Here is the screenshot, which we encourage our readers to download (don't link, it uses this site's bandwidth) and circulate with Obama's picture right at the top.

The three World Trade Center buildings were demolished by professionals, not by a motley crew of 19 Arabs under the direction of one Osama bin Laden who was dying if not already dead in the Middle East at the time (9/11/01). The real question is "Who are these professionals who demolished the buildings and who paid them?" It was an inside job, folks. Ya think Hillary or McCain will chase them down?

Certainly, the oil industry had the most to gain from this atrocity and you can follow its blood money right into the Oval Office where its puppet politicians covered up the truth to cover up the lies they used to invade Iraq. Invasion and occupation of Iraq to save them from themselves, yeh right. It should remind you of the invasion and occupation of the Americas to save the Indians from ourselves, too.

When signed into law by Governor David Paterson, this legislation will protect American journalists and authors from foreign lawsuits that infringe on their First Amendment rights.

I am enormously disappointed in cartoonist Westergaard. FITNA should not have to be re-edited to remove Westergaard's cartoon. Westergaard knows the Danish cartoons have become the icon of free speech in the battle to save our civilization. If his toon wasn't the best of a barely mediocre bunch, he would like so much furniture, invisible.
I thoought he was a stand up guy. His threatened lawsuit against Wilders proves he's not. I like what Diana West said, "Kurt Westergaard, he of bomb-head Mohammed cartoon fame, is planning to sue Geert Wilders for Wilders' use of his cartoon in Fitna. Oh, brother. (Psst, Kurt: Every time somebody reprints your terrific cartoon, freedom of speech in the West is upheld, remember? The problem has been, so very few media outlets have had the guts to do so. While we await the release of Dutch MP Geert Wilders 15 minute documentary on the Koran and Violence, it is worth recalling (hat tip Daniel Pipes) that Winston Churchill on p. 50 of From War to War, the first part of the first volume of his 6-part Second World War, proclaimed Hitler's Mein Kampf to be,

"…the new Koran of faith and war: turgid, verbose, shapeless, but pregnant with its message."

Here is a Parliamentary speech Wilders gave on the subject on the Koran, Islam, and violence this past September (on his birthday), which appears to anticipate the contents of his documentary:

Madam Speaker, allow me, first, to express my sincere thanks to you personally for having planned a debate on Islam on the very day of my birthday [September 6]. I could not have wished for a nicer present!

Madam Speaker, approximately 1400 years ago war was declared on us by an ideology of hate and violence which arose at the time and was proclaimed by a barbarian who called himself the Prophet Mohammed. I am referring to Islam.

Madam Speaker, let me start with the foundation of the Islamic faith, the Koran. The Koran's core theme is about the duty of all Muslims to fight non-Muslims; an Islamic Mein Kampf, in which fight means war, jihad. The Koran is above all a book of war – a call to butcher non-Muslims (2:191, 3:141, 4:91, 5:3), to roast them (4:56, 69:30-69:32), and to cause bloodbaths amongst them (47:4). Jews are compared to monkeys and pigs (2:65, 5:60, 7:166), while people who believe in Jesus Christ as the Son of God must according to the Koran be fought (9:30 [9:29]). Madam Speaker, the West has no problems with Jews or Christians, but it does have problems with Islam. It is still possible, even today, for Muslims to view the Koran, which they regard as valid for all time, as a licence to kill. And that is exactly what happens. The Koran is worded in such a way that its instructions are addressed to Muslims for eternity, which includes today's Muslims.This in contrast to texts in the Bible, which is formulated as a number of historical narratives, placing events in a distant past. Let us remind ourselves that it was Muslims, not Jews or Christians, who committed the catastrophic terrorist attacks in New York, Madrid and London; and that it was no coincidence that Theo van Gogh was brutally murdered by a Muslim, Mohammed Bouyeri.

Madam Speaker, I acknowledge that there are people who call themselves Muslims and who respect our laws. My party, the Freedom Party, has nothing against such people, of course.

However, the Koran does have something against them. For it is stated in the Koran in Sura 2, verse 85, that those believers who do not believe in everything the Koran states will be humiliated and receive the severest punishment; which means that they will roast in Hell. In other words, people who call themselves Muslims but who do not believe, for example, in Sura 9, verse 30 [9:30], which states that Jews and Christians must be fought, or, for example, in Sura 5, verse 38, which states that the hand of a thief must be cut off, such people will be humiliated and roast in Hell.

Note that it is not me who is making this up. All this can be found in the Koran. The Koran also states that Muslims who believe in only part of the Koran are in fact apostates, and we know what has to happen to apostates. They have to be killed.

Madam Speaker, the Koran is a book that incites to violence. I remind the House that the distribution of such texts is unlawful according to Article 132 of our Penal Code. In addition, the Koran incites to hatred and calls for murder and mayhem. The distribution of such texts is made punishable by Article 137(e). The Koran is therefore a highly dangerous book; a book which is completely against our legal order and our democratic institutions. In this light, it is an absolute necessity that the Koran be banned for the defence and reinforcement of our civilisation and our constitutional state. I shall propose a second-reading motion to that effect.

Madam Speaker, there is no such thing as "moderate Islam". As Turkish Prime Minister Erdogan said the other day, and I quote, "There is no moderate or immoderate Islam. Islam is Islam and that's it". Islam is in pursuit of dominance. It wishes to exact its imperialist agenda by force on a worldwide scale (8:39). This is clear from European history. Fortunately, the first Islamic invasion of Europe was stopped at Poitiers in 732; the second in Vienna in 1683. Madam Speaker, let us ensure that the third Islamic invasion, which is currently in full spate, will be stopped too in spite of its insidious nature and notwithstanding the fact that, in contrast to the 8th and 17th centuries, it has no need for an Islamic army because the scared "dhimmis" in the West, also those in Dutch politics, have left their doors wide open to Islam and Muslims.

