BEIRUT HAS FALLEN TO ISLAMIC JIHAD
WTF happened to resolution 1701? Only Israel has to adhere to UN anti-Jewish resolutions. As far as Islamic jihad, they can't be expected to, they're savages, right?
Islamic jihad takes another pawn off the global chessboard in its battle against the West.
Lebanon, another victory in Islam's bloody crusade to dominate the world. Beirut falls to Islamic jihad, and invariably that leaves teeny tiny itsy bitzy Israel the the last one standing, the lone country in an Islamic Middle east, land of robotic, programmed savages.
In every continent, in every country, Islam wages jihad approaching each country differently but the objective is the same.
Israel turned 60 yesterday - unfrickinbelievable. War looms on the Northern border now that civil war has broken out. The Hezbos are rearmed, redeployed, hudna over. Kick Olmert's ass outta there before the hostilities get really hot. We need a Begin!
From the Iblos blog. How does the world not see what is happening?
Beirut has fallen…hat tip Michael
Beirut has fallen under the yoke of Nassrallah militiamen. A victory some are calling it. Hordes of militiamen running in the streets shooting at civilians and residential areas. TVs, newspapers and magazines are being closed down. Checkpoints are being built. Welcome to the new age, the age of Hezbollah iron grip!
Dream on! Hundreds or even thousands of militiamen cannot occupy a city. Pitiful street thugs will never close down free press and Tvs. Dream on, for today is the start of the end of what was once called a resistance, but now is only a milita, specialized in terror and blackmail, holding a whole city, and economy of the whole country hostages for some political gains.
Dream on! A battle is lost but the war rages on, where it should in our hearts in our minds and in our faith in a free, democratic and secular LEBANON!
Dream on Mr. Nassrallah…
WAR!!!
"Our weapons will never be used on the inside. Our weapons are only to fight Israel!" Nassrallah said repeatedly. Then today he changed his mind "our weapons shall be used to defend our weapons, on the outside or even ON THE INSIDE!!" The divine leader works in mysterious ways, and no one can question him...
Finally, Nassrallah described what Hezbollah truly is: just another power hungry milita, which cares only for its power and weapons. Forget Israel, forget the so called occupied Lebanese land in the Shebaa area (with an area less than 30 km2 ) forget all that, the battle is in Beirut. In our beautiful capital, in its streets and houses...
A bloody street war, with all the horrors that it evokes: Militiamen checkpoints, asking for ones sect, religion and political affiliations. Civilian casualties, innocent bystanders mowed down by stray bullets. Whole buildings with their windows broken…
Two days of street fighting, ten death so far... may they be the last... but somehow I doubt it... Once more my country is plunged in civil war... into a black abyss of hate, death and destruction...
From Israel National News: Civil War at Israel's Northern Border: Hizbullah Seizes W Beirut
Civil war has returned to Lebanon and Hizbullah seems to be winning, having seized west Beirut.

Updated 14:32 Lebanon Time
- The highway to Tripoli (Tarablous) has been closed. (not sure by which side)
- Death toll in the past 72 hours: 13 dead / +45 injured
- Reports indicate Saniora & Hariri are still in Beirut.
- The government vs opposition fight has moved to the South and North of Lebanon. Akkar [Minieh & Miniara] is a flashpoint, with Hariri's Future Movement militias setting up roadblocks and firing automatic weapons. Tyre (Sour) is also seeing some activity.
- Pro-government media outlets admit defeat of pro-government militias [by opposition militias] in Beirut.
- Italy has just opened up a hotline for its citizens in Beirut. (don't know the number)
- Aoun has just gone on TV to say that the fighting is over, the opposition has won, and the tomorrow all life will be back to normal in Beirut, with a greater sense of safety as the militias have either disbanded or fled, with militia offices and weapons now controlled by the Lebanese Army.
- MEA has cancelled all flights for another 24 hours.
By midday the Dahr el Baidar passage was reopened for traffic in both directions.
- Jumblat has denied reports that he had been evacuated from Beirut.
- Hariri's Future Movement militia has called the Tareek el Jdeedeh area off limits to the Press and the Opposition - anyone who enters will be shot at.
- Heaving fighting reported around Hariri's Koreitem mansion.
- After around 12 hours of fighting, Hariri's Future Movement militia is all but defeated in all areas but Tareek el Jdeedeh (next to the Beirut Stadium). Most of Hariri's Future Movement militia offices were set on fire [by Hariri's Future Movement militia] before evacuation and handing-over to the army.
- Jumblat's militias have all but disbanded in Beirut, after significant defeats overnight. A figure in Jumblat's Beirut militia has laid down arms and surrendered to the opposition, and asked that others follow suit as Jumblat had abandoned them.
- Morning started with the closing of the Port and the St. Georges Hotel highway. These were soon reopened.
- I was on the roads just after midnight. They were calm, mostly deserted, with army checkpoints set up to stop the fighting from spreading.
- All armed clashes so far have taken place west of the green line. Bechara el Khoury was the closest green-line flashpoint.
- By midnight, a significant number of Hariri's Future Movement militia had been surrounded, with reports of armed men dropping their weapons and calling for help.
- Into the night, the opposition had made significant advances, overtaking offices of pro-government militias and handing them over to the army.
- Primary weapons of choice: Kalashnikov, M16, RPG, and B7
- The speeches led to clashes on the streets, primarily between Hizballah, Amal, Hariri, & Jumblat militias. Fighting was focused around Barbour, Barbeer, Corniche Mazraa, Tareek Jdeedeh, Ain el Tineh, and adjacent areas.
- After Nasrallah's speech asking the government to call off its war or else, Hariri made a speech about not giving in, calling for a compromise that asked the opposition to back down and accept the status quo. Aoun responded with a 'hell no'.
UPDATE: Of course, the Associated (with terrorist) are cheerleading the terrorists.

This is horrible and I hate to be selfish in thought, but . . .
I'm glad the airport is shut down. Italy setting up hotlines for Lebanese (Christian or Muslim) does not warm my cockles. If we decide, invoking international human rights principles, to allow thousands of refugees into this nation, it will be our loss.
Hezbollah already gets lots of funding from illegal cigarette sales and such within the United States. These people are not Westerners or on our side. Lets not allow flights from Lebanon until 5 years after the conflict has ceased.
Sorry, but my number one priority is the safety of America.

It's OK! Former President Jimmy Carter says they aren't terrorists! (Sarcasm off!)
