Trial for Indicted Fundraiser Tony Rezko Set for Monday
With the corruption trial of one of Sen. Barack Obama's
longtime friends and supporters set to begin Monday in Chicago, Ill., reform
watchdogs say it will reveal the "cesspool" of Illinois politics in which Obama
came of age and has said little about in his campaign for president.
"We have a sick political culture," said Jay Stewart, the
executive director of the Chicago Better Government Association, "and that's the
environment that Barack Obama came from." Stewart says he does not
understand why Obama has lectured others about corruption in Washington and
Kenya but "been noticeably silent on the issue of corruption here in his home
state, including at this point, mostly Democratic politicians."
Becuaue Obama is corrupt. Is this why Michelle feels like an outsider?
There was no
immediate comment from the Obama campaign. The trial Monday involves federal
charges of bribery and extortion against Tony Rezko, a real estate developer who
became known in Illinois politics as a behind-the-scenes operator and fixer.
While Obama is not considered a target of the Rezko investigation, Stewart
says it will shed light on a man who was pivotal to Obama's political career.
"This wasn't just some guy who wrote a check once for Barack Obama, it's
someone who was an early supporter and had a personal relationship with Sen.
Obama for quite some time," Stewart said. Indeed, even after he was elected
to the United States Senate, Obama involved Rezko in a land deal that enabled
the senator to buy his current home on Chicago's South Side. Obama has since
called his decision to involve Rezko "a bone-headed mistake." "Tony Rezko is
all that is wrong with the old kind of politics or any kind of politics," said
the Better Government Association's Stewart.
The Rezko trial will focus on
Rezko's alleged role in steering Illinois state contracts in exchange for
kickbacks and political contributions to Rezko friends. The most damning
examples cited by prosecutors involve Illinois Gov. Rod Blagojevich, but several
of the contributions were directed to Obama's 2004 Senate campaign.
A motion
filed by federal prosecutors identifies two instances when Rezko directed
contributions to an unnamed "political candidate" who has since been identified
by Chicago newspapers as Obama. In his campaign for president, Obama has railed
against people like Rezko. "If you are ready for change, then we can go
ahead and tell the lobbyists and the fat cats that their days are over," he said
in a speech last month in Akron, Ohio.

I will not take the truth down or will I tell others that ran my reportage to take down their posts either. A real Jewish Rabbi does not hate Jews or Christians. A real Rabbi does not support Hamas who states plainly in their charter to destroy Israel. What's next? A lawsuit from Hamas for calling them savages?
Feinberg wants a fight. I am anxious for the discovery phase. Dying to know who he is connected to, who he works for and on whose payroll(s) he is on. We need to further investigate his ties to CAIR et al.

A hazmat situation has been unfolding throughout the night. Several federal and local agencies are involved in the investigation into what might be a possible chemical incident.
The incident happened at the Extended Stay America Hotel, not far from the Las Vegas Strip.

MIAMI (AP) -- Power executives are still in the dark
about how a glitch at a substation triggered a blackout that cut power
to millions across south Florida.
The
outage caused gridlock when traffic signals went dead, forced hospitals
to scramble for generators and cut off air conditioners in the
afternoon heat.
The sporadic outages
yesterday spanned 300 miles of the peninsula but appeared to be
concentrated in the southeast portion of the state. Communities along
the southwest coast, in the Florida Keys and as far north as Daytona
Beach reported interruptions.
The president of Florida Power and Light says an equipment malfunction at the substation should not have caused the outages.
The outages initially affected about a fifth of Florida's population.
WAUKEGAN - An explosion ripped through a shopping plaza Thursday in this Chicago suburb
It sent eight people to a hospital, but none with life-threatening injuries, fire officials saidThe
explosion struck around lunchtime in the business district, located
about 40 miles north of Chicago. The impact shattered windows and
collapsed the roof of the plaza, which housed businesses including a
cell phone shop, a tuxedo store and a hair salon.