Apart from conquest, Madam Speaker, Islam is also bent on installing a totally different form of law and order, namely Sharia law. This makes Islam, apart from a religion for hundreds of millions of Muslims also, and in particular, a political ideology (with political/constitutional/Islamic basic values, etc). Islam is an ideology without any respect for others; not for Christians, not for Jews, not for non?believers and not for apostates. Islam aims to dominate, subject, kill and wage war.

Madam Speaker, the Islamic incursion must be stopped. Islam is the Trojan Horse in Europe. If we do not stop Islamification now, Eurabia and Netherabia will just be a matter of time. One century ago, there were approximately 50 Muslims in the Netherlands. Today, there are about 1 million Muslims in this country. Where will it end? We are heading for the end of European and Dutch civilisation as we know it.

Where is our Prime Minister in all this? In reply to my questions in the House he said, without batting an eyelid, that there is no question of our country being Islamified. Now, this reply constituted a historical error as soon as it was uttered. Very many Dutch citizens, Madam Speaker, experience the presence of Islam around them. And I can report that they have had enough of burkas, headscarves, the ritual slaughter of animals, so?called honour revenge, blaring minarets, female circumcision, hymen restoration operations, abuse of homosexuals, Turkish and Arabic on the buses and trains as well as on town hall leaflets, halal meat at grocery shops and department stores, Sharia exams, the Finance Minister's Sharia mortgages, and the enormous overrepresentation of Muslims in the area of crime, including Moroccan street terrorists. In spite of all this, Madam Speaker, there is hope. Fortunately. The majority of Dutch citizens have become fully aware of the danger, and regard Islam as a threat to our culture. My party, the Freedom Party, takes those citizens seriously and comes to their defence.Many Dutch citizens are fed up to the back teeth and yearn for action. However, their representatives in The Hague are doing precisely nothing. They are held back by fear, political correctness or simply electoral motives. This is particularly clear in the case of PvdA, the Dutch Labour Party, which is afraid of losing Muslim voters. The Prime Minister said in Indonesia the other day that Islam does not pose any danger. Minister Donner believes that Sharia law should be capable of being introduced in the Netherlands if the majority want it. Minister Vogelaar babbles about the future Netherlands as a country with a Judeo?Christian?Islamic tradition, and that she aims to help Islam take root in Dutch society. In saying this, the Minister shows that she has obviously gone stark raving mad. She is betraying Dutch culture and insulting Dutch citizens. Madam Speaker, my party, the Freedom Party, demands that Minister Vogelaar retract her statement. If the Minister fails to do so, the Freedom Party parliamentary group will withdraw its support for her. No Islamic tradition must ever be established in the Netherlands: not now and also not in a few centuries' time.

Madam Speaker, let me briefly touch on the government's response to the WRR [Netherlands Scientific Council for Government Policy] report. On page 12 of its response, the government states that Islam is not contrary to democracy or human rights. All I can say to that is that things can't get much more idiotic than this.Madam Speaker, it is a few minutes to twelve. If we go on like this, Islam will herald the end of our Western civilisation as well as Dutch culture.I would like to round off my first-reading contribution with a personal appeal to the Prime Minister on behalf of a great many Dutch citizens: stop the Islamification of the Netherlands! Mr Balkenende, a historic task rests on your shoulders. Be courageous. Do what many Dutch citizens are screaming out for. Do what the country needs. Stop all immigration from Muslim countries, ban all building of new mosques, close all Islamic schools, ban burkas and the Koran. Expel all criminal Muslims from the country, including those Moroccan street terrorists that drive people mad. Accept your responsibility! Stop Islamification! Enough is enough, Mr Balkenende. Enough is enough.

Violent "Peace" Protester Hits Girl Blogger

Atlas readers are very familiar with long time reader Rich who was so inspired by what one individual can do he started his own counter anti-war group in Philly to stand up against a weekly motley crew of seditionists, traitors,  and and your regular weak,  run of the mill group of hippie leftists. I ran previous reports of his work here and here.

Well the anti-war cowards don't like to be challenged or questions or called out on their lies especially by proud patriots. So they cry and whine and stomp and wail and summon the police  but to no avail. Rich and his wonderful patriots grow and grow ....so the anti-war leftards resort to ..... violence. Now that's rich, Rich.

Peace Protester hits female blogger - the video.

7 months ago, a retired Navy veteran named Rich Davis began a counter-protest against a group of peace protestors near Phila, PA.  The leftists had been protesting against Bush and the troop's mission every Saturday in West Chester, PA for the last 5 years.

Last Saturday, one of the peace protestors, a man who carries a "veteran for peace" sign,became unhinged and struck a conservative female blogger who had been covering the counter protests since they began. There were about 50 peace protestors and 25 pro-troop protestors present.  The police arrived and when they attempted to question "the slugger" - he resisted and shoved the policeman - resulting in his arrest.  A fellow peace protestor was arrested for interferring with the police while they were handcuffing the "the slugger".

My friend Alan posits:

One good question to put in Meicht and Grant's faces is this - they scream they're not traitors, well, here's a way to put them to the test. Ask them if they know anything about ANSWER? who runs it, who is behind it, where they get their funding from. The answer to ANSWER is that it is headed by one Brian Becker of the Socialist Workers Party, or Progressive Communist Party of the U.S.A. - a coterie of former Trotskyites led by a Sam Darcy who broke with Trotsky's disciples - the guy himself had been long dead, pick-axed in the brain by the Stalinists - to - yep, become Stalinist Communists, Maoist (until he met Nixon), and then following Enver Hoxha in Albania. Note: The peace protestors have been playing victim and demonizing Rich Davis calling them "Jack-botted thugs", "full of violence and hate" and "old men fullfilling wet dreams by sending younger men off to war" since they arrived last September.   They don't like that they can no longer protest unopposed.  They have recruited the bottom of the barrel extremists and groups include, "Veterans For Peace" - (a continuation of the Vietnam Winter Soldiers and ally of the Iraq Vets Against The War) and Women in Black (a group that recently gave Code Pink leaders their annual "Vagina Warrior Award").

