Not Covering Rudy

From our Rudy Operative:

(Maybe Bilal Hussein filed this story from Baghdad? or Beirut?)

The Associated (With Terrorists) Press filed this story re: today's event, and included 4 photos. 3 were of the Ron Paulians, 1 was of Rudy (with signs behind him) and 1 was of a DOG. The reporting on this is a scandal. Not 1 pic from inside the place--- PACKED TO THE GILLS with supporters.

More on the Paulistinians here.

The hag in pink -- who looks like a Central Casting Jew-hater-- was the one I blew smoke rings at.

Notice also the same witch in the 2nd photo.

They couldn't do ONE decent one, eh?

Noise and More Noise at Giuliani Event

PALM BEACH GARDENS, Fla. (AP) — What happens when a Rudy Giuliani campaign event, Ron Paul spoilers and anti-abortion protesters collide? Not a press conference, that's for sure.

Giuliani's campaign scheduled what is known in the political world as a "meet and greet," a supposedly impromptu opportunity for a candidate to stroll through a place where lots of people are gathered. In fact the event is planned in advance.

It was no secret that the Republican presidential candidate and former New York mayor was going to be at TooJay's Original Gourmet Deli on Tuesday.

So when Giuliani showed up at the shopping mall where the restaurant is, he was greeted by supporters, reporters and staff, and a few dozen enthusiastic backers of Paul, a long-shot GOP rival. The Paul backers have shadowed Giuliani at many events. At the deli, they held signs behind his head so that any camera shot of Giuliani could appear as an advertisement for Paul.

After Giuliani worked the crowd inside, aides signaled to the media that he would take a few questions on the plaza outside the restaurant. A spot was selected, a rope line set up. Then Giuliani emerged, and things fell apart.

The Paul loyalists had really healthy lungs. Their repeated shouts of "Ron Paul! Ron Paul!" were loud enough that no one could think, much less speak. The Giuliani people countered with "Rudy! Rudy!" to keep their guy in the game.

And then came the anti-abortion contingent. They were an even smaller crowd but outshouted the other two groups. "Rudy is not a true conservative! Rudy is a traitor to innocent life! You need to go to confession!"

Giuliani gave it his best shot. For nearly three minutes, the reporters around him tried to ask questions. He gamely tried to answer about his campaign strategy, Iraq, the economy. He tried to quiet people down, and so did others, but to no avail.

So Giuliani pulled the plug and suggested the question session move inside. The conditions were really cramped, but at least everyone could hear.

Ayn Rand at 100: "Yours is the Glory"

  • Aynrandstamp_1

  • Speaking to the unnamed, unchampioned, beating heart of her new land, Ayn was to say: 'Yours is the glory.'"
A man whose ability and independence leads others to reject him, but who perseveres nevertheless to achieve his values. Man as an individual, as a creator. What's the most depraved type of human being? Not a sadist or a murderer or a sex maniac or a dictator; "The man without a purpose." Yet most people seem to go through their lives without a clearly defined purpose.

  • Life has Loveliness to sell,
    All beautiful and splendid things,
Blue waves whitened on a cliff,
Soaring fires that sways and swing,
    And children's faces looking up,
    Holding wonder like a cup

    Life has Loveliness to sell,
Music like a curve of Gold,
Scent of pinetrees in the rain,
Eyes that love you, arms that hold,
And for your spirit's still delight,
Holy stars that star the night.

Spend all you have for loveliness,
    Buy it and never count the cost;
For one white singing hour of Peace
Count many a year of strife well lost
And for a breath of ecstasy
Give all you have been, or could be.