The body of Katoucha Niane, one of the first African women to attain
international stardom as a model and a vocal opponent of female genital
mutilation, was found in the Seine River, police said Friday. (more here)
The body of former top model Katoucha Niane has been found in the river Seine. Norman wrote, "very
sad, she was a mother and a thoughtful caring person."
The keystone cops say there was no sign of foul play - but she had been missing since
January. I'll bet there is more to this story.
A
statement issued on behalf of UN agencies in Abuja said that another 3 million
girls a year are at risk of undergoing mutilation.
The
agencies said that female genital mutilation has damaging effects on the health
of women, girls and newborn babies.
“It also
violates the rights of women and girls to health, protection and even life, as
the procedure sometimes leads to death,” the statement
said.
Excessive
bleeding and shock are some of the immediate consequences risked by the
procedure.
The
statement noted that the long-term effects could include chronic pain,
infections and trauma: “Recent studies show that women who have undergone
genital mutilation have higher risks for Caesarean sections, longer hospital
stays and post-partum haemorrhaging. Their newborn babies have higher death
rates during and immediately after birth, as well.”
UNICEF
pledged to support governments and communities to end the
practice.
“We
recognize that traditions are often stronger than law, and legal action by
itself is not enough,” the statement said. “Change must also come from within.
This is why it is critical for us to work closely with communities so that they
can bring about sustainable social change.”
Yet another find confirming the Biblical claims about
ancient Jerusalem. This story contains an interesting
twist. Jews apparently innovated in the importance of
individual names, just as the Hebrew Bible is the only
document of national significance in the ancient world
that assigned importance to the names of anyone other

An ancient seal bearing an archaic Hebrew inscription
dating back to the 8th century BCE has been uncovered
in an archeological excavation in Jerusalem's City of
David, the Israel Antiquities Authority announced
Thursday.
The find reveals that by 2,700 years ago, clerks and
merchants had already begun to add their names to the
seals instead of the symbols that were used in earlier
centuries.
The state-run archeological body said the seal, which
was discovered near the Gihon Spring in the City of
David outside the walls of the Old City, bears the
Hebrew name Rephaihu (ben) Shalem, a public official
who lived in the Jerusalem neighborhood during this
period.
The excavation, which is being carried out by Haifa
University Professor Ronny Reich and Eli Shukron of the
Israel Antiquities Authority, also uncovered pottery
shards that date back to the Iron Age 2 (8th century
BCE), which they used to date the seal, as well as
fragments of three bullae, or pieces of clay that were
used to seal letters or goods.
The discovery revealed an interesting development in
the ancient world: whereas during the 9th century BCE
letters and goods were dispatched on behalf of their
senders without names, by the 8th century BCE the
clerks and merchants had already begun to add their
names to the seals, the archeologists said.
"In contrast with the large cluster of bullae that was
found two years ago, in which all of its items contain
graphic symbols [such as a boat or different animals -
fish, lizards and birds] but are of an earlier date
[end of the 9th-beginning of the 8th century BCE], the
new items indicate that during the 8th century BCE the
practice had changed and the clerks who used the seals
began to add their names to them," Reich said.

Union has criticized the new penal code being drafted in Iran, particularly a

that child for life. Islam is Ummehist. Islam doesn’t recognize nationalities
and national boundaries. And these Islamist zealots are very serious and have no

My advice, Obama: Elected
President or not, don’t you hazard a trip to the Islamic Republic of Iran. In
fact, don’t you go anywhere near where the crazed Islamists can get their hands
on you. You don’t even rate a fatwa from one of the many bloodthirsty crafty
Ayatollahs or Moftis, asking for your head. Your fate is already sealed. You are
on automatic, so to speak– a person who was given the gift of Islam and who
ungratefully turned his back to the one and only faith of Allah, so the Muslims
believe. The punishment for this kind of betrayal is prescribed as haad (most
severe), meaning death.
You may protest that you are free to
choose your religion and that you have chosen to be Christian. Nothing doing!
You are stamped as Muslim at conception because your father was Muslim. Further,
you have been doubly-stamped by your middle name Hussein. Muslims name their
sons Hussein in honor of one of Islam’s most revered saints. Hence, the Muslims
want what is theirs and you either repent and return to the fold or prepare
yourself for the ultimate punishment: Death.
Rice Tells Olmert

Monday's rocket
attack put an end to childhood of wounded boy and his sister Anat
Meidan The most gut-wrenching moment was 8-year-old Maria
caressing the forehead of her older brother, Yossi, while he was lying wounded
on the floor of the supermarket. There was no screaming, no panic, and no
crying.