Rich Davis calls his group the Chester County Victory Movement (CCVM). Check out their blog www.americansheepdogs.com.  And they have received a lot of support from the Gathering of Eagles (www.gatheringofeagles.org). 

Atlas salutes the GOE and CCVM for not letting these "propagandists for the enemy" go unopposed.  "PINO" (peace in name only) protestors around the country are mischaracterizing our troops, undermining their mission and attacking our military recruiters, and should be opposed whenever possible.  NEVER AGAIN, NOT THIS WAR, NOT THESE TROOPS.

And it used to provide a link to the Trumpet Magazine that once gave an award to Louis Farrakhan -- a magazine published by Rev. Jeremiah Wright's daughter.

"But cursing out white folks is not going to get the job done. Anti-Semitic and anti-Asian statements are not going to lift us up. We've got some hard nuts-and-bolts organizing and planning to do. We've got communities to build."

There were practical implications.  Like his white racist counterparts, Elijah Muhammad believed that interracial sexual relations were morally depraved and genetically destructive, for interracial sex “ruins and destroys a people.”  Rhetoric aside, he wanted to establish a truce between racists and his Southern mosques.  To this end he sent Malcolm X to Atlanta to accompany Jeremiah X, the local Muslim minister of Atlanta, to a secret meeting with members of the Klan.  Both sides discussed race relations.  Malcolm described the integration movement as a Jewish conspiracy carried out by black stooges.  The parties eventually hammered out the main issue: a nonaggression pact. If the Muslims did not aid the civil rights movement in the South, the mosques would be undisturbed.30

On Sunday, June 25, 1961, Rockwell and ten troopers attended a Black Muslim rally at Uline Arena in Washington.  They watched in awe as convoys of chartered buses unloaded hundreds of passengers outside the arena and the Muslim vendors made a killing on official souvenirs and literature.  The Nazis were frisked at the door of the arena by several well-dressed but stern-looking Fruit of Islam guards—the Gestapo of the Nation of Islam.  A special guard greeted   Rockwell, said into his walkie-talkie that the “big man was coming now,” and escorted them to seats near the stage in the center, surrounded by eight thousand Black Muslims. Americans Name top Enemies

Despite Condiappeaser, Bush lite, State dept arabists, Olmurderer and the Euroweenies, Americans know who the enemy is:

But folks, North Korea is huge. Americans perceive it as China's vassel.

China, a growing economic rival of the U.S., was cited by 11% as top enemy a year ago.

Gallup first asked the question in early 2001, before the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11. At the time, Iraq was seen as the biggest foe, followed by China and Iran.

'Moderate Islam Is a Contradiction'

Right-wing Dutch politician Geert Wilders wanted to provoke an international scandal with his anti-Islam film "Fitna." He succeeded. He talks to SPIEGEL about his crusade against Islam.

SPIEGEL: Last Thursday, you released a long-awaited film that rails against the Koran. Heads of government across the EU are already discussing it and in Afghanistan Dutch flags are going up in flames. Have you achieved your goal: to provoke?

Wilders: The political elite has demonstrated with astonishing clarity that it learned nothing from the debate over the Muhammad cartoons. It bows to the Islamists. For example, our government has developed evacuation plans for our diplomatic missions abroad. That's just an invitation to militant Muslims.

SPIEGEL: You invoke the right to freedom of opinion but you demand a prohibition of the Koran. Does that not contravene the principle of religious tolerance?

Wilders: For me, Islam is a vision of a society that defines all forms of interpersonal behavior -- from inheritance to criminal law. This ideology endangers our values. I hate it, I don't hate Muslims.

SPIEGEL: Is the comparison between the Koran and Hitler's "Mein Kampf" not totally inappropriate? In making it, you're providing the imams with a perfect image of the enemy.

Wilders: I want to provoke a discussion. Certain Koranic verses have moved their followers to commit the most abhorrent acts. Where is the imam who stands up in the Netherlands and says, for us, homosexuals are entitled to equal rights and everyone has the right to abandon their faith.

SPIEGEL: Your tirades are a challenge to all moderate Muslims and those pushing for Islamic reform.

Wilders: Moderate Islam? That's a contradiction. It's going to be a long time before we see a new Koran, an equivalent to the New Testament. Attacks don't happen in the name of Buddhism or Christianity; nor do homosexuals get beaten up, as happens daily in Amsterdam.

SPIEGEL: But immigrant youth crime has nothing to do with religion.

Wilders: It's true, they don't carry the Koran under their arms. But it's at home. And their fathers go to the mosque. They don't tell their children that beating women or believers of other religions is not allowed. That's why we have to push harder for a kind of Leitkultur, a guiding culture. Not a monoculture but a culture that draws on our Christian, Jewish, humanistic traditions and that poses a challenge to the Islamic problem. This is patriotism, not nationalism, this is pride in our own culture.

SPIEGEL: You have turned down many offers of dialogue from Muslim groups. You're mainly interested in winning votes.

Wilders: I represent half a million people who are concerned about Islam. I'm a party politician and I'm not ashamed of it.

My journey with Burges Salmon began when I applied for a training contract in 1995 whilst in the second year of my Law and Economics course at Leicester University. Having experienced working life in London on a vacation placement at a city firm, I decided Bristol and Burges Salmon was the place for me. Following a two year training contract comprising of six four month seats all around the firm, I elected to qualify into the highly regarded property department. As a junior property lawyer I was not pigeon-holed into a specialised area but was instead allowed a broad experience of investment, finance, landlord and tenant and development work. Whilst working fairly hard, there has always been time for my passion for athletics and involvement in local community based charities not to mention time to spend with the wife and kids.

