oil; a refusal to lead on global warming; a growing indebtedness and a dependence on foreign lenders; a severely burdened military; a backsliding on global non-proliferation and arms control agreements; and a failure to consistently use the power of diplomacy, from the Middle East to Africa to Latin America to Central and Eastern Europe.
It's all we've been doing with the damn EU, the perm 5, and UNSC. Bloody bullshit.
He will work for an America with more partners and fewer adversaries. He will rebuild our frayed alliances and revitalize the international institutions which help to share the costs of the world’s problems and to leverage our power and influence. He will put us back in the forefront of the world’s fight to reduce nuclear, chemical, and biological weapons and to stop global warming.
Show me one war won by appeasement. Oybambi is going to get the barbarians to throw their nukes away? Put down the bong.
He will continue and enhance our nation’s global leadership in an area in which I am deeply involved, the fight against AIDS, TB and malaria, including a renewal of the battle against HIV/AIDS here at home.
Uh, Bush did that. "President Bush's sense of mission to improve the lives of the people of the Middle East has attracted so much attention that the Wall Street Journal called him "Bush of Arabia" the other day over an article by Fouad Ajami. Less widely appreciated are Mr. Bush's achievements in Africa, which are worth marking as the president embarks today on a visit that is scheduled to include trips to Benin, Tanzania, Rwanda, Ghana, and Liberia. Mr. Bush has committed $15 billion to fight AIDS and HIV in Africa, and the result is that the number of Africans benefiting from anti-retroviral drugs has soared to 1.3 million today from 50,000 a few years ago. A similar effort is under way to fight malaria, with similarly promising results." Read Bush of Africa here
He spoke a having a strong defense. Ha! Who did more to decimate our defense and armed forces?
