BBC Creates News ... Real reporting is ...
SO YESTERDAY
Mike over at Money Tennis Centre caught the BBC with their short pants down. He writes:
This story hasn't gotten the attention it merits. Please take a moment to check it out.
The BBC flat-out lied when it reported President Bush's speech on the fifth anniversary of the invasion of Iraq on its website last week. It headlined the story 'Bush speech hails Iraq victory', when he said no such thing, and selectively edited his words in the story itself to again suggest he was 'claiming victory'.
The BBC clearly thinks it's acceptable to put words into the mouth of the US President in order to discredit him. The deception was designed to expose the President to ridicule from the BBC's viewers, and it worked.I posted on the BBC report and shortly thereafter the BBC changed the headline, and they removed other inaccuracies after I emailed them.
The first link above is to my fourth and latest post on the subject, which includes a round-up, and I also have some general thoughts on media bias and how it endangers our troops.
Now you see it…
Now you don't…
Exhibiting a thoroughness worthy of Orwell's Ministry of Truth, the BBC has been busy erasing all traces of the corporation's blatantly dishonest reporting of President Bush's speech on the fifth anniversary of the Iraq invasion.
I'll provide a quick recap for anyone who's new to the story (you might also want to read, in the following order, my previous three posts) before bringing things up to date. On Wednesday the BBC reported the speech under the headline 'Bush speech hails Iraq "victory"'. The headline was supported by the following sentence in the story:
There's more. Go.

This is old news.
They edit comments on their web site every second. Doing this they manage to distort the message and reverse the meaning. I gave up commenting on BBS long ago because they make white look black and vice versa.