Just
like any other 10-year-old boy who wants his mother at his side during tough
times, he asked where she was, but realized that at that moment mom is not
around. And Yossi, despite the Qassam shrapnel that was lodged in his shoulder,
the blood around him, and the incredible pain, maintained incomprehensible
restraint. He merely muttered that his shoulder hurts, and his little sister,
just like a kind nurse, kept on caressing him.
He realized that only his little sister is near him, and as always he
must protect her, so he drew on some incredible strength, chocked back the
tears, and kept the pain inside him; a child hero who a minute earlier was still
having fun, just like other children anywhere else in the world. He went to play
soccer, after leaving his school bag at home.
So banal, so taken for granted anywhere else, yet so dangerous in
Sderot.
More Than 70
Missiles Hit Sderot and Ashkelon Roni Yechiah, Father of 4,
Killed 70-year-old Woman Wounded
It just won't stop. Another 70 Kassam
missiles hit Sderot yesterday and today, leaving destruction in their wake. And
now Palestinian terrorists have shown they can reach Ashkelon as well.
On Wednesday Roni Yechiah, a 47-year-old father of four, was
killed by a missile that landed just outside of Sapir College in Sderot. Roni,
from Moshav Bit'ha just outside of town, was a career soldier studying logistics
at the college. The explosion riddled his body with shrapnel, and though rescue
workers tried desperately to resuscitate him, he died on the
scene.
Today, as missiles continue to hit homes,
factories, and even a hospital in Ashkelon, at least 17 people were injured,
including a 70-year-old woman.
One Family Fund field workers are there for each of the
families victimized by Palestinian missiles. As Roni Yechiah's wife and four
children mourn his death, they will need OneFamily's financial and emotional
support. We will be there for them and all the victims of missiles and terror in
Israel.
Those of us living in safety and calm are reaching
out to show our support and to help the people of Sderot who are truly paying
the price of living in a free Israel.

Dirty Politics. That is a common practice by Democratic Candidates. Hillary
Clinton is now using a tactic the press calls the "Kitchen Sink Strategy"
because in her desperation of trying to stop the rise of Barack Hussein Obama,
it seems like she is throwing everything at him but the kitchen
sink.
John Murtha is another cheating, lying, unscrupulous politician
that will do anything in his power to ensure his 34 year reign in the United
States Congress continues.
John Murtha's years in Congress have been
spotted with scandals. In 1980 Murtha became embroiled in the Abscam
investigation. He was videotaped participating in unethical activities, but
ultimately was never indicted or charged. He agreed to testify against Frank
Thompson (D-NJ) and John Murphy (D-NY), the two Congressmen mentioned as
participants in the scandal, who were videotaped placing cash bribes in their
trousers. The FBI videotaped Murtha responding to an offer of $50,000, with
Murtha saying, "I'm not interested... at this point. If we do business for a
while, maybe I'll be interested, maybe I won't." After that Murtha offered to
provide names of businesses and banks in his district where money could be
invested legally. The U.S. Attorneys Office was of the opinion that Murtha's
intentions were to obtain investment in his district. Yeah, right. Like I
believe that.
When it came to America's entrance into the Battlefield in
Iraq, Murtha voted in support for the October 2002 resolution authorizing the
use of force against Saddam Hussein's Iraq. In early 2005 Murtha argued against
the withdrawal of American troops from Iraq saying, "A premature withdrawal of
our troops based on a political timetable could rapidly devolve into a civil war
which would leave America’s foreign policy in disarray as countries question not
only America’s judgment but also its perseverance."
Then, suddenly in
late 2005 he changed his tune and said, "The U.S. cannot accomplish anything
further in Iraq militarily. It is time to bring them home." He later indicated
that he was calling for redeployment as opposed to a withdrawal to appease
critics. I think he realized the rest of the lefties in the Democratic Party was
believing that, and changed his tune so that he could be in goose-step right

