I am listening to the fallacious argument Obama is making his latest pitch. Invoking the Marshall Plan, calling on the courage (as if!) to rebuild the world.
Particularly galling was his Monday morning quarterbacking on post 911 - we weren't muscular enough!
On leaving Iraq (talking defeatism).
"We are not going to kill ever Al Qaeeda sympathizer, any Iranian influence"
Iraq is not a central front on the war on terror. How does this man make that deduction? He hasn't even been to Iraq.
"True success in Iraq" is when we leave. Success = defeat in Obamaland. How can this man plan for victory when he even doesn't know what it means?
He wants to take the war to Pakistan. Whether this demagogue likes it or not, Pakistan works with us. It might be a dirty friendship but Musharaf works with us nonetheless. Saddam was an unequivocal enemy. Pakistan was not behind 911 (the argument he makes against Iraq). No blank checks but wants to triple humanitarian aid to Pakistan. Fight 'em and fund 'em!
This is a war we have to win. He wants to redeploy to Afghanistan - does he think he want get bogged down in Afghanistan?
He laments the monies we are spending to help build Iraq but he wants to give another 1 billion dollars a year to Afghanistan. He wants to rebuild Afghanistan. "We cannot tolerate a terrorist sanctuary! [in Afghanistan]. But not in Iraq? I am confused.
Whether he likes it or not, we need a presence in the hotbed of head
Proposing withdrawal all troops in 2010 - Attention Al Qaeda and Islamic jihad, set your watches
He is going to rid the world of nuclear weapons! but not with threats, oh no. he is going to work with Russia. Didn't Bush look into Putin's soul and work with it?
No tool of statecraft should be table off the table concerning Iran's nukes. he will use all elements of American power, first and foremost WITHOUT PRECONDITIONS - that favored of all Obamabi tools - the oxyObamoran - "aggressive diplomacy".
Obama insists Iran give up its nuclear weapons, it's support of terror and its threats to Israel.
If you refuse to abandon [your nuclear plans] we will ratchet up the pressure with stronger sanctions!" How original! How scawy!
As strong America is, she is strongest she she stands with her [spineless] allies. Here he goes on his one worlder nonsense.
Talking about a "more perfect" UN - more perfect??? I guess that means upping the blackmail to that collective negation of humanity
He will double the foreign aid to failing nations. Double foreign aid? Odinga is dancing! He said he knows it wont be popular. I'll say, you want this guy in charge of your wallet? He cries about the money spent in Iraq but will cha$e failed failed foreign aid programs that are looted by the fat, bureaucratic despots that pillage the funds and starve their people.

UPDATE: Who will guard human rights at the UN?
UPDATE: Others weigh in. Larwyn's links:
Obama: Onwards to Afghanistan!
Words eaten
Obama 2007: "The surge is not working."
Obama 2008: Time to do some "purgery" on my Web site. The late Johnny Carson loved those hoary movies where the usurper dethroned the king, only to have the king mount a comeback.
Carson noted that they always
"The king is dead!"
The new king would toast this, but as he would drink, a messenger would break in with the news: "The king lives!"
The usurper would then spray his mouthful of wine and gasp, "What?"
I thought of that over the weekend as Democratic Sen. Barack Obama tries to crawl back from his pronouncement in February 2007 that the Surge failed.
We had not even assembled our reinforcements to go in.
Now Obama is purging his opposition to the Surge from his Web site, the New York Daily News reported. That's his right, but …
The Obama spokesbot: "We regularly update the Web site to reflect changes in current events."
Finally, we know what Obama means by change. Might want to clean up that wine he just spit out.

That has to be the dumbest sob in history. Surpassing Jimmah F*** Carter. Someone needs to bitch slap this sob and tell him the most important thing is, He hasn't won yet, and the next thing is, he is not running for dictator. P**** on this sob.and his wife ester.

I still don't know what it means. Just what is this "victory in Iraq"? I'm wondering what it will look like. I still haven't figured this out yet. Maybe Pamela Geller can inform us as to the definition of "victory in Iraq" that she and the neocons have come up with.
Is it defeating al Qaeda in Iraq? Is it training the Iraqi military to defend their own nation which is certain to be led by a Shiite majority sympathetic to Iran and no friend of the U.S.? Will victory come when every Iraqi Christian flees the country being forced to settle elsewhere to live without fear of death? We must be very close then. Are we victorious when the sectarian violence comes to a halt only to reignite once we leave? Will we be victorious when we have fully drained the American coffers to rebuild Iraq? One hundred years from now, might we have a better notion? Please tell us Pamela.

Oh I see. Pamela is one that preaches to her choir only. No room for dissent.

Actually, we already have won in Iraq. We stopped a monster who had ambitions to control the whole middle east. Thus obtaining any weapon possible to fulfill that ambition.A monster who was paying suicide bombers to murder Israelis.A man who had two sons, dodo and momo..two weapons of mass destructin all by themselves. Course, the better success would have been a smoldering mass of nothing and let Iran be next.
