Bill Russell, hero, warrrior Great American has been stopped dead in his tracks in his race against John Murtha. The corrupt, rotting Tamany Hall style thuggery go our man Russell, knocked off the ticket.

Carolyn wrote me, "a noble war veteran of Iraq - William Russell - resigned from the Army in order to run against Murtha - only to be betrayed by the RNC.  TWO Republicans (count them!) went to court and demanded a judge disqualify Russell for insufficient valid signatures to place his name on the ballot.  Apparently - according to the Republicans - Russell had only 993 signatures of the 1000 needed. Russell has been forced to drop out because he has no money to fight the court battle."

Where is the damn Republican National Party?

"That leaves Democratic John "I never met a Marine I didn't try to stab in the back" Murtha as the shoo-in candidate this November. Murtha is unopposed by Democrats.  (And kissed in his pork barrel ass by the Republicans.

WE MUST NOT LET THIS HAPPEN. We can help get Russell back on the ticket to beat that fat, bloviating, theiving, bureacrat. But we need you.

Congressman Murtha’s actions have done more to lead us toward political defeat in this war than the enemy could ever hope to accomplish by their own devices. His calls for withdrawal of our forces  and limiting the authority of the Commander-in-Chief in executing this war, plays directly into the hands of our enemy. He is undermining our Soldiers in the fight and encourages the enemy to kill or maim a few more of our Soldiers and kill large numbers of Iraqi civilians on a weekly basis.

I just listened to this interview on podcast.

Pamela- this hero, Bill Russell is GREAT! He is the exact opposite of Murtha - he's a man of principle, who understands the threat we face, who understands the damage done by 30 years of Murtha's corruption.

We MUST help him get the 1000 write-in votes at the April 22 primary election.

I urge everyone reading this to go to Johnstown, PA in southwest PA and help stir up the voters to write in his name and also to send him contributions.

Pamela, thanks for this story. I grew up in that area of PA and this is the first I heard about it. Last year I stopped giving donations to the RNC b/c they would not back conservatives. After reading this story & getting McCain it looks like I made the right decision. My donation IS in the mail to William Russell for Congress.