He has also said that terrorists desire an American military
presence in Iraq, proclaiming, "I think they’re trying to get this
administration to stay. I think they want us there. Because we have united the
Iraqis against us. We’re spending all this money and diverting our resources
away from the war on terrorism because we’re involved in a civil war in
Iraq."
After Karl Rove stated in response to Murtha's withdrawal
statement, "After the United States cuts and runs from Iraq, what country in the
Middle East would take us?" Murtha was asked by Tim Russert to respond. He said,
"We can go to Okinawa. We can redeploy there almost instantly." Recently,
however, even John Murtha has reluctantly admitted the troop surge in Iraq is
working.
Then, after the Haditha Marines incident in November, 2005, of
which nearly all of the Marines involved have been acquitted because the
evidence does not jive with the Media's telling of the incident, and no wrong
doing has been proven, Murtha said about our U.S. Marines in Iraq, ". . .they
killed innocent civilians in cold blood. . ."
Murtha's "Cold Blooded
Killers" remark sparked anger and rage among Republicans and Conservatives
alike. William Russell has demanded John Murtha apologize for the remark. An
apology has not been issued yet.
Now, Murtha is up to his dirty politics
again, but now it is beyond comparison. In a court battle, Murtha
has arranged to have his only opponent tossed off the ballot. This leaves no
other Republicans to battle against Murtha, giving him a free path right back
into the United States Congress.
Fellow Conservative Blogger, I ask that
you rally behind William
Russell. Blog about this unethical move by Murtha. Expose John Murtha as the
coward he is, and let folks know what's going on. I urge that we begin a
national effort to get Russell back on the ballot! We cannot vote in his
district, but we can spread the word to have folks contribute to his campaign so
that he has the funds to contact voters, and have them place him back on the
ballot by writing Russell in on the April 22 primary ballot.

I was a fulltime Lieutenant Colonel in the United States Army Reserve, stationed at the Pentagon and a little over 2 years short of full, active duty retirement. Until March of 2007, my wife Kasia and I were looking forward to finishing out my Army career and moving to southern or southwestern Pennsylvania after I retired from the Army.
But last March I had the opportunity to meet with some of our Wounded Warriors during their visit to the Pentagon. I have always been impressed by the spirit and good cheer of so many of these wounded heroes but also understand the sullen responses from some. Seeing these Soldiers, Marines, and Airmen with missing and shattered limbs, two with missing eyes and wounded faces, I found myself wiping away the tears as I walked back to my office. I was both sadden and angered that the sacrifices these brave service men and women, like the others I have served with in combat, make for this country and the thought of how they are betrayed by the actions of politicians such as John Murtha.
But seeing those Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, and Airmen who have given so much to this nation, both enraged and saddened me. It also forced me to recognize that the United States is now engaged in a great political battle to determine whether this nation, founded in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal, can maintain the political resolve in its fight against a totalitarian political system, cloaked in religion, which is dedicated to the destruction of our liberty. I believe I must stand up and make a difference in this fight and not wait for two more years until I retire.
Congressman Murtha’s actions have done more to lead us toward political defeat in this war than the enemy could ever hope to accomplish by their own devices. His calls for withdrawal of our forces and limiting the authority of the Commander-in-Chief in executing this war, plays directly into the hands of our enemy. He is undermining our Soldiers in the fight and encourages the enemy to kill or maim a few more of our Soldiers and kill large numbers of Iraqi civilians on a weekly basis. The Islamic extremists, just like the communists in Vietnam, see his weakness of political resolve as the reason to keep fighting in spite of their military losses. He must be replaced with a candidate who understands the importance of an integrated political, military, and economic strategy that does not pit political ends against military and economic, but synchronizes and orchestrates them with the recognition of the imperative to achieve the victory that this war demands for the safety of our children and grandchildren.

TWO Republicans (count them!) went to court and demanded a judge disqualify Russell for insufficient valid signatures to place his name on the ballot. Apparently - according to the Republicans - Russell had only 993 signatures of the 1000 needed. Russell has been forced to drop out because he has no money to fight the court battle."

Murtha’s GOP opponent tossed off ballot
Republican William Russell knew that he faced an uphill battle when he decided to challenge longtime Democratic U.S. Rep. John Murtha.
Now, Russell’s battle may have ended before a single vote has been cast.
A Commonwealth Court judge on Tuesday ruled that Russell does not have enough valid petition signatures to appear on the April 22 primary ballot.
Russell, a veteran of both Iraq wars who quit his Army job and moved to Johnstown to run against Murtha, said he will not appeal.
“I don’t have the resources to fight a protracted court battle,” the former Washington, D.C., resident said.
With no other Republicans filing to run in the 12th Congressional District, Russell still has a chance to win his party’s nomination.
He would need at least 1,000 voters to write his name on primary ballots, and he would have to be the top vote-getter among any write-in candidates.
Russell is not sure whether he will campaign for write-in votes.
“We’ll make that decision in the coming days,” he said.
The challenge to Russell’s petitions came from two local Republicans and was backed by Murtha’s campaign.
Commonwealth Court Judge Robert Simpson ruled that Russell’s petitions contained only 993 valid signatures – seven short of the 1,000 needed.

