This is the same Ugly Outfitters that has been introducing iconic symbols of Islamic Jihad into the mainstream media. So I said yes, knowing I wouldn't spend so much as a dinar there. H&M would get my kesev.
Imagine my shock and dismay when it looked like Obama campaign headquarters. The tee-shirt tables were stacked with Obama tees, blatant promotions for Obama, nothing for McCain. The posionous fruit of Obama's crack marketing consortium at full speed. These are 122 Urban Outfitters stores in the US, Canada, and Europe. The company operates over 200 stores under three brands: Urban Outfitters, Free People, and Anthropologie.
This is an assault on the youth consciousness. The objective is to vote for Obama celebrity. Wearing Obama is "kewl". A vote for Obama is the "hip" thing to do. This isn't a Presidential election - this is the MTV awards.
Of course my daughter rolled her eyes when she saw but she knows when she is being manipulated. The zombies in the store were clueless.
This is no accident. This is another in a long line of cultural assaults by Urban. And yet the Chairman claimed it is important to "not mix politics and business":