Shariah (Islamic law) and particularly Islamic finance is an area in which I am personally very interested. QUESTION: What are issues and recommendations for solutions that are unique to Muslim Americans?

1. A Law against harrassment  [sic] of a Muslim women wearing Hijab at the Airport, DMV and other public arenas.

2. Institute a Law to allow Muslim Employees to take a hours off from work for Friday Jummah Prayer.

3. Make the 2 Eid's, recognized National Holidays on Calendars with days off from work.

4. Optional Halal meals in federal buildiings, [sic] public schools and colleges.

5. Provide prayer areas suitable for Salah and Jummah, in public and private facilities. (i.e. Malls, Airports, Universities and government buildings.)

6. Organize a Muslim American group to assist in recommendations for US foreign policy affecting majority Muslim countries.

Just about the only thing missing from this obnoxious wish list for special privilege is the grand enabler of them all: repeal of the First Amendment. Footbaths and special gym hours for Muslim women are apparently already considered work in progress.

Bush's remarks were utterly misreported. BBC World also reported in similar terms.

Does the BBC misreport and lie whenever it comes to George Bush? Please can I have a none cliche ridden and patronising answer to this query please.

The Arabs have co-opted her so completely and Bush incomprehensively believes in her and so what we have here is surrender in chunks.The terrible pity is when the consequences of these annihilationist moves begin to unfold Israel will have no choice. Well, it was unlikely that Rice , who is here, would have readily walked away without further concessions from Israel for the sake of the "peace process." Some concessions, of some sort, from our craven, appeasing government. But what has taken place is above and beyond.

After Rice met with Defense Minister Barak and PA Prime Minister Fayyad here in Jerusalem, she actually said she was "amazed" by the gestures being advanced by Israel. I don't wonder at her amazement, as this sort of one-sided, tushy-kissing effort to be nice to an entity that in fact wishes us gone is quite breath-taking. But, rather than being "amazed," I'm just plain shocked. And outraged.

Rice announced that a number of concrete actions will be taken to improve the situation.

Take a deep breath before reading this list of Barak's major offers:

[] The establishment of a Palestinian city (or series of neighborhoods) north of the town of al-Bireh, outside of Ramallah, to be paid for by a Jordanian businessman, to alleviate housing shortages in the Ramallah area. It would house tens of thousands of Palestinians.

This strikes me as most offensive of all . After the PA screams bloody murder about building a few hundred units in existing communities, and just one day after Abbas lied about this and said we were doing unprecedented building, we make this offer?

[] Increasing the number of laborers allowed into Israel to 5,000.

[] Taking down one checkpoint and 50 roadblocks , in order to ease the movement of Palestinians between the cities of Jenin, Tulkarm, Kalkilya and Ramallah.

As I remember, these roadblocks went up because easy movement between these cities allowed weapons to be transported.

[] Easing of restrictions on Palestinian public figures.

But just about a week ago a Palestinian official was caught smuggling large numbers of phones from Jordan.

[] Easing security checks for Palestinian businessmen.

Of course, a businessman would never aid a terrorist.

Barak further suggested:

[] Upgrading the infrastructure for aiding the Palestinians waiting at the crossings, the cost of which is estimated at NIS 8.3 million.

[] Transferring 325 cars and logistic equipment from the IDF to the Palestinian security organizations, including generators, blankets and first aid kits.

I have on occasion commented that our leaders who take such actions are crazy. But I've been cautioned by some readers to avoid saying that, because truly crazy people are absolved of responsibility for their actions -- and the comment is on the mark.

What I will say, instead, is that this is very sick, but that Barak remains fully responsible for his decisions.

You may be wondering what the PA will be offering in all of this. After all, Fayyad and Barak met together to put forward suggests to improve the situation.

Well, it was agreed that the Palestinian security forces must assume "greater responsibility."

I did not note a precise delineation of responsibility for what.

They also agreed to step up efforts to "prevent terror."

Again, that vagueness. Nothing that could be quantified or measured -- the way Barak's promises on taking down 50 roadblocks or allowing 5,000 laborers into Israel can be measured.

I heard tonight, by the way, from a very reliable source that Rice said today that the US would be watching Israel closely to see that these commitments were honored.

But the Palestinians? Hey, they can say they made an effort to prevent terror, they gave it their best.

And Fayyad? This particular son of a bitch refused to make a public statement with Olmert and Rice. Take all that's offered, but not be seen to be too close to Israeli leader, who is an enemy of Palestine, after all. The photo op would not have served him in the street, which admires Hamas.

And as if this is not bad enough, Barak and Olmert are making gestures to Syria regarding resuming peace negotiations.

From a military perspective this is a disaster. I heard Maj. Gen (res) Yaakov Amidror -- former Commander of the IDF's National Defense College and currently with the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs -- speak on a panel sponsored by Likud Anglo tonight. As Syria's demand for peace is return of the Golan Heights, his assessment was that negotiating peace with Syria might mean we would ultimately find ourselves fighting Iranians in the Galil.

Another panel member, Dan Diker -- Director of the Institute for Contemporary Affairs and a Senior Foreign Policy Analyst at the Jerusalem Center for Public Affairs -- made this incisive observation: Timing is everything. We have just seen that heads of major Arab countries are snubbing Syria by not participating in the conference in Damascus. And now? Now is the time we pick to undercut that message and confer legitimacy on Syria by reaching out to Assad?

A theme of this panel was the recognition that concessions don't work. Israel, in 1993, had the notion that the more we gave the more the world would respect us. But the reverse has happened, as the world has lost respect for us and has stopped understanding that we have legitimate rights in this land. As we fail to stand up for ourselves, it is the Palestinian narrative that is being internalized internationally.