I am not a racist. Tough to prove a negative. But I refuse to dhimmi down and STFU. Too much is wrong. Obama's narrative is being altered, enhanced and manipulated to whitewash troubling facts. Mosques are being used to electioneer for Obama. Arabs and Muslims in Islamic countries endorse Obama. Unindicted co-conspirator and Hamas sympathizer CAIR endorses him. Why would they endorse an apostate? There is no record of Obama ever having been baptized. Did he leave Islam and become Christian?
The "An American Expat in Southeast
Asia" blog reports that Obama's Indonesian schooling began when he was entered into the
Roman Catholic, Franciscus Assisi Primary School on January 1, 1968 and sat in
class 1B. He was registered under the name Barry Soetoro, serial number 203. School documents listed Barry Soetoro as an Indonesian citizen and his religion
was listed as Islam. He will spend three years at Franciscus. [...]
All Indonesian students are required to
study religion at school and a young Barry Soetoro, being a Muslim, would have
been required to study Islam daily in school.
He called himself Barry as a child. Why did he change and go back to Barack Hussein? This was a conscious decision that he made. Why? And if Barack went to all the trouble of going from Barry to Barack Hussein, why are we vilified when calling him by the name he prefers?
He
would have been taught to read and write Arabic, to recite his prayers properly,
to read and recite from the Quran and to study the laws of Islam.
In his
autobiography, "Dreams From My Father," Obama mentions studying the Quran and
describes the public school as "a Muslim school."
According to Tine Hahiyary, one of Obama's teachers and the principal from 1971 through
1989, Barry actively took part in the Islamic religious lessons during his time
at the school. His teacher was named Maimunah and she lived in the Puncak area,
the Cianjur Regency. "I remembered that he had studied "mengaji"
(recitation of the Quran)" Tine said.
Obama himself recalls,
"In the Muslim school, the teacher wrote to tell mother I made faces
during Koranic studies."
Our guy
in Jakarta writes: "The actual usage of the word 'mengaji' in Indonesian and
Malaysian societies means the study of learning to recite the Quran in the
Arabic language rather than the native tongue. "Mengagi" is a word and a term
that is accorded the highest value and status in the mindset of fundamentalist
societies here in Southeast Asia. To put it quite simply, 'mengaji classes' are
not something that a non practicing or so-called moderate Muslim family would
ever send their child to. To put this in a Christian context, this is something
above and beyond simply enrolling your child in Sunday school
classes."
"The fact that Obama had attended mengaji classes is well known
in Indonesia and has left many there wondering just when Obama is going to come
out of the closet."
"As I've stated before, the evidence seems to quite
clearly show that both Ann Dunham and her husband Lolo Soetoro Mangunharjo were
in fact devout Muslims themselves and they raised their son as such."
In 2007,
Obama's classmate Rony Amiris describes young Barry as enjoying playing football and
marbles and being a very devout Muslim. Amir said, "Barry was previously
quite religious in Islam."
"We previously often asked him to the prayer
room close to the house. If he was wearing a sarong he looked funny," said
Rony.
Amiris now the manager of the Bank Mandiri, Jakarta, recently said, "Barry was previously quite religious in
Islam. His birth father, Barack Hussein Obama was a Muslim economist from
Kenya. Before marrying Ann Dunham, Hussein Obama was married to a woman from
Kenya who had seven children. All the relatives of Barry's father were very
devout Muslims"
In 2007, Emirsyah Satar, CEO of Garuda
Indonesia, was quoted as saying, "He (Obama) was often in the prayer
room wearing a 'sarong', at that time."

OK, so he was raised a Muslim. Why lie? Why? When did he leave? How?
Those who have left Islam are quite definitive about it. Vocal, even. How
did he leave? When? He claims to be a practicing Christian for 20
years. He is 47 years old. What was happening prior to age 27?
On March 14th, 2007, the Obama Campaign told
the LA Times that Obama was not a "practicing Muslim."
But his official

says: "Obama Has Never Been A Muslim, And Is a Committed Christian.

