DISASTER! US WON'T LET ISRAEL ATTACK IRAN
The US has no right to tell Israel what she can or can't do to survive and Israel has no right to subjugate itself, to abdicate its sovereignty to any other nation.
In a parallel and most disturbing development Andy Bostom wrote me:
"The Fruits of our Maliki Demonstration Project "Victory" in Iraq?
Iran's ally Mailki wants us out on a timetable ("Iraq raises idea of timetable for US withdrawal"), and Israel is being pressured not to deal with Iran's nuclear program, despite the existential threat to Israel Iran's nuclear capability would pose. A "brilliant" and "courageous" set of policies, including "diplomacy" toward the apocalyptic theocracy, just plain loonocracy, of Iran!"
What's Mailki's hurry? Why the bum's rush? This is the first time that Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki has explicitly and publicly called for a withdrawal timetable — an idea opposed by President Bush.
'US won't let Israel attack Iran' Jerusalem Post
The US did not okay an Israeli attack on Iran, Prof. Anthony H. Cordesman, a former Pentagon official and currently the top defense analyst at the ABC TV network, said Monday.
Cordesman was speaking during a meeting with Israeli defense analysts held by the Institute of National Security Studies. He said IDF Chief of General Staff Lt. Gen. Gabi Ashkenazi was notified of the United States' stance regarding Iran by Admiral Michael Mullen, the top uniformed US Army officer, during Mullen's visit here at the end of June.
The US opted at this point to stick to the diplomatic track in its efforts to keep Iran from going nuclear, and has made clear to Israel that it shouldn't attack Iran without White House approval, Cordesman said.
He added that the current US policy is likely to remain unchanged at least until the next US president is sworn in.
Israeli officials confirmed that Cordesman's statements indeed reflected the current tone of US policy.
Ashkenazi is slated to visit Washington DC in the coming weeks, and while the purpose of his visit remains classified, defense analysts assume that coordinating position with the US regarding the Iranian dossier will make up a large part of his itinerary.

Not too much of a puzzle if we only knew the true mission of the Iranian visit to Mailki. If we only knew of an agreement they might have had. Iraq will belong to Iran once we leave. Make no doubt about it. But Iran has to be stopped and not next year...there is no choice. Iran is not just planning the destruction of Israel via Nuclear means..but Iran ordered hundreds of Monkeys. What do you think is going to be done with these monkeys. It sure isnt for their zoo and they already have their sheep and camel girlfriends...just imagine. What they think is going to be done is not necessarily what is on the minds of Iran's evil mullahs. And if the Libtards don't care about infidels and Israel, how about the damm monkeys. Where is Peta? Have to take what you can get. PETA oh Peta..where is your cowardly ass?

"The US did not okay an Israeli attack on Iran"
Fortunately, it's a bit harder for the US to actually STOP Israel from a pre-emptive strike on Iran than it is to bluster about Israel not having "White House approval".

RISE_UP has hit the nail on the head regarding al-Mailki and the "bums rush". Iraq will become a province of Iran, and you KNOW the Kurds will NOT be happy campers (the Iranians have screwed the Kurds for many many years just like the Turks).
As to Israel attacking Iran's nuclear project - I hope the Israelis have the balls to tell the U.S. to go to Hell and do what is in their best interests. AND, if Israel has to use nukes to do it, so be it.

The American People ("We the People") have, like mushrooms, been kept in the dark regarding Arab/Islamic terrorism.......even today.
U.S. Policy has been that the terrorist threat to Israel, is not necessarily "bad" for the United States. This policy led directly to the Saudi attacks of 9-11-2001, it continues worse than ever, to this very day.
Educate yourselves folks, Mainstream Media will not help you. Learn about Ali Mohamed (Ali Abdelsoud Mohammed), and because very few can remember the "Gulf War"...read up on that also.
And watch this..a tribute to Reagan and Alexander Haig;

There is nothing out of foreign policy character in the US stance. Reagan warned Israel not to attack the Iraqi Osirak reactor in 1981. From Israeli Insider, June 25, 2004:
"Also in 1981, Israel bombed the Iraqi reactor at Osirak. Reagan was furious and the U.S. supported the UN Security Council resolution condemning Israel. On the other hand, the U.S. ambassador to the UN, Jeane Kirkpatrick, was one of Israel's staunchest defenders, and the U.S. vetoed more than a dozen other anti-Israel resolutions.
While other presidents privately threatened to withhold aid or take other measures against Israel, Reagan did not hesitate to publicly punish Israel. After Israel annexed the Golan Heights in 1981, Reagan suspended the strategic cooperation agreement prompting Begin to accuse Reagan of treating Israel like a "banana republic." The U.S. also suspended the delivery of F-16 jet fighters to Israel after the raid on Osirak. In both instances, the penalties were only temporary."

I have worked in the Middle East back in the early 80s and went back to help re-build Iraq 2003-2007. One thing I have learned is that leaders in the ME tend to speak what they think their people want to hear and act another way.
I am not sure Mailiki realy wants US & Coalition forces to leave, but on a publicity level, he acts like he is speaking for the Iraqi People and their Arab neighbors. My guess is that the majority of the Iraqi people speaking candidly would not with US/Coalition forces to leave any time soon.
Unfortunately, I do believe the US is going to rely on Isreal to do our bidding (and the rest of the free world's) one more time in the ME in regards to the Iranian nuclear threat.
