It's not true that life is one damn thing after another; it is one damn thing over and over.
Edna St. Vincent Millay
Soar, eat ether, see what has never been seen; depart, be lost, but climb.
Edna St. Vincent Millay
My candle burns at both ends
It will not last the night;
But ah, my foes, and oh, my friends -
It gives a lovely light.
Edna St. Vincen
Granted, Valentine is a holiday with Christian origins and Jews don't observe it either. Still, I find it incomprehensible that some people have something against romantic love. No wonder Islam doesn't get good press with scenes like the one Pamela Geller posted.

Think about what it means to actively ban the public celebration of romantic love.
Hang out with it.
Consider the implications.
Think about what romantic love is.
What it means.
What it says about the lover.
Why it is celebrated. What that says about the culture that celebrates it.
And then visit the notion of the last poster that many cultures don't celebrate St. Valentine's Day as such but only the mohammedans campaign against it and condemn it.
Think about what that suggests about their personal relationships, assuming that they can be described as having any.
Think about what that means about their basic values.
Their outlook on humanity.
This is deep, dark, horrible stuff.
