BOYCOTT OFFICEMAX: SUBMITS TO CAIR
If CAIR can pressure companies, why can't we? According to today's CAIR alert, scandal ridden Officemax succumbed to CAIR thuggery. What pussies! Never again will I shop there ........... Contact their management and let them know what you think.
OFFICEMAX DROPS MICHAEL SAVAGE ADS OVER ANTI-ISLAM BIAS
(WASHINGTON, D.C., 11/15/2007) - The Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) today announced that OfficeMax, a leading office products retailer, has joined a growing list of companies that have stopped advertising on Michael Savage's nationally-syndicated radio program because of the host's anti-Muslim views.
CAIR recently reported that Savage, whose "The Savage Nation" airs on more than 300 radio stations nationwide, screamed attacks on Muslims, Islam and the Quran, Islam's revealed text, during his October 29, 2007, program.
UPDATE: TRK sent the OfficeMax contacts:
format - firstnamelastname@officemax.com
CEO - Sam Duncan - samduncan@officemax.com
CFO - Don Civgin - doncivgin@officemax.com
VP Marketing - Bob Thacker - bobthacker@officemax.com
Vice President, Diversity and Inclusion - CarolynnBrooks@officemax.comThe CEO and CFO are out of office, fill their boxes while they are out.
Now they are trying to bully JC Penney. Write JC penney and let them know how you feel. NOW (And let Officemax know how pissed your are.)
ASK JCPENNEY TO FOLLOW OFFICEMAX'S EXAMPLE
IMMEDIATE ACTIONS REQUESTED: (As always, be POLITE. Hostile comments can and will be used by Savage to further defame Islam and Muslims.)
1. CONTACT JCPenney, today's featured "Savage Nation" advertiser. (Other advertisers will be featured in the future.)
As part of the ongoing campaign to ask companies that advertise on "The Savage Nation" to stop buying air time on that program, today's featured company is JCPenney. Please contact company officials to express your concerns about their support of such a hate-filled program.

One more reason this geek loves Office Depot. Heck, I'll kiss my Office Depot Worklife rewards card!!!! Pissing off CAIR and not the anti-jihad Muslims = a good reason to shop at the competitor. Even if with a talk show host I find bordering on repugnant.
(My idea of talk radio: Atlas Shrugs. Beryl Wajsman of Montreal. Christy Clark of Vancouver, BC. KVI's The Commentators of Seattle.)
Also thanks for linking to the Tacoma News-Tribune... best newspaper, editorial board notwithstanding, in my home state/statist nation-state of Washington. They support the troops 100%.
Oh and one other thing: OfficeMax - at least the one in Burlington, WA - has always had below par customer service with people who didn't know about the wares they were selling. Office Depot in Mount Vernon, WA - always an A- or better knowledgible about everything and willing to work problems with customers like me.
So remember: Office Depot, not OfficeMax!

I think I will write Office Max a strongly-worded letter.
/Look, ma! I'm the U.N.!

I've spent lots of $$ at Office Max. No more.

Ack. Office Max sells overpriced crap anyway. I only used them because we don't have a decent copy store anywhere. Guess I'll have to go somewhere else now...

Boycotts cut both ways! I heartily applaud what you are doing. I linked to this article from here: CAIR boycotts us - we boycott them!
By the way, as I mentioned in the above blog post, the software firm Citrix has already pulled their ads from Michael Savage's show. Shame on them - not that I ever liked their software in the first place...it's painfully slow...
Foehammer has been running a Boycott Islam campaign for quite some time. You might want to visit that link and lend your support. He could use some help!

Hmmmm. I wonder if Christopher Milliken is related to that junk bond bastard Michael Milliken who caused a lot of people to lose big $$$$ almost 20 years ago.

1389 - That was Michael Milken, I believe. I know it was not "Milliken"; not sure how the junk bond guy spells his name.
I, for one, find Michael Savage a screeching, noisy, strident, shrill, and repulsive little closet-case handwringer. I can't stand him.
That being said, I find OfficeMax's move to be a repulsive one. IF, and that is a mighty big "if", if they pulled the ads as a result of CAIR pressure. CAIR might be pulling a Focus on the Family gambit here. Ford sales fell quite a bit, and FOF latched on saying the sales drop was as a result of FOF's demand that Good Christians (Reg US Pat Off) boycott them.

RE: Michael Milkin ...
Whoever you are you have it wrong about him.
He defrauded NOBODY and was railroaded. I am very sorry I can't remember the name of book or the author who wrote and exposed the sham trial.
Milkin delt in junk bonds. Bad sounding name BUT ... you might be interested to know that Radio Shack (among many) was once a junk bond issue. Were it not for him, that company might not have seen the light of day.
Did he possibly take shortcuts? Sure. He may well have done, but he cheated nobody.
No one lost money due to Milkin.
But Bosky walked free after spilling his cowardly guts to cut a deal and he lied!
Milkin was INNOCENT!

Send your Staples and Office Depot receipts to Office Max's corporate headquarters and your local Office Max, and let them know why.