Wright is a supporter of Louis Farrakhan (who called Judaism a "gutter
religion" and depicted Jews as "bloodsuckers") and traveled with him to
visit Col. Muammar al-Gaddafi, archenemy of Israel's and a terror
supporter. Most recently, as head of the UN Security CouncilGaddafi
prevented condemnation of attacks against Israel. As Kyle-Anne Shriver

Surely Barack Obama wouldn't lie now would he? But did the
Obama camp really send CNN to Indonesia? Are we to believe that when
the accusations of Barack Obama attending a madrassa as a child first
broke on Fox News last year that Sam Feist's reply to the Obama camp
would be "Please relax. You furnish the money, I'll furnish the debunk."
Like
many Americans, my parents raised me to believe that it is the truth
that matters. It is. Network news broadcasts and newspaper reports have
the power to shape our perceptions, consciously and subliminally and as
consumers we naturally expect a bit of integrity on behalf of the
networks and media outlets. We expect that opinion and commentary are
clearly identified as such. What we don't expect is that the news has
been manufactured or bought and paid for. That CNN would assist Obama
in deceiving the American people is downright despicable and I think if
what Obama is saying is true, then both CNN and Obama owe the American
people an apology.
For Barack Obama, the facts are that he is a
liar and no one, not CNN or Sam Feist is ever going to change that
fact. There is no amount of spin, flooding the internet or debunking
that is ever going to change the fact that Barack Hussein Obama was
born a Muslim and that he practiced Islam as a child, no more than I
can change the fact that I was born and baptized a Catholic and
attended Catholic school as a child.
Barack Obama often speaks
of hope and change, but for a man that truly aspires to lead our
nation, hope and change will simply not suffice, there can be no
dignity without honesty.
By his fruits we shall know him, and so we know him.

Who are Obama's Foreign
Policy Advisors?
Newsweek published
a list of Senator Obama's foreign
policy advisers that included Zbigniew Brzezinski and Robert
Malley. A few weeks
later, the Washington Post on October 2, 2007 published a list
of foreign policy advisers for all the major candidates, which list included the
names of Zbigniew Brzezinski, Robert Malley, Samantha Power and Susan Rice as
advisers to Senator Obama.
Subsequently, Martin Peretz -- an Obama supporter -- wrote at the end of
December that he got the "shudders"
when thinking about the foreign policy influence of "Zbigniew Brzezinski...
Anthony Lake, Susan Rice and Robert O. Malley".
Peretz touched upon some of
the reasons to be concerned about Malley, whom he characterized as "the most
horrific name on the list". He was particularly concerned about the impact on
America-Israel relations given Brzezinski's and Malley's involvement.
Brzezinski's lack of concern for the safety and security of Israel is well
known. Opposition to his role in the campaign was voiced across the political
spectrum. Peretz touched
upon some of the reasons to be concerned about the role of Malley, which were
further developed in an article on our
site that focused on a long
series of articles Malley has written that reveal views that should give pause
to all those concerned about the future of the America-Israel
relationship.
The articles on Obama and his
advisors in American Thinker were sourced to many news outlets before
we characterized the individuals as foreign policy advisers. Subsequent to the
controversy, some pushback from the campaign has developed. Emails have been
circulating denying that Malley is an adviser or that stating that he does not
provide advice on the Middle East, or denying that Zbigniew Brzezinski advises
on issues related to Israel and the Palestinians. As Commentary's Noah
Pollak has asked,
is there just clever wordplay going on (otherwise, known as "spin")?
He wants a "non military" Israel. In other words, a death sentence. This is the strategy of an annihilationist. He made this statement to Jews a couple of days ago:
and frankly some of the commentary that I've seen which suggests
guilt by association or the notion that unless we are never ever going
to ask any difficult questions about how we move peace forward or
secure Israel that is non military or non belligerent or doesn't talk
about just crushing the opposition that that somehow is being soft or
anti-Israel....
On actual foreign policy, Obama's support of Odinga in the Kenyan bloodbaths is, by far, the darkest indication that Obama sides with Islamists and their handmaidens. Obama is backing the opposition to America's ally in Kenya, President Kibaki.
CAROLINE GLICK: Kibaki is close ally of the US in the war against Islamic terror. In stark
contrast, Odinga is an ally of Islamic extremists. On August 29 Odinga wrote a
letter to Kenya's pro-jihadist National Muslim Leaders Forum. There he pledged
that if elected he would establish Sharia courts throughout the country; enact
Islamic dress codes for women; ban alcohol and pork; indoctrinate schoolchildren
in the tenets of Islam; ban Christian missionary activities, and dismiss the
police commissioner, "Who has allowed himself to be used by heathens and
Zionists."
Although Odinga is an Anglican, he referred to Islam as the "one true
religion" and scorned Christians as "worshipers of the cross." Obama strongly
supports Odinga who claims to be his cousin. As Daniel Johnson reported recently
in the New York Sun, during his 2006 visit to Kenya, Obama was so
outspoken in his support for Odinga that the Kenyan government complained to the
State Department that Obama was interfering with the internal politics of the
country. After the Dec. 27 elections Obama interrupted a campaign appearance in
New Hampshire to take a call from Odinga.

