Murdoch’s Daughter Hosts Obama Fund-Raiser

Insert a new twist to the political parlor game that involves following the moves of Rupert Murdoch and his clan: his daughter, Elisabeth, is hosting at her London home a fund-raiser for Senator Barack Obama.

Ms. Murdoch is one of a slew of “event chairs,” which also includes Gwyneth Paltrow, for the April 28 event at Ms. Murdoch’s home in Notting Hill. David Blood, who runs an investment fund with former Vice President Al Gore that specializes in environmentally-friendly companies, is also listed as an “event host.”

A contribution of $2,300 offers access to the V.I.P. reception; attendance to the main event only requires a $1,000 donation.

FOX-CNN MSNBC etc. are opportunists out for a quick buck.....without allegiance to anyone......except perhaps the Saudis.

I know Y'all hate to be reminded, but....It was FOX-NEWS, Carl Cameron and Brit Hume who started the rumour that Israel was involved in the attacks of 9-11......not Al Jizzz!

NEW YORK - Media mogul Rupert Murdoch, whose Fox News Channel and other conservative news outlets have been skewering Hillary Rodham Clinton for years, will host a summer fund-raiser for the senator, mystifying some observers and enraging others.

Especially incensed are liberal activists, who for months have decried what they see as a shift to a right on Clinton’s part as the Democrat contemplates a run for president in 2008. They are stunned that she is associating with a man viewed as a cornerstone of the “vast right-wing conspiracy,” a term Clinton herself employed.

“Hillary, help us. Who the hell are you?” thundered Washington Post columnist Richard Cohen.

If Rupert Murdock is to be held responsible for everything his daughter is (or does), then when is Dick Cheney going to come out of the clos . . . the Minneapolis Airport Men's Room?

Face it! There's lots of people out here from every shade of political Red or Blue, for whom the very sight of Ms. Hil-liar-y in her present role as "Rocky" or more like, "The Big Lebowsky" is so aggravating that we would hold a gala fundraiser for a Duck, if it should serve to secure the U.S. from a future of drowning in a sea of pc baby boom bourgeois puke.