One last comment before closing: I heard it tonight from an American with major contacts (as I've hard it before from an international lawyer here with Washington DC connections): Rice is running the show, and she's doing the work of Saudi Arabia. But Bush's attitude towards Israel is not the same as Rice's. He is being seriously misled: By Rice, whom he trusts, and by the PA leaders, whose lovely words of peace he trusts, and by the Israeli leaders, who tell him how much we're willing to give up.

THERE IS NO MODERATE ISLAM

Must read. This is the terrible truth being kept from the public. If people understood what we are up against we would approach the war vastly differently.

Indian journalist [2] Kanchan Gupta (hat tip, N.S. Rajaram) admits his naivete, and makes a confessional (in a column from today’s (3/30/08) [3] Daily Pioneer) that our “intelligentsia” in journalism (and beyond), purportedly “covering” Islam, should read, and ponder: 

There was a time of innocence when I believed in the thesis that there is more than one Islam. There were those with whom you could swap ideas, share jokes and even the cup that cheers. A decade later, during which time I spent three years in Cairo and traveled more than once into the heart of Islam - well, almost, since non-Muslims are not allowed beyond Jeddah, the gateway to Mecca and Medina - I stand converted to the view that any talk of there being a moderate Islam or Islam as a religion of peace merely because of the salutation sa’laam is so much bunkum 

In any event, the ummah sees Islam as a religion that demands absolute submission, which is not really the same as a religion that is predicated on peace and equality. And although the Quran does not stress on compulsion, it does not overflow with kindness towards those who do not submit to god’s will either. The best they can hope for is to be protected by a treaty (dhimmah), which in this day and age would mean unlimited appeasement, and the privileges of the dhimmi are purchased by paying jiziya apart from humiliating conditions of subservience, for instance communal budgeting and a “Muslim first’” policy, as is being done in our country.>

The so-called moderate Muslims who till now have skillfully used doublespeak to position themselves as representatives of the ummah, more so in liberal democracies. Their status is now seriously threatened by those who have no hesitation in acknowledging the true nature of Islam both as a faith and a weapon of subjugation.Those who believe in liberty and freedom of thought need not fear either.

We posted on courageous Dr. Wafa Sultan's second al-Jazeera interview that included a debate with Egyptian Islamist, Tal'at Rheim on the republication of the Danish Mohammed cartoons. Subsequent to the March 4th Al-Jazeera interview, Egyptian Islamist Sheik al-Qaradawi issued a Fatwa against her. Sultan and her family have gone into hiding.

Our ally , Bob Spencer of Jihad Watch has called Sultan " a national and international treasure". Having met Dr. Sultan, we agree.

Yesterday, we received email s from Joyce and Persia expressing concerns about the lack of 24/7 personal security protection for Dr. Sultan. Note that in Holland, Dutch Parliamentarian Geert Wilders received 24/7 security from his government with the release of his important film, "Fitna". Her safety is the equivalent of what the British government did for author Salman Rushdie when the Ayatollahs of the Islamic Republic of Iran issued a Fatwa calling for his death with the publication of his book, 'The Satanic Verses". Our government should consider doing the same for Dr. Sultan, an American citizen who is the subject of a death threat from an Islamist Cleric, Sheik al-Qarawadi.

She asked us to help her by submitting a letter to the Embassy of Qatar. Qatar hosts the 24/7 Arab language satellite TV channel Al-Jazeera.

Sultan has been forced into hiding and needs our help for her valued and courageous stands against radical Islamism.

As an American citizen I am appalled by the rage, threats and hateful rhetoric leveled against Dr. Wafa Sultan by Egyptian Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi.

Al-Qaradawi does not have the right to issue religious edicts, or "fatwas" against persons residing in the U.S., who express their opinions in an attempt to uphold the truth. In fact, it was this type of hateful rhetoric, threats and rage that compelled Dr. Sultan to speak out in the first place. As a result of al-Qaradawi's actions to exact revenge and incite hatred against Dr. Sultan, she has now been forced into hiding.

These are extraordinary charges against Dr. Sultan made by al-Qaradawi, who states them in a manner which his fellow jihadists understand perfectly. In fact, we all understand exactly what he is threatening.

Given that al-Qaradawi has justified suicide attacks against innocent civilians and American soldiers in Iraq, it is abundantly clear that he encourages violence and threats of death over civil discourse and free speech.

Law enforcement officials should take this latest threat against Wafa Sultan very seriously indeed.

Islam has overtaken Roman Catholicism as the biggest single religious denomination in the world, the Vatican said on Sunday.

Monsignor Vittorio Formenti, who compiled the Vatican's newly-released 2008 yearbook of statistics, said Muslims made up 19.2 percent of the world's population and Catholics 17.4 percent.

"For the first time in history we are no longer at the top: the Muslims have overtaken us," Formenti told Vatican newspaper L'Osservatore Romano in an interview, saying the data referred to 2006.

He said that if all Christian groups were considered, including Orthodox churches, Anglicans and Protestants, then Christians made up 33 percent of the world's population -- or about 2 billion people.

The Vatican recently put the number of Catholics in the world at 1.13 billion people. It did not provide a figure for Muslims, generally estimated at around 1.3 billion.

Formenti said that while the number of Catholics as a proportion of the world's population was fairly stable, the percentage of Muslims was growing because of higher birth rates.

He said the data on Muslim populations had been compiled by individual countries and then released by the United Nations, adding the Vatican could only vouch for its own statistics.

More Iranian Weapons found in Iraq

Iran established the Ramazan Corps in western Iran to manage the covert war inside Iraq in early 2003. The Ramazan Corps is an arm of Qods Force, the special operations branch of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps. The Ramazan Corps is responsible for smuggling weapons and cash into the Mahdi Army and the Special Groups terror cells, as well as recruiting and training Iraqi operatives.