Obama's call to talk to, to negotiate with dictatorial terror states -- Iran, Syria, the axis of evil -- is incremental surrender. Iran has been at war with with us since '79 and has inflicted great harm and American casualties. They have vowed "Death to America", "Death to Israel". Their objective is a pax islamica. They are feverishly developing nuclear weaponry.
The war scare that wasn’t [the recent incident between Iranian speedboats and
the U.S. Navy in the Straight of Hormuz] stands as a metaphor for the
incoherence of our policy toward Iran: the Bush Administration attempts to gin
up international outrage by making a claim of imminent danger, only to be met
with international eye rolling when the claim is disproved. Sound familiar? The
speedboat episode bore an uncanny resemblance to the Administration’s
allegations about the advanced state of Iran’s weapons program–allegations
refuted in December by the National Intelligence Estimate.
I have no problem with Obama's Islamic bona fides. If anything, he has firsthand knowledge. It could position him to know better than anyone else what is at stake here. My problem is that he does not call for reformation of Islam. My problem is that he appears to support Islamic jihad. It would seem perfectly reasonable that an ex Muslim would consult Ibn Warraq, Ayaan Hirsi Ali, Wafa Sultan, Robert Spencer et al. But this is absolutely not the case. He surrounds himself with dhimmis, appeasers, and members of the Nation of Islam.
MEMRI: In a special address to Iran's Assembly of Experts, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad expounded his idea of a perfect society and his views on the Islamic Revolution and Muslim ideology.(1) He stated that the Islamic Revolution and the establishment of the Islamic Republic of Iran were the "two greatest events of the contemporary history, since they marked the continuation of the path laid before mankind by the divine Prophets, next to the appointment of Prophet Muhammad as messenger of Allah and the martyrdom of the Prophet's grandson Imam Hussain."
Ahmadinejad also said that the Islamic Revolution was "a long leap towards mankind's reaching the peak of perfection," and added that the Iranian nation's mission was to become a model for humanity by living an exemplary and perfect life, based on the only perfect ideology ? Obama is wrong on every issue. Dangerously wrong. But he is right when he says America is divided. There are America lovers and America haters. He is in the latter camp. The man is not selling "hope", he is selling despair.

(IsraelNN.com) French President Nicolas Sarkozy has dropped his proposal to
teach the Holocaust to children following a wave of protests from left wing
politicians. He told the annual conference of the French Jewish umbrella group
last month that every pupil should be assigned a name of a Jewish deportee
during the Nazi rule and then research the family. Critics objected to the plan,
arguing that it would cause schoolchildren to suffer trauma.
The
government will explore other avenues to "encourage children in classrooms to
look at, not other children in particular, but rather a given situation in a
given city," according to former government minister and Auschwitz survivor
Simone Veil. He agreed with opponents of the proposal, saying it was
"unimaginable, unbearable and unjust."

literature, general literature, stickers and bumper stickers. In addition we
want the volunteers to emphasize that the election is the following Tuesday and
encourage them to vote. That way we can reach every Muslim that went to Mosque
the Friday before the election inshalla. Attached is a list of every Mosque in
Columbus, if we have missed one please let me know ASAP. In addition if there is
a particular Mosque you would prefer to attend Juma at and volunteer let me
know.
To accomplish this we need to have a training/meeting and have
volunteers pick up the necessary materials before volunteers go to the Mosques.

