We all have have cute stories on how we met our Spouses. I met mine when I rescued her from a killer shark in the ocean (ok thats not true, but it sounds more impressive than I was set up on a blind date by my big sister). Reverend Wright met his when he was giving her and her then husband

Delmer Reed marriage counseling. Now I am not a Biblical Scholar like Reverend Wright, but it sounds an awful like " Coveting thy neighbor's wife" to me. The story follows:

Wright is typical of those who play the system for all it's worth. He made a fortune yelling about the unjustness of the world vs blacks, then takes the church's money and ends up living in a $1,200,000 mansion in a white suburb of Chicago (with a $10,000,000 church-funded line of credit), while driving several Mercedes automobiles to spread the word. Even better, since the church provides the house and line of credit, it's all TAX FREE. Meaning all the unjust American taxpayers pay for this bullshit. The fact he is a sexual sleazeball shouldn't surprise anyone. An asshole by any other name is still an asshole. Wright? Wright.

The Trinity United Church of Christ, where Dr. Wright is pastor, is not to be confused with the United Churches of Christ, is no church. If the Trinity UCC was a real church, Dr. Wright would have been de-frocked and possibly excommunicated.

clyde: Even if the "church" provides all that, he would still have to pay taxes. If a home is provided as part of your job, the IRS looks at the square footage, calculates that as a certain amount of income, then Wright has to pay taxes.

There's a big myth that clergy in the country don't pay taxes. Not so. They pay taxes quarterly as if self-employed and if a home, rectory or parsonage is provided as part of the job, that counts as income too.