I said this last week and I will say it again. Everyone is talking about should we or shouldn't we go to war with Iran, take out their nukes. The thing is, IRAN IS ALREADY AT WAR WITH US waging it the most effective way they know, through Iranian foreign legions (Hamas, Hezb'Allah) and their proxy Syria.

Just because we (in the West) won't acknowledge it, or prefer to ignore it, doesn't mean it doesn't exist. It means you forfeit. In any battle, war or any "competition", if you fail to show up, you lose.

Yesterday afternoon I posted a link to the LiveLeak website which streams Geert Wilders new film "Fitna" within the Comcast Community "News and Current Events" Forum.

My post read as follows:

"Dutch parliamentarian Geert Wilders film "Fitna the Movie" was released globally on the web this afternoon. This film is a MUST SEE." Fitna the Movie (which was an active html link to the LiveLeak website).

Within minutes of that posting, which was made under an anonymous username, so-called "moderate Muslims" made posts denying that the texts quoted in the film were from the Qur’an, and had apparently notified Comcast of the offensive post existence on the forum.

The employees of Comcast promptly and permanently banned my account and deleted the thread without a trace.

My banning and thread deletion notification stated that Geert Wilders "Fitna" contained "racial and extremely graphic content." This is virtually the same grievance cited by a Muslim Indonesian Foreign Ministry spokesman against the film as published by Reuters and currently available a couple of pages deep on the Comcast website. "The peoples need to pressure their governments to take such a stand and prove to the world that the Muslim Ummah is still alive."

Morocco's Communications Minister Khalid Naciri said Wilders was "mentally retarded".

Iran said the 17-minute film showed Westerners were waging a "vendetta" against Islam, and warned of repercussions. A Jordanian media coalition said they would take Wilders to court and launch a campaign to boycott Dutch products.

Training Day in Ain al Hilwe  TIME Blog

Just got back from a long day in Ain al Hilwe, the largest Palestinian refugee camp in Lebanon, where among other things, I visited a training center for young fighters run by Fatah.

The camp trains some 200 children (boys and a few girls ages 6 to 18) about a dozen of whom live in the barracks full time, several having dropped out of school. Here they learn to use firearms, practice hand-to-hand combat, and are taught Palestinian nationalist ideology. In these photos, blindfolded young fighters disassemble and re-assmble assault rifles (above), and make presentations about the specifications and capabilities of various common weapons, including rocket propelled grenades (below).

The mainstream Palestinian political parties in in Lebanese camps are more militant than their counterparts in Israel and the occupied territories, in part because they represent refugees. Since most Palestinians in Lebanon are descendants of those who fled during the 1948 war that led to the creation of Israel, they are particularly concerned that their right to return to their lands and homes will be negotiated away or watered down in a peace settlement.

Others just want to live anywhere but in a Lebanese refugee camp.

An acute decapitation prevention alert may be in order for Mr. Jami, if and when his film is shown, based upon these pre-release details:

“Netwerk [a current affairs program]  showed a drawing from the film, which is entitled The Life of Mohammed. The drawing shows the prophet Mohammed in the company of his 9-year-old wife Aisha. The prophet is on his way to a mosque to deflower his bride.”

Herndon, Va.-based Network Solutions said Wednesday that it suspended Hizbollah.org, an official site of Hezbollah, a Lebanese political and paramilitary group.

Turns out, Network Solutions, which was one of the original firms in the domain registration business, was accepting payment for the domain in violation of a U.S. law that bars American companies from doing business with organizations listed by Uncle Sam as terrorist groups. Closer inspection also reveals that Network Solutions and other U.S.-based Internet service providers and domain registrars provide services to other groups on the government's list of terrorist organizations.

For example, Network Solutions also is the registrar for The Palestine Information Center (palestine-info.com), a Web site tied to Hamas, a group listed on the U.S. State Department's list of Foreign Terrorist Organizations. FTOs are designated under section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, which makes it illegal "for a person in the United States or subject to the jurisdiction of the United States to knowingly provide 'material support or resources' to a designated FTO."

In addition, Network Solutions collects registration fees for Hamas Web properties palestine-info-urdu.com, palestine-info.net, and fm-m.org, the Web site for the Hamas publication "Filistin Almusalima".

Aaron Weisburd, a terrorism expert who tracks terror-related Web sites at his site InternetHaganah.com, said he alerted Network Solutions to the offending domains more than a year ago.

"This has been going on for years," Weisburd said.

The solution I propose requires great political courage. Only an extraordinarily brave politician would consider it, and I hope and pray that Barack Obama is such a person. There remains the fact that there are millions of Palestinians living in the land where they and their ancestors were born without citizenship rights, and this constitutes an injustice that cries out to the world and cannot be covered up or denied. It is a moral stain that makes both Israel and its major ally, the United States, hated all over the world, and especially, of course, by hundreds of millions of Arabs who sympathize with their oppressed brethren in Palestine. The dispossession of Palestinians of their land by Jewish nationalists is a moral crime that must be righted for there to be peace in the Middle East, for there is no peace without justice. But the old Palestine is gone and the clock cannot be turned back. We must move forward to multicultural democracy, to a country and a world in which all human beings are equal.

The essential fact which is preventing resolution of the conflict is this: If Israel is defined as a “Jewish state”, Israel cannot be a democracy. Israel claims to be a democracy, but it is not, because in a democracy there cannot be discrimination on the basis of race, religion or national origin. The original framers of Zionist ideology at the end of the 19th century did not understand or value democracy, and the whole Zionist project has been undemocratic from the very beginning. As a “Jewish state”, Israel discriminates against non-Jews, that is, against the original Palestinian inhabitants of the country. Israel is conceived as “the national expression of the will of the Jewish people”. As long as this is true, non-Jews can have no political power. Arab “citizens” of Israel are such in name only, for they have no real political power. There is the unavoidable consequence. Therefore, there can be no justice for Palestinians until Israel is transformed from a “Jewish state” into a multicultural democracy where citizenship is independent of religion, race or national origin. In other words, the Israel-Palestine conflict should be treated, not as a war between two countries that can be settled by drawing an agreed-upon border (the two-state solution) but rather as a civil rights struggle within one country, Israel. We should take South Africa as our model of a successful resolution of such a conflict, and Nelson Mandela as our model of a leader who could make such a resolution possible.