there's no way for the Obama campaign to distance themselves from this
potentially illegal effort as the scheduled meeting will be taking place in the
Obama OSU campus headquarters. While the mosques themselves might have plausible
deniability (we didn't know they were going to show up), it appears that the
Obama campaign may be involved in illegal electioneering by deliberately
targeting tax exempt institutions.
When liberalism was dominant but hidebound in the second half of
the last century, he pioneered a new direction that transformed American
politics.
William F. Buckley Jr.'s death severs the last remaining link
between contemporary American conservatism and its founding generation.
In 1950, the literary critic Lionel Trilling could assert "the
plain fact" that there were no conservative ideas "in general circulation." That
confidence would be ground away. In 1951, Bill Buckley made his name with "God
and Man at Yale," which critiqued his alma mater for its hostilities to
capitalism and religion. Four years later, Buckley founded National Review. He
was 29.
In its fecund early period in the 1950s and '60s, National Review
helped introduce a modern conservatism into American political life. Buckley and
his talented stable of editors and contributors gave coherence and shape to what
he called "a fusion" of traditionalism, anti-Communist internationalism and
free-market economics. Equally important, the magazine worked to discredit
fringe elements like the John Birchers, the Jew-haters and the Lindbergh
isolationists.
Buckley started National Review, with an understated founding statement:
Let's face it: Unlike Vienna, it seems altogether possible that did
National Review not exist, no one would have invented it. The launching of a
conservative weekly journal of opinion in a country widely assumed to be a
bastion of conservatism at first glance looks like a work of supererogation,
rather like publishing a royalist weekly within the walls of Buckingham Palace.
It is not that, of course; if National Review is superfluous, it is so for very

National Review is out of place, in the sense that the United
Nations and the League of Women Voters and the New York Times and Henry Steele
Commager are in place. It is out of place because, in its maturity,
literate America rejected conservatism in favor of radical social
experimentation. Instead of covetously consolidating its premises, the United
States seems tormented by its tradition of fixed postulates having to do with
the meaning of existence, with the relationship of the state to the individual,
of the individual to his neighbor, so clearly enunciated in the enabling
documents of our Republic.
As NR's editors note in paying tribute to him today, Buckley's
and his magazine's influence proved far-reaching:
If ever an institution were the lengthened shadow of one man, this
publication is his. So we hope it will not be thought immodest for us to say
that Buckley has had more of an impact on the political life of this
country--and a better one--than some of our presidents. He created modern
conservatism as an intellectual and then a political movement. He kept it from
drifting into the fever swamps. And he gave it a wit, style, and intelligence

real time, I thought that Obama failed to denounce Farrakhan and that
Hillary Clinton caught it and confronted him. It was the single most impressive
thing I've seen Hillary Clinton do in the debates. But then Obama managed to
cloud things up and make her point seem silly, and she backed down.
UNITED NATIONS - Louise Arbour, the UN High Commissioner for Human Rights, backed away yesterday from what appeared to be unqualified support for a new pan-Arab human rights charter that includes a commitment to eliminate Zionism.
The former Canadian Supreme Court justice had said in a statement that she
welcomed the Arab Charter on Human Rights, a document critics say equates
Zionism with racism, and some believe seeks the destruction of Israel.
There was some serious pressure brought to bear.
In Ottawa, the Conservative government called on Ms. Arbour to wash her hands
completely of the charter. "Eradicating Zionism would mean the eradication of
the Jewish state," Tory MP Pierre Poilievre told the Commons yesterday.
Amnesty International, the International Commission of Jurists and
Geneva-based UN Watch are among groups lobbying for changes to the Arab
charter's wording.
Despite Ms. Arbour's clarification, her initial statement has sparked outrage
among some members of Canada's Jewish community.
"As Canadians, we are ashamed of Ms. Arbour's actions," said Frank Dimant,
executive vice-president of B'nai Brith Canada. "The fact that she holds the
position of UN High Commissioner for Human Rights brings disrepute to that
institution, further diminishing its standing as any kind of moral arbiter."

area in northern Jerusalem recently warning travelers, “You are entering
territory under the control of the Palestinian Authority. Israelis are
absolutely forbidden to enter!” Approximately 25,000 residents of Jerusalem,
some of them Israeli citizens, live in the areas now designated as PA
territory.
Jerusalem Forum chairman Aryeh King said Wednesday that approximately 1,200
dunams of property owned by Jews were located beyond the signs. The government
violated laws regarding Jerusalem by putting up the signs, King said. The signs
prove the government is acting to make its policy of splitting Jerusalem a
