DMV Bans Ex-Cops Anti-Osama tag
This is offensive
Not this, asshats.
PLATE DEBATE DMV BANS EX-COP'S ANTI-OSAMA TAG NY Post hat tip Helen
November 19, 2007 -- The federal government may have a $25 million reward for fugitive terrorist Osama bin Laden, but a retired city cop says the Department of Motor Vehicles has banned his "GETOSAMA" vanity license plates as offensive.
Arno Herwerth, 42, a retired NYPD sergeant from Hauppauge, in Suffolk County, told The Post he's flabbergasted by the DMV's kibosh, terming the agency's move as "unpatriotic" and political correctness run amok.
"This is unbelievable," an angry Herwerth told The Post, insisting he's puzzled at how his support for a US foreign policy goal can be viewed as objectionable.
Morally ill, I tell ya.

Every time I think that I can't possibly read anything even more idiotic than what has already happened, along comes a story such as this one.
What is the world is happening to America?

Pam, Sgt. Herwerth is another REAL American.
Remember the old TV show, "The Invaders"? And "Invasion of the Body-Snatchers"? Those are the people running the NY DMV.
Obviously, they are NOT "real Americans."
I predict, tho, that in a few years a whole cohort of people will move up in public office whose qualifications include fighting in the War on Islamism. These veterans, like the post WWII vet-pols, will have short patience for such disgraceful displays of official anti-Americanism.

I thought only 6 letters are allowed on NY license plates. Is the guy for real?
Perhaps he should have tried ALA SUX, that might have worked...

So if he paid in full, and they cashed his check, he should say EFF EM and put the plates on his car. Any cops that actually tries to ticket him should then be publicized as the stink bags they are... I suspect not many members of the NYPD will be interested in doing anything other than shaking this guys hand.

Oh, please. He'll flash his retirement ID and get a professional-courtesy tip of the hat and "see yah!"
And we can but hope that Iraq war vets get into positions of power soon enough to preserve some semblance of what this country is all about. I fear it is too late.
