It is obvious now to Isalmic jihad if they want their murderers released they must kidnap and kill Jews. It works.

Samir Quntar who crushed the head of four-year-old Eynat Haran with his rifle, was a serving four life sentences for murder in an Israeli prison is released to a hero's welcome.

Samir Kuntar freed at Lebanon border Wednesday afternoon; Hizbullah celebrations underway

Child-killer freed: A short while after the bodies of Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser were identified, murderer Samir Kuntar and the four Hizbullah prisoners headed to the Lebanese border.

Hizbullah's al-Manar network reported that Kuntar and the four prisoners were received by masses of supporters, cries of joy, and lively music. Following a short ceremony, the freed prisoners were set to head to Beirut for a mass rally to celebrate their release.

In his first statement after being released, Kuntar told al-Manar: "I want to congratulate all those who sacrificed for the sake of this new victory. This is the true supplement to the July victory (Second Lebanon War.) I won't say much now, I will make do with sending well-wishes to the man responsible for the promise that was fulfilled, Secretary General Hassan Nasrallah, and to the heroic fighters of the Islamic resistance (Hizbullah)."

While families of Israeli soldiers Eldad Regev and Ehud Goldwasser were mourning their loved ones, Hizbullah launched its celebrations Wednesday afternoon with a festive ceremony marking the arrival of the first caskets containing terrorists handed over by Israel earlier in the day.

Samir Kuntar's mother joined the cries of joy on Wednesday afternoon, praising Hizbullah leader Nasrallah for "the huge achievement."

< In an interview with the al-Manar network, Kuntar's mother, also known as Um Jabar, said that "there is no limit to my joy today. I cannot express my feelings. This is complete liberty. For three days I have been getting phone calls from residents of Palestine, Yemen, Morocco and other countries, who congratulate me and I congratulate them."

This is the animal (Sami Kuntar) Olmert set free today to receive a "hero's welcome" in Lebanon. This is a dark day for Israel:

"After drowning Danny [the father] in the sea in front of Einat (as Ahmed Al-Brass, Mhanna Salim Al-Muayed, and Abdel Majeed Asslan served as look outs and backup cover for Kuntar), Kuntar turned his attention towards the 4 year-old. He took his rifle and then swung it across the toddler's head, knocking her to the ground. Kuntar then dragged the toddler a couple of feet to the closest rock he could find and laid her head down on a rock, with the intention of crushing it with the butt of his rifle. Einat, instinctively covered her head with her arms, Kuntar struggled with the toddler until he finally managed to clear her arms out of the way. Once her arms were out of the way, Kuntar repeatedly beat her on the head with the butt of his rifle and stomping on her body, until blood rushed out of her ears and mouth. I think yuou might want to delete the Karnit Goldwasser video. Both she and the rest of the Goldwasser family have been through a rough two years and today it is really hard on them. I do not believe it is realistic to have expected her to be rational given what happened and I do not think it is fair to her for you to show this.

for, these indeed are the functions of faith, and of family, and of love.

but, let us put some perspective on this as well, ... , the perspective of truth.

it is for governments to make the necessary hard choices to prevent this, and this exchange, this foolhardy act, does nothing to accomplish that, or to protect israel or israeli's. it invites, nay, it simply begs, for the commission of more atrocity, quite likely at the hands of those they release.

as an act of governance, this deal of the israeli p.m. and his cabinet is lunacy, plain and simple. whatever measure of compassion may have motivated it, and to what degree, is simply overborne by the idiocy of the act within the larger context of preserving and protecting the israeli public and the state of israel. this act mocks the sacrifice of these young soldiers who sought to protect their country and their families, knowing full well the price that might be exacted upon them for their devotion.

it is horror, what has been done, and horror magnified. i hope some member of these poor boys' families will speak to this, g_d willing.

some final measure of perspective, ... , the perspective of history.

would the government of israel have been willing to release adolf eichmann for bodies? pick a number. if the answer remains no, the principle is then established, and one must simply ask, then what is the rationale in g_d's name for dealing bodies as against the lives of jews now living, now exposed to the further horror of these terrorist bastards?

To me this seems very backwards what the Israeli gov't is doing. If they(Israeli gov't) put such a high value on soldiers lives then why not a higher trading value. As of now 2 dead Israeli soldiers are worth 200 terrorist bodies dead or alive. In giving the terrorists so much back for two dead bodies they have significantly lowered the value of their soldiers lives.
