With Hillary poised to drop out of the race on Friday, we are getting a clearer picture of the choice the liberals have made in their presidential candidate.There is more on the infamous  tape of Michelle. Over at Hillbuzz  and No Quarter blog. Obama is going to need that army of media consultants. His wife is his mentor and she is full of hate. Her poor timing of these (and previous) invectives indicates to me two things - she has no self control and she thinks unhappy haters are in the majority in this country.

What's on the Michelle Obama Rant Tape?

Here's what's known so far:

The Michelle Obama Rant Tape was filmed between June 26th - July 1st 2004 in Chicago, IL at the Rainbow/PUSH Coalition Conference at Trinity United Church: specifically the Women's Event.

Michelle Obama appeared as a panelist alongside Mrs. Khadijah Farrakhan and Mrs. James Meeks.

Bill Clinton spoke during the Conference, as did Bill Cosby and other speakers, but not at the panel Michelle attended.

Michelle Obama spoke at the Women's Event, but referenced Bill Clinton in her rant --- his presence at the conference was the impetus for her raving, it seems.

For about 30 minutes, Michelle Obama launched into a rant about the evils of America, and how America is to blame for the problems of Africa. Michelle personally blamed President Clinton for the deaths of millions of Africans and said America is responsible for the genocide of the Tutsis and other ethnic groups. She then launched into an attack on "whitey", and talked about solutions to black on black crime in the realm of diverting those actions onto white America. Her rant was fueled by the crowd: they reacted strongly to what she said, so she got more passionate and enraged, and that's when she completely loses it and says things that have made the mouths drop of everyone who's seen this.

The "tape" is a DVD that Trinity United sold on its website, and possibly offered free for download up until March 2008 when Trinity's site was scrubbed and the DVDs were no longer offered for sale.

This outburst happened just one month before the 2004 Democratic Convention, when Barack Obama delivered the keynote address.

UPDATED: It seems really easy for Chicago local media, especially, to determine whether or not this is the right tape of Michelle Obama. All they need to do is pull the tape from this 2004 Conference (particularly the panel Michelle was on), which should be readily available (since this was a very large multi-day event). All a journalist needs to do is watch this tape: if this is not the right one, they'd know immediately and this issue would be debunked. But, logically, this seems to be the most likely source of the tape people have been talking about at NoQuarterUSA.net

Carolyn opines, "This Michelle tape is from 4 years ago.  Everything I know about Michelle - her scowling body language, her bitter words, her own Princeton thesis, etc. - makes it obvious this a very angry, very self-pitying woman.  Such a person does not keep their opinions to themselves - restraint like that only comes from people who think of others ahead of themselves.  That is not a trait I ascribe to Michelle.  Her refusal to keep her 'finally proud to be an American' opinion to herself is proof of that.  The timing is also a clue to her psyche - this 'proud' statement occurred nearly 2 years after her husband had begun running for the Presidency.  If such a manifestly important campaign of her own husband (not to mention her own legal training, plus simple common sense) wasn't enough to prevent her from letting the world know how much she hates America and white people, than it is clear this woman lets nothing prevent her from venting her hate and self-pity.  All of which means that there has surely got to be other ticking time bombs of tapes, letters, speeches out there set to blow up in Michelle's face. 

 

You know, all this could lead to a curious irony.  The chief accusation which the black community has consistently thrown at the white community is the accusation that white people "just don't get it".  Well, I have a strong suspicion that - after watching Michelle's tapes - the irony may not be that the white community will 'get it' - but that the black community still will not."

Oh, they will NEVER do that! Such an act would confirm that the tape exists at all.

I see three things - Obama will treat the tape as if it doesn't exist, McCain will not prove it does exist - and the bloggers will explode it soon so that the media will be forced to prove it does. If the bloggers are cunning, they will wait until AFTER the Democratic convention, maybe even after the Republican one, before this tape is released. Such a late release will rob Obama of the one thing he needs to survive a scandal like this - time. Therefore, I would pick late September or early October for this tape to emerge in all its ugly glory.