BBC TRANSLATES THEIR TERROR PROPAGANDA INTO ARABIC

The BBC IS NOW BOOSTING ISLAMIC TERROR. Not hard to believe considering the BBC was just caught Red-Handed on Anti-Israel, False Coverage. We are at war within and out.
 

THE BBC'S ARABIC PROPAGANDA The Spectator

Trevor Asserson is a British lawyer (who now lives in Israel) who for years has campaigned against the BBC’s bias against Israel. He has now produced an even more serious charge against the BBC — that during the 2006 Lebanon war, the BBC’s Arabic service provided a platform for the campaign by Hezbollah and Iran to delegitimise and demonise both the USA and Israel in the eyes of the Arabic speaking world.

With Deena Pinson, he recorded, translated and transcribed the BBC’s principal news analysis programme, Hadeeth Al-Sa’a, for a period of four weeks from 19 July to 20 August 2006. Their report (you can down load the pdf at number 6) says that during that period the programme put on 17 spokespeople for Hizbollah and Iran amongst programme guests but only 5 for Israel. It comments:

Many programme guests expressed blatantly and viciously anti American positions… In addition we came across a number of quite extreme statements. For example we were told that the bombing of an electricity station was a ‘crime’ which is ‘unprecedented historically’ and we learn that it is US policy ‘to crush the Palestinians completely and to take all of their lands.’ When comments as extreme as this go uncorrected and unchallenged, the BBC appears to have tossed its moral compass into the waves and completely to have lost its bearings…

The BBC Arabic gives little indication of the destruction, the evacuations and the deaths (often of Israeli Arabs), caused by the thousands of Hizbollah rockets fired into Israel. By contrast some of the language used to describe Israel is hysterical in tone and the translated transcript reads like an Islamist extremist tract.

The implications of such findings are clearly far more serious than merely transgressing the BBC’s own impartiality guidelines. When such propaganda is transmitted back into the Arabic-speaking world – and with the kite-mark of BBC journalistic integrity, no less -- this is bound to incite yet more violence and aggression, turning the BBC effectively into an accomplice of Iran against America and Israel. As the report comments:

Furthermore, since the Arabic service is funded by the Foreign Office it is the British taxpayer who is being turned by the BBC into an unwitting accomplice of Iran in its war against the free world -- and because this is an Arabic service, no-one knows about it. One would have thought that the British government would be using every means possible to broadcast truth into the Arabic-speaking world in order to combat the lies that are inciting the masses against the west. Instead, its principal organ appears to be transmitting to that Arabic-speaking world exactly the same lies and incitement.

Given the current state of world affairs – and with the BBC just having launched an Arabic TV service to rival al Jazeera -- surely these revelations should now be raised in the House of Commons as a matter of urgency?

Terrorists with Nuclear Material

Nothing is more dangerous than terrorist with nuclear material - even if it is for a dirty bomb.  So the fact FARC terrorists in South America were found with 66 pounds of depleted uranium should be a wake up call.  If FARC and AQ have joined forces (and who knows?) then the fact they had nuclear material is a serious warning sign.

Arab Rocket Hits PreSchool

Kassam rocket hits preschool on a kibbutz; no wounded Israel News

Three Kassam rockets were fired at Israel from the northern Gaza Strip on Friday morning, one of them hitting the outer wall of a preschool in one of the kibbutzim in the Sha'ar Hanegev region moments after the children were taken inside by their teacher.

The teacher and a parent of one of the children suffered shock and the building was damaged.

Two other Kassam rockets that were fired at the western Negev landed in open areas and caused no wounded or damage.

UN rights council passes Islamic resolution on religious defamation hat tip ejo

The top UN rights body on Thursday passed a resolution proposed by Islamic countries saying it is deeply concerned about the defamation of religions and urging governments to prohibit it.

The European Union said the text was one-sided because it primarily focused on Islam. EU countries, including France, Germany and Britain, voted against. Previously EU diplomats had said they wanted to stop the growing worldwide trend of using religious anti-defamation laws to limited free speech. The document, which was put forward by the Organization of the Islamic Conference, ''expresses deep concern at attempts to identify Islam with terrorism, violence and human rights violations.'' (AP)

Phyllis Chesler opiines, Liveleak is apparently based in the UK. I did not like what they said about "understanding other cultures" in their explanation for why they took it down after being threatened. Viewing the film is the BEST way to "understand" this other culture of hatred.

UPDATE: ATLAS OBSERVATION: This is a great film and I will tell you why. It is powerful and succinct. There is no editorial, no opinion. Just Islam. There are the violent acts of war by Islam and the Koranic verses that call for them. There is nothing incendiary except for the actual word of the Koran. It pulls together, for the the misinformed public, what is really happening around them, why it is happening. And while it is nothing we haven't seen (MEMRI, PMW, blogs etc.), FITNA (because of its controversial nature)  had sufficient publicity to whet the public's appetite. Other films that have more depth and give a more complete picture of the long war (ie Obsession) were viewed by only a handful of already clued in citizens.

The misinformed public, by and large, have been saturated with the  fallacious meme about peaceful Muslims when really what we are talking about are non-practicing or secular or lapsed Muslims vs. those that adhere to the basic tenets of Islam. This  is a critical distinction that is never made. A pious Muslim is compelled, is required to be a supporter of jihad.

