"Palestinian" Minister Praises Obama

So what's the big deal? Castro and Mugabe like him too. What's interesting to me ..... is the outside world sees the US Presidential race more clearly than we do.

JORDAN TIMES: "Palestinian minister praises Obama" hat tip Daryl

QUOTE: " 'He (Obama) promised he would not wait ...he will make it happen from day one' "

EXCERPTS:TOKYO (AFP) - A senior Palestinian minister said 3 July that he was pinning his hopes on US presidential candidate Barack Obama, believing he would seal an elusive deal on creating a Palestinian state. The Palestinian Authority's Planning Minister Samir Abdullah told reporters on a visit to Tokyo he expected Obama to win the election in November and "look at the Palestinian question and try to do something about it". "He promised that he will not wait until the end of his term to launch negotiations and he will make it happen from day one. I hope that he will fulfil his promise," he said. .  .  .

whats a "palestinian" minister.....this is a latin word....is he Roman or something?

To take another angle also, reading these stories, and the ones in the carribean and Africa, it seems that all these "ministers" and foreigner supporters all have their hands out.Everyones hoping for change in a handout.

President Bush didn't wait until the end of his term. It's you Palestinians who want a state without the existence of Israel. You are all killers.

There is ALREADY a Palestinian state - it is called Jordan. Israel goes from the west bank of the Jordan River to the sea - not one INCH less.

Ayn Rand at 100: "Yours is the Glory"

  • Aynrandstamp_1

  • Speaking to the unnamed, unchampioned, beating heart of her new land, Ayn was to say: 'Yours is the glory.'"
A man whose ability and independence leads others to reject him, but who perseveres nevertheless to achieve his values. Man as an individual, as a creator. What's the most depraved type of human being? Not a sadist or a murderer or a sex maniac or a dictator; "The man without a purpose." Yet most people seem to go through their lives without a clearly defined purpose.

  • Life has Loveliness to sell,
    All beautiful and splendid things,
Blue waves whitened on a cliff,
Soaring fires that sways and swing,
    And children's faces looking up,
    Holding wonder like a cup

    Life has Loveliness to sell,
Music like a curve of Gold,
Scent of pinetrees in the rain,
Eyes that love you, arms that hold,
And for your spirit's still delight,
Holy stars that star the night.

Spend all you have for loveliness,
    Buy it and never count the cost;
For one white singing hour of Peace
Count many a year of strife well lost
And for a breath of ecstasy
Give all you have been, or could be.
