Obama, Marketing over Matter ... Hitler would be pleased
Reader Dee opines, "the phallic symbol to be used by Obama to speak about “historic” U.S.-German relations, in order to impress (yet again) another massive rally of adoring fans just as Adolf Hitler wanted to impress crowds by moving it to that location, the Siegessäule (Victory Column) has nothing to do with the U.S. and German relationship. It is all about Prussia’s victories over Denmark, Austria and France; what a slap in the face to those American allies. Obama is so consumed with imagery; the image here will be he and Hitler side by side in front of a massive crowd I love it. Question: Who’s next in line to be thrown under the bus? Answer: Whomever in his campaign that suggested the Siegessäule without researching the history of the monument".
Obama’s team decided against Tempelhof airport – the site of the Berlin airlift – and opted for the Siegessäule.
Although the victory column may seem an easy win for the team, it has been criticized by some Berlin politicians such as Fainer Brüderle, deputy chairman of the liberal party FDP.
“The Siegessäule in Berlin was moved from the Reichstag to its current position by Adolf Hitler," he told the Bild am Sonntag. "It was a symbol for German supremacy and victorious wars against Denmark, Austria and France.” (here)

all this just days after his brownshirt...ahem...civilian police force idea.
They claim all this stuff is just coincidence, or gaffes, but everyday fits a clear pattern. Along with his anti-american and axis aligned friends. Not a single gaffe or coincidence is out of ordinary.
All the libs who cried about Bushes executive orders, and how he could suspend elections in an emergency and rule forever, do I really want Barry Mohammoud with that type of power, when he constantly slips...uh uh uh....out his....uh uh uh uh....charismatic and articulate....er um...self?

Given Denis McDonough's Germany connections, he had to know better.
