So Thankful

THANKSGIVING!

Pamela_072

So thankful for my girls,  my life,  my country, the pursuit of happiness,  the men and women that stand guard and defend us -- our freedoms... thankful for my readers, my fellow fighters, my music, my books, my movies, ART!, poetry, kindreds, BTWA. I am thankful for your support, your daily emails,  and  and I am thankful for .......... Atlas.

Hey guys, take a second and go here to thank the real heroes.

John Jay expressed this to me, "may we all take thanks as we reflect upon the bounty of our lives, and the love of our families, and the wonder and glory of our very existence.

may g_d bless each of you, and keep you enthusiastically in the hunt for and the attainment of personal happiness.

to each of you, to all of yours, a happy thanksgiving, and may you bask in the presence of your loved ones."

Carolyn adds,

It gets me tearful at times to realize how lucky I am.  Just even the small things - like turning on a tap and getting clean water by the gallons, flicking a switch and light floods my apartment.  I am warm, well fed (in fact - after tomorrow - over fed), I have tons of books to read and DVD's to watch and music to listen to.  I have savings, I am healthy - and most of all I live in the greatest country that's ever existed.

And I have wonderful people like you to commune with.

Doesn't get any better than that.

Happy Thanksgiving!

And remember,

When you sit down this year to celebrate, remember that the essential, secular meaning of Thanksgiving is the celebration of successful production. Thanksgiving is the producer's holiday. More at the Atlasphere.

Happy Turkey Day from the snow-dusted Midwest USA.

Happy Thanksgiving to you from the liberal city of San Francisco!!!

Have a Blessed Thanksgiving today and every
day from the great state of Texas!

Thank you Pamela for all that you do to keep us informed 24/7, 365 days a year.
You are a treasure to all of us.

Pamela,

Thank you for your energy and devotion to doing the right thing, for communicating the need for us to carry on with our efforts to protect and defend our society.

Thank you for sharing with us your beautiful children, to remind us that it is not about us and our generation but instead it is about them and all the generations to come. It is for them that we must defend, preserve, teach, and build our families and communities.

The turkey is in the oven, the last leaves are falling, we are at this most American of holidays, sharing a warm cyber-embrace, praying for our best brothers, sisters, sons and daughters that have stepped forward to mix it up with barbarians --- one might comment that these are interesting times, but in fact, all time has been interesting, we are just living the version of this current era, at least those of us who see through clear eyes.

Happy Thanksgiving.

You gonna watch the Laurel & Hardy movie about the tin soldiers and toyland they show every T-day in NY (at least they did when I lived in Massapequa as a child).?.?

Pamela, I am thankful for you and those like you who are unafraid to speak the truth. G-d bless you darling! Consume mass quantities, get fat, get naked and enjoy!!! ;)

It is snowing in Midland, TX!

Happy Thanksgiving to you from the liberal city of San Francisco!!!

The name of that wonderful movie is The March of the Wooden Soldiers, also known as Babes in Toyland.

One of my favorite childhood movies. It took me years to shake off a fear of bogeymen.

Happy Tanksgiving all! Well, maybe not so much for Lions fans, go Pack!

Happy Thanksgiving from Israel!

Also in Israel here. Without realizing that today is Thanksgiving, my wife served turkey drumsticks for dinner this evening. The kids call them brontosaurus legs.

Pam,
There are so many things I'm thankful for I couldn't name them all, but here are some: Western Civilization, USA, Israel, the old and new testaments, and not least of all, Atlas Shugs.

Keep fighting the good fight.

Good hunting, my friend. I will be sure to toast you tonight.

I say G*d bless America everyday - and you have yourself and your blog to thank for a big chunk of that :-).

Happy Thanksgiving and good hunting, for our liberty is entrusted to heroes like you :-).

Ayn Rand at 100: "Yours is the Glory"

  • Aynrandstamp_1

  • Speaking to the unnamed, unchampioned, beating heart of her new land, Ayn was to say: 'Yours is the glory.'"
A man whose ability and independence leads others to reject him, but who perseveres nevertheless to achieve his values. Man as an individual, as a creator. What's the most depraved type of human being? Not a sadist or a murderer or a sex maniac or a dictator; "The man without a purpose." Yet most people seem to go through their lives without a clearly defined purpose.

  • Life has Loveliness to sell,
    All beautiful and splendid things,
Blue waves whitened on a cliff,
Soaring fires that sways and swing,
    And children's faces looking up,
    Holding wonder like a cup

    Life has Loveliness to sell,
Music like a curve of Gold,
Scent of pinetrees in the rain,
Eyes that love you, arms that hold,
And for your spirit's still delight,
Holy stars that star the night.

Spend all you have for loveliness,
    Buy it and never count the cost;
For one white singing hour of Peace
Count many a year of strife well lost
And for a breath of ecstasy
Give all you have been, or could be.
