Always .... an Open Thread
I was searching for "Always" - a magnificent song.
Anyway, in my search I came upon this video. I don't know who these folks are and I don't know their devoted daughter who lovingly created this video for them, but I know them. This video touched me deeply. It's everything, everything I love about men, women, devotion, this country, and the future. For those quick to call me cornball - I say guilty as charged :)
And while I chronicle the wrong turns America has taken off her path, in the end - it's all about this video.
Always - Patsy Cline.

Sweet video. Easy to see how the Mum was a pagent winner. She is stunning. Great find Pamela, thanks for sharing.

I agree with Schweggie. The mother is very beautiful. The time period appears to be late 1940's to about 1950, judging from the hairstyles, cars and fashions.
Pam, you are more than just Jewish, you are truly an American and love the greatest things about the USA. Family; memories; raising kids. Big hug!!

Thought you might want to read about Tony Blair's economic development plan for 'ordinary Palestinians on the ground'. I think he's onto something - try to divorce the people from the demagogues and show what progress really is.

I love PC. Great find. The military pix are all from Korea, and since she was a pageant winner in 47 we can pretty well guess he was in the Korean war. No greater love then what this women shows for her parents.

Stogie, you took the words right outta my mouth: Pam, you're a real American! We need more real Americans...Esp. in NYC.

Now that I have been banned from LGF, for pointing out obvious reasons why a European in Fjordman's position might not want to publically identify himself, I guess I'll be posting more weather reports here at Atlas's blog.
Watching chance (not a sure thing) for freezing rain, maybe even ending as snow, near DFW this weekend.

ED! A WEATHER REPORT! I am honored indeed.
Glad to see ya :)

when will america get back to the time when burning tokyo to the ground was thought to be moral and americans didnt dispute the fact that if it had an enemy , it had to be defeated utterly?

uh, not anytime soon, shmu

This beautiful video puts me into a strange fugue ... As America fades and fades, as the dollar collapses, and as yet the Great Satan remains best buds with the Elders of Zion, what is going to be the explanation by the competition? Without America and the Jews to kick around, what will they do? Dig up Nixon?

You, of all people, Ed? As I mentioned on other, "forbidden" ( just belonging to them gets you banned from that fooseballs joint... ) places, the better, and best, commentators are all getting banned from there... soon, there will only be left a mutual admiration society, i.e., an echo chamber. Pity.
The video is from my era... dead worlds, trailing behind me...

Ed, you were banned for copy/pasting comments from lgf on to a blog that does nothing but diss lgf and charles. Echo chamber my ass. The ego's that are banned from lgf are banned because they do not respect the host and his guildelines for his blog. Get real, Ed. As for the rest of the people who like to say that lgf is nothing now that you've been banned - lgf and the great work Charles does has launched more sites like his - for the betterment of all of us who are eager to destroy the global jihad and extremes from both the right and left. Without the 'blog daddy' there would be no Atlas and the like - so blog babies quit yer cryin' - my two cents - for what it's worth.

Can everyone for the love of God please not fight about LGF. I think way more than enough has been said. It is sad.
Pamela, this is a great vid. No it is not cornball. Thanks for finding it. I am going to investigate the lady. What do you want to bet she was a student at TWU or even UT? My money is on TWU.

SalamiBaloney sounds like the brown-noser that posts at LGF as W-Lover, Sharmuta and Highrise.
Please, let me know if I'm wrong.

Ed, you're as wrong in this ASSumption as you are for copy/pasting over at the sites that cropped up as a result of being banned at lgf. Period. Just admit it was not a real smart move...and move on. I have. I support Atlas and the accuracy of her site and her courage for being true to her word. Which is more than you can say, Ed. Now go back to printing weather updates - that's what you're good at.

No name calling. I won't have it. I am glad Ed is here.

Whatever, Sharmuta. I can assume you are whoever I want to assume you are, since you are too gutless to use your better known nic.
Anyway, one final once and for all.
(re-printed from GCP)
I think this one is owned by Tasty Beverage. But probably not the only one.
Good chance. But honestly, I already knew that someone (I was thinking the Siamese Triplet poster of W-Lover and its sock puppets Highrise and Sharmuta) had registered at GCP and read the members only thread. I even mentioned it. I took a lot more care six months ago to do nothing to get banned, and while I was careful to say nothing here I wouldn’t say at LGF (and was ultimately banned for copying and pasting my own comments), as things got more dimensional, the Europe harping became endless, people like Buckeye Abroad left, well, I sort of decided it wasn’t the end of the world.
I have always posted at every blog with a nic that was a variation of Ed Mahmoud. I’m not gutless like some people, and talk crap about people through a sock puppet while talking nicely about them with a different nic.
BTW, although it seems like Chaz. attacks on the Swedish Democrats faded quickly for lack of real evidence that the party was still led by racists and neo-Nazis, I fully agreed the stuff about VB was pretty damning. While I am not comfortable with that, I can understand how some people in Europe, who know the situation on the ground better than I do, who have never lived there, or even Charles Johnson, who claims expert knowledge on the basis of several tours of Europe as a jazz guitarist, might feel an alignment with the imperfect is needed to confront the Islamic takeover.
What finally tipped me last night, and I knew it could get me booted, was the endless obsession with Fjordman. I’m not a 100% Fjordman supporter. I suspect it might be as much linguistic error as actual opinion, but his ideas about keeping Norway Norwegian, if interpreted correctly, might mean keeping darker skinned Egyptian or Ethiopian Copts, who are willing to learn the language, join the labor force, and respect the laws and culture of Norway, out, because they aren’t ethnic Norwegian. I suspect that isn’t what he means, it is more a language issue.
But daily threads ragging on Fjordman. And then a refusal to apologize for mistating something about Fjordman because Fjordman deems it advisable in the Europe of Theo Van Gogh to publish under an alias? Charles has no respect for publishing under an alias.?!?.?!? To quote Rayra “Cough- ‘Zombie’-Cough”.

As a member of the group that was unceremoniously banned at LGF for daring to cross the street and not tow the harpy line, I am ashamed at the sickeningly shabby way that Ed was treated. There were some of us that probably deserved to be banned, though I don't associate with them; Ed didn't do anything to merit the quiet banning, and he certainly didn't do anything to earn the tongue lashing excuse that Chucky gave for the whipping. Ed didn't do anything but politely disagree that Fjordman (whom I haven't had any dealings with) should ahve to reveal his true identity. Hell, it's an online blog! Most people don't reveal their true identities. Chucky banned him for disagreeing, pure and simple. Then he began to rewrite the circumstances of the banning so his little sheeples could better understand his "reason" for banning. Of course (looking at YOU, SalamiBaloney) there was a lot of bleating from the sheeple that Ed deserved what he got. Charles, enjoy your little blog while it lasts; soon you'll only have sycophants posting there. But then, that's become your style over the last 27 months, hasn't it?