"A religion of peace" but only under a pax Islamica - one world living under Islam (that part is always left out).

I hope and I pray that FITNA is viewed buy millions, billions even of freedom loving peoples the world over so that we can finally begin to develop a strategy that will succeed against an enemy we have willfully failed to recognize or understand. The film is simple and brilliant.

Anti-Qur'an film Fitna goes online  Radio Netherlands hat tip wolf

The Hague -Dutch politician Geert Wilders has released his anti-Qur'an film, Fitna, on the internet. The website of his Party for Freedom (www.pvv.nl) contains a link to the site where the film, which lasts approximately 16 minutes, can be seen.

Before it begins, viewers are warned that they may see shocking images; these include pictures of the terrorist attacks in New York, Madrid and London. Fitna also contains fragments of interviews with the Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh, translations of verses from the Qur'an, newspaper headlines about death threats to Ayaan Hirsi Ali and quotes from sermons delivered by orthodox imams. It also notes that the number of Muslims living in the Netherlands has risen from 54,000 to 944,000 over the last hundred years.

Towards the end, a hand is shown grabbing a page of the Qur'an; the image is accompanied by the sound of tearing paper. Dutch subtitles then explain that the sound was that of a page being torn from a telephone book. In a written declaration, Mr Wilders declares that it is not up to him to tear malicious verses out of the Qur'an, but that Muslims themselves must do that.

1945 saw the triumph of democracy over Nazism and 1989 the fall of Communism. Mr Wilders believes that that the time has now come for Islamist ideology to be defeated.

Muslim group seeks fine for Dutch lawmaker, ban on anti-Quran film

A Dutch judge is due on Friday to hear the petition of a Muslim group seeking an independent review of an anti-Quran film by lawmaker Geert Wilders to see whether it violates hate speech laws.

Showing the attacks on the West on 9/11 is now going to be considered hate speech?

The petition, seen by The Associated Press Thursday at the Hague District Court, says the Dutch Islamic Federation "believes the situation of Muslims in the Netherlands today is comparable with that of our Jewish fellow-citizens in the 1930s."

*SPIT* The twist this time is the "victims" are the ones doing all the killing, beheading, mass murder ....

The federation asked for a fine of $79,000 per day if Wilders airs the film, and a $7,900 fine for each future instance of an "injuring remark."

New flash from Denmark: Kurt Westergaard, he of bomb-head Mohammed cartoon fame, is planning to sue Geert Wilders for Wilders' use of his cartoon in Fitna. Oh, brother. (Psst, Kurt: Every time somebody reprints your terrific cartoon, freedom of speech in the West is upheld, remember? The problem has been, so very few media outlets have had the guts to do so. Meanwhile, a coalition of Jordanian media says they will take Mr Wilders to court over the film and urged Arab leaders to review ties with Denmark and the Netherlands.

"We held an urgent meeting Thursday evening and decided to sue extremist and Zionist deputy Geert Wilders," over the film deemed offensive to the Koran, Islam's holiest book, coalition spokesman Zakaria al-Sheikh said.

Sheikh said the coalition of 30 Jordanian independent newspapers, websites and radios would also initiate a campaign to boycott Dutch products in addition to launching legal proceedings against Mr Wilders in Jordan.

He also urged Arab leaders at a weekend summit in Damascus "to denounce campaigns hostile to Islam and review their ties with countries like Denmark and the Netherlands where these campaigns were launched".

A handful of Muslim countries had responded early Friday, with Iran saying the short movie showed some Westerners were waging a "vendetta" against Islam, and warning of unspecified repercussions.

Bangladesh also said the film could have "grave consequences", while a coalition of Jordanian media said it would sue Mr Wilders and launch a campaign to boycott Dutch products.

The European Union's Slovenian Presidency also attacked the film, saying it served "no other purpose than inflaming hatred."

But Muslim leaders in The Netherlands called at a joint press conference for their co-religionists in other countries not to over-react.

"We call on them to follow our strategy and not react with attacks on Dutch embassies or tourists," the head of the Dutch Moroccan community, Mohamed Rabbae, said.

"We feel offended by the link between violence and Islam but we know this guy [and] the best response is a response in a responsible manner."

UPDATE Pete Hoekstra in The Wall Street Journal. Mr. Hoekstra, who was born in the Netherlands, is ranking Republican on the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence..

ISLAM AND FREE SPEECH

Radical jihadists are prepared to use violence against individuals to stop them from exercising their free speech rights. In some countries, converting a Muslim to another faith is a crime punishable by death. While Muslim clerics are free to preach and proselytize in the West, some Muslim nations severely restrict or forbid other faiths to do so. In addition, moderate Muslims around the world have been deemed apostates and enemies by radical jihadists.

Radical jihadists believe representative government is un-Islamic, and urge Muslims who live in democracies not to exercise their right to vote. The reason is not hard to understand: When given a choice, most Muslims reject the extreme approach to Islam. This was recently demonstrated in Iraq's Anbar Province, which went from an al-Qaeda stronghold to an area supporting the U.S.-led coalition. This happened because the populace came to intensely dislike the fanatical ways of the radicals, which included cutting off fingers of anyone caught smoking a cigarette, 4 p.m. curfews, beatings and beheadings. There also were forced marriages between foreign-born al Qaeda fighters and local Sunni women.

There may be a direct relationship between the radical jihadists' opposition to democracy and their systematic abuse of women. Women have virtually no rights in this radical world: They must conceal themselves, cannot hold jobs, and have been subjected to honor killings. Would most women in Muslim countries vote for a candidate for public office who supported such oppressive rules?

It is a major foreign policy blunder that the next administration, Democrat or Republican, may never recover from. It represents a direct threat to the international order of nation-states. That is why many nations have not recognized this new state of Kosovo. They realize that Kosovo’s independence could spark other groups to wage wars against established regimes around the world.
