Mitt Romney gives his "Faith in America" speech. Starts at 10:30. Watch it live here. Another giant step for the new media .............. yeah baby! Robert Spencer pointed out here, Romney is the only presidential candidate to use the word jihad - for that alone he deserves a listen.
UPDATE: Too much religious talk. If I want a religious sermon I'll got to my house of worship. Where's the beef?
10:51 am: Nearly tuned out. Glad I didn't He is talking hate speech in mosques ..................... good
"Empty cathedrals in Europe'
UPDATE: Little substance in that speech. Lots of fire and brimstone. I don't think it's necessary to repeatedly express your love for "our lord Jesus Christ " in an election speech but perhaps he is looking to steal some of Huckabee's recent thunder.
One's relationship with G-d is personal. That said I love this new technology and hope to do more of it in the run up to the most critical Presidential race in recent history.
You can read the Romney speech here.

I dont have time to watch it yet.. so I'm not clear what he says but I will tell you this.
I donnt want any more fuckign "compassionate conservatives".. No "I feel your pain Christians"... no "It's not fair to punish a child for his illegal parents".. Fuck you, yes it is fair.
I want a President with righteous anger and determination, firm in his knoweldge that God does indeed want him to kick islamic ass all over the world lest it kick ours.

Contrary to what many hope, Romney can not and will not garner any kind of significant evangelical following of voters. While many people don't understand the difference between Mormon (LDS) and the rest of Christendom, Evangelicals do, And they aren't going to vote for Romney over Huckabee on issues of religious focus.

I have to say that I admire Romney as a man. And I thought it was a good speech. As long as you don't wear your religion on your sleeve, it is reasonable to see the difference between a secular society (postmodern Europe, with collapsing birthrates, importing hostile Muslims, increasing anti-Semitism) and Christian America.
My concern with Romney is whether he is posing as a newly converted religious conservative. His actions as governor of Massachusetts were not vigorous enough in fighting the unconstitutional decision of the Mass. Supreme Court ordering the state legislature to write a new definition of marriage into the law. Right now, I'm still with Fred.
